Abstract

Kegiatan sosialisasi yang berjudul “Sosialisasi Pemanfaatan Cangkang Telur Sebagai Pengganti Semen Untuk Membuat Beton Ramah Lingkungan” bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi dan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat Desa Naga Saribu Kecamatan Padang Bolak Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara tentang pemanfaatan cangkang telur sebagai pengganti semen untuk membuat beton ramah lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah/presentasi dan tanya jawab. Selain itu, para peserta sosialisasi harus mengisi angket yang diberikan panitia sebelum dan sesudah sosialisasi. Hasil pengisian angket/kuisioner yang dilakukan oleh peserta menunjukkan bahwa 9 peserta (45%) memberikan penilaian terhadap pelaksanaan acara dengan kategori sangat baik, 12 peserta (60%) memberikan penilaian terhadap narasumber dengan kategori sangat menguasai materi, 10 peserta (50%) memberikan penilaian terhadap materi yang disampaikan narasumber dengan kategori sangat bermanfaat dan 11 peserta (55%) memberikan penilaian terhadap ketertarikan pemanfaatan cangkang telur sebagai pengganti semen dalam pembuatan beton dengan kategori sangat tertarik. Dengan demikian, sosialisasi yang dilaksanakan diterima dengan baik oleh para peserta sebagai wujud partisipasi dan antusiasme mereka dalam mendukung kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di Desa Naga Saribu Kecamatan Padang Bolak Kabupaten Padang Lawas Utara. Berdasarkan hasil monitoring yang dilakukan setelah acara selesai, maka perlu rencana tindak lanjut berupa pelatihan pembuatan beton dengan campuran serbuk cangkang telur untuk menambah mutu bahan konstruksi.

Abstract

The problems faced by teachers and students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak related to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) are social problems, namely the lack of knowledge and skills in applying artificial intelligence (AI) in learning and management problems, namely the lack of school facilities in the form of digital computers that apply artificial intelligence (AI). The method used to overcome these two problems is the socialization method. The aim is to improve the knowledge and skills of teachers and students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in the teaching and learning process. The results of the activity show that artificial intelligence (AI) technology has a significant influence on increasing knowledge and skills in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) for learning needs. The increase in knowledge and skills of teachers of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in learning was 51.22%. Meanwhile, the increase in knowledge and skills of students of SMA Negeri 1 Padang Bolak in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in learning was 37.17%.

Abstract

Stock investment is increasingly in demand by investors because of its high profit potential, but predicting stock price movements is still difficult due to its volatile nature. The Geometric Brownian Motion Model (GBM) is commonly used for this purpose, as it captures the stochastic dynamics of stock prices, assuming a normal log-return distribution and constant volatility. However, prediction accuracy decreases over time due to the dynamic nature of the stock market. To improve prediction accuracy, the Kalman Filter is used to iteratively adjust parameters in the GBM model, resulting in a more flexible and accurate forecasting approach. Research by Maulidya et al. revealed that the combination of GBM and Kalman Filter produced a low Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) of 0.0674%, indicating high prediction accuracy. This study aims to develop a stock price prediction model for PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) using GBM modified with the Kalman Filter, resulting in a model that is more representative and adaptive to market changes. The methodology includes data collection, return calculation, parameter estimation, and model construction, with the results showing a MAPE of 6.8%, outperforming the traditional GBM model. The study concludes that the modified GBM-KF model is effective for short-term prediction, highlighting its ability to adapt to market fluctuations despite challenges posed by non-linearity and extreme market conditions.

Abstract

The study aims to validate the textbook of Human Anatomy and Physiology. The validation conducted leads to the analysis of the textbook on scientific literacy, namely to determine the scope of scientific literacy in the textbook. This study is a descriptive study that aims to explain the validation results. This module was validated by three validators. There are four components that validated, namely content validity consisting of module components and the suitability of module content, construct validity, language validity, and suitability with learning that uses conceptual changes. The results of the validation of human anatomy and physiology materials for semester VI Biology students at Medan State University found that the standards for human anatomy and physiology teaching materials based on scientific literacy have met the Very Good category with a percentage score and an average number of feasibility: Content feasibility is 88.67, presentation feasibility 93%, feasibility of scientific literacy components 93%. The results of the study concluded three textbooks used in university emphasize more on the presentation of facts, concepts, principles, laws, theories and models and emphasize that students can remember information through questions.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dihadapi masyarakat Kelurahan Sihitang Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Selatan dalam membudidayakan ikan lele adalah modal pakan yang lebih besar. Sehingga mereka berpikir untuk melakukan dan menciptakan inovasi agar perekonomian dapat terus berlanjut. Salah satu olahan ikan lele adalah abon ikan lele. Abon ikan lele merupakan produk olahan ikan lele yang melewati beberapa proses seperti penggilingan, pemberian bumbu, dan penggorengan. Pengolahan ikan lele menjadi abon menjadi salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomisnya dan juga untuk mencegah terjadinya pembusukan ikan ketika over produksi. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan ini adalah untuk menambah pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat Kelurahan Sihitang Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Selatan khususnya pembudidaya ikan lele dalam mengolah ikan lele menjadi produk abon guna meningkatkan pendapatan mereka. Metode yang digunakan untuk melaksanakan kegiatan ini adalah sosialisasi, demonstrasi, pemasaran dan monitoring. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan ini memberikan kontribusi dan nilai sosial yang baik. Melalui kegiatan ini, usaha pengolahan ikan lele menjadi abon telah menjadi usaha sampingan masyarakat Kelurahan Sihitang Kecamatan Padangsidimpuan Selatan. Kegiatan ini memiliki dampak yang besar pada peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pendapatan masyarakat dalam mengolah ikan lele menjadi abon.

Abstract

Crime data in North Sumatra Province obtained from the Central Statistics Agency shows an upward trend, peaking in 2023. This condition presents an urgent need for swift and appropriate policy intervention. The effectiveness of such policies is measured by their ability to significantly reduce crime rates. This study aims to forecast the trend of criminal acts in North Sumatra for the period 2024–2028 using the Monte Carlo Simulation method, based on historical data from 2000 to 2023. The stochastic simulation approach was chosen to accommodate the uncertainty and variability inherent in crime data. The results provide probabilistic predictions that can serve as a reference for the government in designing more adaptive and responsive crime prevention policies. This model is expected to offer realistic estimates of potential increases or decreases in crime, thereby enabling more targeted and data-driven decisions. Overall, the findings of this study contribute to the development of strategic, risk-based security policies that reflect the dynamic nature of criminal activity.

Abstract

This service aims to mitigate soft storeys on the resilience of school buildings in South Tapanuli Regency. This socialization activity was held at the South Tapanuli Regency Education Office. The targets of this activity were the Principal and representatives of the Education Office and BPBD with a total of 30 participants. The steps for implementing this service began with presenting material about the Earthquake in South Tapanuli and Soft Storeys. Continued with a Workshop/Practice discussing Soft Storey Identification using the layout of each school building. At the end of the activity, finding solutions/discussions related to the policy of Integrating soft storey mitigation in school budget planning

Abstract

Abstract. Coffee is one of the leading commodities in Indonesia, especially in the Sumatra Island region. The provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, and Lampung are the main centers of coffee production, both Arabica and Robusta types. In addition to being the main source of income for farmers, coffee also plays an important role in supporting the country's foreign exchange. However, coffee production in the region still faces various challenges, such as climate fluctuations, erratic rainfall, pest attacks, and variations in cultivation techniques that cause instability in harvest yields from year to year. This study aims to predict coffee harvest yields during the period 2024 to 2028 using the Markov Chain model. This model is used to describe the shift in production distribution between provinces based on the transition probability from previous conditions. The data used are secondary data on coffee harvests from 2018 to 2023. The analysis was carried out by compiling a transition matrix, calculating the probability distribution for each year, and estimating the harvest yield quantitatively. The prediction results show a relatively stable annual production of around 538 thousand tons. The Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) value of 9.93% indicates a fairly good level of model accuracy. In addition, steady state conditions are estimated to be achieved in 2030. This study contributes to efforts to formulate adaptive and sustainable coffee distribution and production planning policies in Sumatra. Abstrak. Kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan di Indonesia, khususnya di wilayah Pulau Sumatera. Provinsi Aceh, Sumatera Utara, Sumatera Barat, Sumatera Selatan, Bengkulu, dan Lampung menjadi sentra utama produksi kopi, baik jenis Arabika maupun Robusta. Selain menjadi sumber utama pendapatan petani, kopi juga berperan penting dalam menopang devisa negara. Namun, produksi kopi di wilayah tersebut masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti fluktuasi iklim, curah hujan yang tidak menentu, serangan hama, dan variasi teknik budidaya yang menyebabkan ketidakstabilan hasil panen dari tahun ke tahun. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memprediksi hasil panen kopi selama periode 2024 hingga 2028 dengan menggunakan model Rantai Markov. Model ini digunakan untuk menggambarkan peralihan distribusi produksi antar provinsi berdasarkan probabilitas transisi dari kondisi sebelumnya. Data yang digunakan merupakan data sekunder hasil panen kopi dari tahun 2018 hingga 2023. Analisis dilakukan dengan menyusun matriks transisi, menghitung distribusi probabilitas tiap tahun, serta memperkirakan hasil panen secara kuantitatif. Hasil prediksi menunjukkan produksi tahunan yang relatif stabil, sekitar 538 ribu ton. Nilai Mean Absolute Percentage Error (MAPE) sebesar 9,93% menunjukkan tingkat akurasi model yang cukup baik. Selain itu, kondisi steady state diperkirakan tercapai pada tahun 2030. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi dalam upaya penyusunan kebijakan distribusi dan perencanaan produksi kopi yang adaptif dan berkelanjutan di Sumatera.

Abstract

Excessive use of cement in construction projects can result in air pollution which can trigger health problems. For this reason, innovation is needed by using environmentally friendly organic materials such as sugarcane bagasse waste as a partial substitute for cement to make environmentally friendly concrete. The use of sugarcane bagasse waste as a partial substitute for cement can prevent environmental pollution due to dust produced by cement. This research aims to make maximum use of sugarcane bagasse waste as a concrete mixture. The method used in this research is an experimental method through the preparation stage, aggregate inspection, job mix design, slump test, making test objects, caring for test objects, testing concrete volume weight and testing concrete compressive strength. The sugarcane bagasse powder used is 0% composition; 2.5%; 5%; 7.5% and 10%. Based on the research results obtained, it can be concluded that the average concrete compressive strength values at variations of 0%; 2.5%; 5%; 7.5% and 10% are 24.08 MPa; 21.98 MPa; 17.67 MPa; 14.54 MPa and 11.66 MPa, respectively. Sugarcane bagasse powder can be used to make environmentally friendly concrete or as a partial replacement for cement. In order to make optimally environmentally friendly concrete, it is recommended that cement be mixed with 2.5% sugarcane bagasse powder.

Abstract

Weather is the state of the air (about temperature, sunlight, humidity, wind speed, and so on) in a certain place with a limited period of time (KBBI). Daily weather forecasting holds significant importance in daily activities, especially in helping people and various industrial sectors adapt their activities to upcoming weather conditions. The objective of this research is to apply the Markov Chain model in daily weather forecasting in Deli Serdang. This study uses daily weather data in Deli Serdang district from March 1, 2025 to April 30, 2025. The data was sourced from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG). The research variables used are weather conditions, namely, sunny , cloudy , light rain , and rain Weather predictions for the next seven days can be carried out gradually by taking into account previous weather conditions. The results of the forecasting obtained show that the chances of each weather condition occurring in the following days can be clearly mapped, thus providing a more realistic probabilistic picture than conventional deterministic methods.
