Abstract

The dynamics of global economic development is currently undergoing a paradigm shift where the resource-based economy becomes a knowledge and creativity-based economy or known as the creative economy. The creative economy is growing rapidly, supported by advances in information technology that produces information media such as the internet. The internet has become a means to meet the needs of the community in running their business, one of which is used for marketing or what is known as digital marketing. The right digital marketing strategy can be used to reach the targeted market segment so that it can increase profits for businesses and increase income for business actors. This study aims to analyze the influence of Digital Marketing and Business Capital on the Income of MSME actors in the Medan Area District. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this study were all MSME actors in the District of Medan Area with an undetermined or uncertain number. By using the Hair formula, the maximum number of samples is 100 respondents. In this study, the number of samples was 96 respondents. The data used in this study is primary data obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to MSME actors in the Medan Area District. The data analysis technique applied in this study is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 23 as a data processing tool

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial technology (fintech) and consumer behavior on consumer purchase preferences in Medan City in the digital era. The method used is a quantitative approach with a survey of 100 respondents in Medan who routinely use digital wallet applications, as well as data analysis using Partial Least Squares (PLS) through SmartPLS software. The results showed that fintech had a positive and significant effect on purchase preferences with a path coefficient of 0.374 (p = 0.003, f² = 0.181), while consumer behavior had a stronger impact with a coefficient of 0.455 (p = 0.000, f² = 0.268). The two variables together explain the 57.4 % variability of purchasing decision preferences (R² = 0.574), with strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.510). The results of this study show that the integration of fintech payment and consumer behavior together contributes significantly to consumer purchase preferences in the Medan City. Practical recommendations from the study include improving digital and financial literacy through integrated education programs for all levels of society, as well as simplifying the e-money application interface to make it more intuitive and accessible.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the application of financial technology (fintech) and innovation strategies on the competitive advantage of Pizza Hut in East Medan District. The quantitative method was used by distributing incidental questionnaires to 100 active consumers at the Medan Timur outlet, then the data was analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling to test the validity, reliability, and causality path. The results showed that fintech through the integration of e-wallet and QRIS had a positive and significant influence on competitive advantage (path coefficient 0.563, t-statistic 5.275, f² = 0.547), while product and process innovation strategies including local pizza variants, bundling packages, ordering chatbots, and real-time order tracking made a significant contribution (coefficient 0.393, t-statistic 3.646, f² = 0.267). The two variables together explain 85.3% of the variance of competitive advantage (R² = 0.853) with excellent predictive relevance (Q² = 0.844). These findings confirm that the integration of fintech capabilities with service innovation strategies is a source of sustainable competitive advantage. Practical implications include teams that can move according to their respective tasks to ensure fintech integration runs smoothly, strengthening point of sale infrastructure to connect with digital payment providers, front-line training, and optimizing promotions and menu personalization.
