Abstract

This research investigates the impact of tourist attractions, destination image, and facilities on visiting decisions at the Great Mosque of Central Java, with electronic word of mouth (eWOM) serving as a mediating variable. The study employs a quantitative approach, using questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents to collect data. The findings reveal that tourist attractions have a significant effect on visiting decisions, indicating that attractive features of the site strongly influence people's choices to visit. However, the destination image does not significantly affect visit decisions, suggesting that the public perception of the overall location may not play a crucial role in influencing visits. Similarly, facilities do not have a significant impact on visit decisions, indicating that infrastructure and amenities alone are not decisive factors for tourists. eWOM is found to significantly influence visit decisions, suggesting that online reviews and recommendations strongly affect tourists' decisions. Additionally, tourist attractions are found to significantly influence eWOM, meaning that the attractiveness of the location encourages online discussions and recommendations. On the other hand, destination image does not significantly affect eWOM, indicating that general perceptions of the destination do not directly influence online word of mouth. Facilities, however, have a significant impact on eWOM, highlighting the importance of amenities in generating online discussions. eWOM is shown to mediate the relationship between tourist attractions and visiting decisions, as well as between facilities and visit decisions. However, eWOM does not mediate the effect of destination image on visit decisions.

Abstract

The tempeh-making business is a small business that is crucial to the rural economy. However, this business faces various challenges, both economic and environmental. This study aims to understand how the tempeh business can continue to operate in Tersono Village, Batang Regency. This study examines the challenges faced, the strategies used, and the factors influencing the business's continued operation. The research method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through interviews with business owners, direct field observations, and document collection. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research results indicate that the main challenges facing the tempeh business in Tersono Village are fluctuating soybean prices, which increase production costs, competition between businesses, limited labor availability, and the impact of water quality and weather on the fermentation process. To survive, businesses maintain product quality by selecting quality ingredients and adapting production methods to weather conditions. The factors most influencing the sustainability of the tempeh business are soybean prices, the skills and experience of the business owners, customer satisfaction, and environmental conditions. The sustainability of the tempeh business in Tersono Village is a socio-economic phenomenon that demonstrates the ability of small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt and survive in the face of business and environmental dynamics.

Abstract

The Work from Anywhere & Anytime (WFAA) framework frequently offers a deceptive sense of autonomy for Generation Z affiliate marketers, who essentially face complex psychological constraints. This study investigates how the lack of tangible spatial and temporal boundaries facilitates self-exploitation in response to dynamic digital algorithms. Utilizing the Control Theory framework through a qualitative case study, the research reveals that absolute professional autonomy paradoxically acts as a catalyst for prolonged productivity anxiety. The findings identify two primary individual defense pillars: behavioral engineering via physical digital disconnection and cognitive restructuring to recalibrate the perception of rest urgency. This study concludes that psychological well-being literacy maintains an urgency equivalent to digital proficiency in securing the long-term professional existence of affiliate marketers. Within this paradigm, digital platforms have evolved beyond mere income-generating instruments into hybrid ecosystems: a productivity arena that functions simultaneously as a medium for emotional catharsis for its actors.

Abstract

MSMEs are an important sector in the local economy, including in the city of Semarang, particularly in the ready to drink beverage business, which is facing fierce competition and market trends. These conditions require MSMEs to have survival strategies in order to continue operating their businesses. This study aims to determine the survival strategies implemented by jumbo iced tea MSMEs and the factors that influence business resilience and customer loyalty. This study uses a qualitative approach with the Grounded Theory method. Data collection was conducted through in depth interviews and direct observation with business owners. The results of this study indicate that the resilience of jumbo iced tea MSMEs is influenced by consistent product quality, affordable and stable pricing, friendly service, and the ability of business owners to adapt to market conditions. In addition, the religious values held by business owners can play a role in shaping business resilience and calmness in making business decisions. These strategies are able to maintain customer trust and loyalty, so that the business continues to run and survive amid increasingly fierce competition. This study is expected to be a reference for other MSME entrepreneurs in designing sustainable business resilience strategies

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategy transition undertaken by Starling Coffee vendors to sustain their businesses following reprimands or enforcement actions by the Municipal Police (Satpol PP). Using a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and observations involving vendors and Satpol PP officers in Semarang City, the research is examined through the lens of Pierre Bourdieu’s theory of Field, Capital, and Habitus. The findings reveal that vendors develop practical adaptation mechanisms, such as selecting “safe” locations based on real-time information and social networks, as well as cooperative communication with authorities. A vigilance habitus formed from enforcement experiences drives agile strategies to mitigate conflict risks and maintain customer loyalty. In conclusion, the sustainability of Starling Coffee businesses is supported by holistic adaptation capabilities that integrate social, cultural, and symbolic aspects in responding to regulatory pressures and market competition.

The location in front of the PGRI Semarang University campus provides a relatively stable flow of customers, especially among students, thus supporting the business's long-term sustainability. This confirms that location decisions are not merely technical factors but part of a competitive strategy that determines the competitiveness of street
