Abstract

This research aims to determine the preferences that influence the decision of culinary SMEs in Pekanbaru City in processing halal certification online. Preference measurement is based on factors that influence individual perceptions in making decisions, namely ease, trust, benefits, and risk. The data collection method is a questionnaire with a Likert scale and data processing using binary logistic regression (logit regression). Based on data collection and analysis from 78 of culinary SMEs, the results showed that simultaneously all perception variables influenced culinary SMEs decisions to obtain halal certificates online. As for the individual test results, it showed that three perception factors, namely ease (X1), benefits (X3), and risk (X4) had a significant effect on culinary SMEs preferences for processing online halal certificates, while perceptions of trust (X2) had no significant effect. This is in accordance with the odds ratio value for each influential variable, namely 3.910 times, 2.593 times and 5.510 times for each variable. Perception of usefulness is the strongest factor influencing the decision of culinary SMEs in Pekanbaru City to process halal certification online.

Abstract

212 Mart Pekanbaru is one of the sharia retail businesses whose presence is expected to be able to provide a comfortable modern shopping place for Muslim consumers, especially in the city of Pekanbaru. Its relatively new presence causes it to not be able to compete and seize the existing market. Consumers themselves have several considerations in choosing a place to shop or become loyal consumers by joining as a member at a Mart. These reasons and considerations are important to analyze as input for Mart managers in managing their retail. By using Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) as a theoretical basis, this research uses five independent variables namely income, attitude, subjective norms, individual control, and religiosity to see the main factors that influence consumer decisions to become members of 212 Mart. The analysis technique used in this study is logistic regression analysis with 100 consumers at 212 Mart Pekanbaru as respondents. The results showed that only the subjective norm variable had a significant effect on the Muslim consumer's decision to become a member of 212 Mart. The income, attitude, individual control, and religiosity variables have no significant effect.

Abstract

Poverty issues have always been in the world spotlight. Monetary poverty measurements are considered only to be able to capture a small part of the various poverty issues, so measurements involving multidimensions are needed. This study attempts to measure poverty based on multiple levels of deprivation experienced by people in Riau Province. This study uses aspects of health, education, and standard of living. The results of the study show that all indicators simultaneously have a significant impact on monetary poverty. These indicators are calorie and protein consumption, length of schooling, school sustainability, and housing-related indicators. In addition, differences were also found in the picture of poverty measured only by considering monetary aspects and poverty measured using multidimensional aspects.

Abstract

Expensive land in urban centers encourages workers to migrate to the suburbs, creating worker mobility that increases energy consumption and worsens environmental quality. Therefore, understanding the relationship between worker mobility and energy consumption is crucial. This study evaluates the impact of worker mobility categorized as commuter and circular on energy consumption in Indonesia. We used the Extended Stochastic Impacts by Regression on Population, Affluence, and Technology (STIRPAT) model with instrumental variables (IV) on panel data from 33 provinces during the 2013–2018 period. The results show that commuter workers do not significantly affect total energy and fuel consumption, but significantly increase electricity consumption. Conversely, circular workers contribute significantly to increased total energy, fuel, and electricity consumption. Other impacts include decreased health and disruption to social life, despite the economic benefits. This study contributes to the literature on labor and energy in developing countries, particularly regarding the aspect of non-permanent workers. These findings are also relevant as a basis for formulating sustainable development policies that consider economic, social, and environmental aspects in a balanced manner.

Abstract

The problem of poverty in countries with a Muslim majority can be overcome by optimizing the utilization of zakat. One form of zakat that has great potential to be optimized is income zakat or professional zakat.  According to the Pekanbaru Baznas, the potential for zakat could reach Rp90 billion. The method of data analysis in this study is to use a binary logistic regression model. This method was chosen because it is a standard analytical method when the outcome variable is dichotomous and is measured with a value of 1 or 0, where 1 = decision to pay professional zakat and 0 = decision not to pay professional zakat. The results of this study are the income variable has a positive and significant effect on Muzakki's decision to pay professional zakat in Pekanbaru City, which is 35.6%. However, the role of the government and the role of the ulama have no significant effect on Muzakki's decision to pay professional zakat in Pekanbaru City. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the variables of income, the role of the government, and the role of the ulama together have a significant effect, but partially the role of the government and the role of the ulama have no significant effect on Muzakki's decision to pay professional zakat in Pekanbaru City. Thus, in making a decision to pay professional zakat

Abstract

Many of the MSME actors in the food industry and businesses that have been impacted by the COVID-19 epidemic are still very small businesses with very basic financing, product production, marketing, and product standardization capabilities.. Based on the identification of the problems faced by MSME actors, it is known that product packaging has not been designed properly, as well as the need to maintain and develop its business to be more advanced in order to develop its business activities properly, and be able to increase MSME income, so steps and strategies are needed for business development. based on the conditions and problems encountered. The method of application carried out in this service was mentoring MSMEs who are members of the Riau Food Association organization that persist in carrying out business activities during this pandemic in branding and packaging as well as digital/online marketing of products to improve product quality. Abstract

Stunting is still a big problem in Indonesia, including Riau Province. One way to prevent stunting is to improve nutrition by eating healthy and nutrient-rich foods such as vegetables. The purpose of this service is to provide information and knowledge to the public about stunting so that people are more aware of the dangers of stunting, and can increase the skills of the community, especially mothers, to be able to process vegetables into food that is attractive to children. The method used in this activity is to provide information to the public about stunting reduction and recipes for processing vegetable nuggets in the form of posters and provide training in making vegetable nuggets through educational videos on YouTube. The target in this study were mothers who had babies and toddlers in Tanjung Rhu Village, Limapuluh District, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province, namely 30 people. The results that have been achieved from this activity are increasing the knowledge and skills of mothers in making vegetable nuggets up to 95%. With this activity, parents who have toddlers gain new skills in modifying healthy food into attractive food for children so that children no longer refuse to eat nutritious food.
