Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of integrative learning based on Islamic values ​​on the religious attitudes of elementary school students in Social Studies (IPS). This study uses a quantitative approach with a true experimental design method. The sample consisted of 60 fourth-grade students of SDN Cemandi, the experimental and control groups. The instrument used was a multiple-choice religious attitude test that had been validated and tested for reliability. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS 26. The results of the validity test showed that 24 of the 30 items were valid (r ≥ 0.361) and reliable (α = 0.935). The data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the independent t-test showed a significant difference between the post-test scores of the experimental group (mean = 88.23) and the control group (mean = 82.83) with p = 0.041. The paired t-test also showed a significant increase in the experimental group between pre-test scores (mean = 62.73) and post-test scores (mean = 88.23) with p = 0.000. These results indicate that integrative learning based on Islamic values ​​has a significant effect on improving students' religious attitudes

Abstract

The article aims to analyze child-friendly schools in terms of facilities and infrastructure standards at elementary school Muhammadiyah Taman 2 Sidoarjo. This type of research is a qualitative research with a case study research design. The subject of this research is the existing facilities and infrastructure at elementary school Muhammadiyah 2 Taman which was taken using the triangulation technique. Collecting data was taken through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses a data reduction model, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification that developed by Miles and Huberman (2016). The results showed that the standard of facilities and infrastructure at elementary school Muhammadiyah 2 Taman had met the standards of child-friendly schools. Among the existing facilities the school meets the standard of facilities and infrastructure by having a land area of ??1562 m² and has a 3-story building that is protected from danger and access to evacuation, the building has met the standard of facilities and infrastructure set by the Education office, and there is a permit builder. Complete facilities and infrastructure such as having a classroom, library, laboratorium of. Science, room leadership, teacher's room, place of worship, latrine circulation room, playground, healthy canteen, symbol of a child-friendly school, communication media and counseling room that are in accordance with the standards that have been set. Abstract

The development of social media can accelerate, simplify, and improve the performance of educators to be more efficient and effective, thereby increasing productivity. Educators have begun to innovate in the learning process by utilizing the Instagram platform. Through this platform, many educational accounts have been found that provide information and knowledge, including Arabic language learning. This article presents the engagement and content strategies of three Instagram accounts (@kursuskuba, @kampungarab_pare, and @marhaban academy) in designing Arabic language learning. The research design used by the researcher employs content analysis with a descriptive qualitative approach. The analysis process was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data display, verification, and conclusions. Three Instagram accounts, KUBA, Marhaban Academy, and Kampung Arab Pare, utilize the Reels, Feed, Stories, Polling, Live, Quiz, and Q&A features to increase audience engagement and make Instagram an adaptive learning medium. KUBA emphasizes vocabulary, grammar, and interactive exercises; Marhaban focuses on vocabulary with engaging visuals; while Kampung Arab Pare emphasizes everyday communicative expressions. The findings of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of how digital content strategies and audience engagement can be optimized to support Arabic language learning, providing practical insights for educators, content creators, and language institutions in designing more effective and engaging learning experiences through social media platforms.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using Quizalize on the Arabic learning motivation of 11th grade student at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Sidoarjo. The background of this study is based on the low motivation of students in Arabic learning, which is still dominated by lecture methods, even though the school has eduquate technological facilities. This study used a quantitave approach with a quasi-experimental method and a One group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were 32 students in class XI-4. The instrument used was a learning motivation questionnaire with 20 statements based on five indicators, namely interest, attention, need for success, perseverance, and satisfaction. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics using the Paired Sample t-Test. The results showed that the average score of student learning motivation increased from 70.19 on the pretest to 81.34 on the posttest. The t-test results showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between before and after the use of Quizalize media. Thus, it can be concluded that Quizalize media has a positive and significant effect on increasing students' motivation to learn Arabic. This media is suitable as an alternative interactive learning tool to create a more enjoyable and motivating learning atmosphere.

Abstract

This paper examines the strengthening of students' religious character education through religious practices at Al-Islam Plus Krian Elementary School. The research employs a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion techniques. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The study identifies various religious activities that strengthen students’ character, including the 7S culture, praying before and after learning, reciting hadiths and daily prayers, Quran recitation, reading Asmaul Husna, istighosah, congregational prayers (Duha, Zuhr, Asar, Friday), tarjamah, tahfidz Al-Qur’an, and PHBI activities. The findings indicate that these religious practices have a significant impact on students, enhancing their understanding of positive behaviors and encouraging them to apply these practices in their daily lives according to Islamic Shariah principles.

Abstract

Arabic language learning can be fun and increase students' enthusiasm for learning if the learning is packaged in an exciting way, not seeming boring and difficult, namely with learning media. Learning media in the modern era now has many types and can utilize surrounding items or games that are packaged in an interesting way. Like the Ludo game which can be used as an interactive game media for students which can be proven by the difference in value between the Pretest value and the Posttest value using 35 respondents, the average value obtained before the media was 65.66 with a standard error of 0.646 and 35 respondents who were given the media, the average value was 81.49 with a standard error of 0.664, indicating that the Ludo game learning media can increase the maharah qiroah.

Abstract

The student exchange program between the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) and Sultan Zainal Abidin University (UniSZA) significantly contributes to developing students’ academic and linguistic competencies in cross-cultural learning contexts. This study explores the forms of culture shock experienced by students, their adaptation strategies, and the implications for academic development in Ma’ani Studies. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological perspective, and data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Findings reveal that students encounter culture shock related to the use of multiple languages, teaching methods, connectivity issues, and classroom dynamics. Adaptation strategies include group discussions, peer tutoring, the use of learning technologies, and institutional support. These strategies facilitate students’ adjustment while enhancing metacognitive awareness, language proficiency, and learning motivation. This adaptation process has implications for increasing students' metacognitive awareness, revitalizing language competencies (Ilmu Ma'ani), increasing intrinsic motivation in learning, and encouraging students to evaluate their learning principles or styles and self-discipline. These findings confirm that the student exchange program is effective in fostering cross-cultural academic readiness and can serve as a foundation for developing more adaptive and systematic policies for similar programs in the future.Program pertukaran mahasiswa antara Fakultas Studi Islam Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (UMSIDA) dan Universitas Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan dalam mengembangkan kompetensi akademik dan linguistik mahasiswa dalam konteks pembelajaran lintas budaya. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bentuk-bentuk shock budaya yang dialami mahasiswa, strategi adaptasi mereka, dan implikasi bagi perkembangan akademik dalam Studi Ma’ani. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan perspektif fenomenologis, dan teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa mengalami kejutan budaya terkait penggunaan bahasa yang beragam, metode pengajaran, masalah konektivitas, dan dinamika kelas. Strategi adaptasi meliputi diskusi kelompok, bimbingan antar teman, penggunaan teknologi pembelajaran, dan dukungan institusional. Strategi-strategi ini memfasilitasi penyesuaian mahasiswa sambil meningkatkan kesadaran metakognitif, kemahiran bahasa, dan motivasi belajar. Proses adaptasi ini memiliki implikasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran metakognitif mahasiswa, menghidupkan kembali kompetensi bahasa (Imu Ma'ani), meningkatkan motivasi intrinsik dalam belajar, dan mendorong mahasiswa untuk mengevaluasi prinsip atau gaya belajar mereka serta disiplin diri. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa program pertukaran pelajar efektif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan akademik lintas budaya dan dapat menjadi landasan untuk mengembangkan kebijakan yang lebih adaptif dan sistematis untuk program serupa di masa depan.

Abstract

Mufradat or vocabulary is the basic thing that needs to be mastered in learning Arabic. Many students have difficulty understanding Arabic because of the low Mufradat mastered. To improve the mastery of Mufradat, researchers are interested in applying one of the learning media in the form of Flashcards and to determine the effectiveness of using Flashcards as an effort to increase Mufradat in MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Taman. This study uses quantitative research with experimental methods, using Pre-Experimental Design in the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Collecting data in this study using the methods of observation, interviews, tests and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the application of Flashcard media in learning is carried out by demonstration and quiz methods. After demonstrating the Flashcard, the teacher does individual and group quizzes. This is evidenced by the results of the t-test analysis where tcount 11,585 > ttable 2.052 means that H1 is accepted.

Abstract

Language is a communicative phenomenon in a social context so that the ability to speak Arabic is no longer a complement but a vital requirement that must be mastered by prospective haj and umrah pilgrims. Therefore, the focus of research conducted by researchers is on user response to the design of a traveling-based communicative Arabic language e-book for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims at KBIH Jabal Nur Sidoarjo. This study used a descriptive qualitative method approach with data collection techniques including observation, documentation, and questionnaires and data analysis techniques with Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model. The results showed a percentage of 90.8%, meaning that most of the congregation stated that the traveling-based communicative Arabic ebook included a new design typology that could be used as a guide in communicating practical Arabic in Saudi Arabia. Highlights: Vital Language Skill: Proficiency in Arabic becomes essential for Hajj and Umrah pilgrims due to the communicative nature of these journeys. Innovative Design: The study focuses on a new design typology for a traveling-based communicative Arabic e-book. Positive Reception: Research findings reveal a 90.8% approval rate among participants, indicating the effectiveness of the e-book for practical Arabic communication in Saudi Arabia. Abstract

General Background: Digital citizenship—encompassing safe, responsible technology use, critical media literacy, and ethical engagement—is increasingly vital in today’s educational landscape. Specific Background: Strategic leadership, defined by vision, innovation, and adaptability, plays a pivotal role in guiding schools through digital transformation. Knowledge Gap: However, existing scholarship has yet to integrate leadership practices with a coherent framework for cultivating digital citizenship in K–12 settings. Aims: This study employs a literature review to synthesize relevant research and construct a comprehensive model linking strategic leadership behaviors to digital competency development. Results: Analysis reveals that effective leaders articulate long-term digital visions, align institutional strategies with technological goals, foster collaborative innovation, and model ethical online conduct, thereby facilitating responsible student engagement. Novelty: The resulting framework uniquely maps leadership dimensions—visioning, strategy alignment, culture building—to specific digital citizenship outcomes. Implications: Policymakers and practitioners can leverage these insights to design leadership development programs and institutional policies that empower students as competent, ethical digital citizens in the twenty-first-century learning environment.
