Abstract

Variations in ship propulsion are needed to assist in the water transportation purposes that will be used. Waterjet becomes one of the efforts for variations of the ship propulsion system on the waterjet occurs because the action of the thrust force that occurs causes the ship to move at a certain speed and the reaction of the fluid. The use of 3D Printing is starting to be developed and researched whether it is feasible to use in water transportation. 3D Printing technology or known as Additive layer manufacturing and the famous technology is Fused Deposition Modeling this technique is used to print products using filaments as material, the printed product has ideal geometry if it has a precise size and perfect shape. The testing process carried out at the Bangka Belitung state manufacturing polytechnic obtained the highest thrust results 30˚ angle with the number of blades 5 has the highest value with a thrust of 206 N and the lowest 45˚ 5 blade with 135 N thrust, the difference in angle affects the thrust generated.

Abstract

The automatic threading system (half‑nut lever) on the DoALL LT‑13 lathe at Polman Babel's mechanical workshop failed to operate, disabling thread-cutting capability. This research aimed to document the repair process and post-repair functionality tests. The methods included 5 Why analysis, apron disassembly, cleaning, gear-idler clearance adjustment, gear surface lapping, and re-calibration of the half‑nut lever. Tests included functional check, dimensional accuracy, and thread cutting on three specimens: M27×3, M20×2.5, and M18×2.5. Results showed normal operation and all threads met ISO tolerance. The lathe is now functional for educational and light machining purposes.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology demands innovations that can improve efficiency in terms of time, labor, and cost. Manual rice separation remains a challenge for farmers as it requires significant time and effort. A rice separator machine is an agricultural tool designed to mechanically separate rice from its stalks, replacing traditional methods such as beating (gebotan) or trampling. In Riau Silip District, Bangka Belitung, the total rice field area reached 190 hectares in 2024, with a rice production of approximately 75,644 tons. With such a harvest volume, the machines currently available in the village are unable to separate the rice from the stalks optimally due to insufficient engine power, which often causes jamming and reduced torque. Therefore, we propose replacing the engine with a 11 HP motor to increase torque and separation speed. As a result, the rice stalk separator machine will have a capacity of 20 kg/hour in accordance with the desired specifications, enabling farmers to overcome obstacles and maintain the stability of their harvest yields.

Abstract

The pineapple juice extractor machine is used for the process of pressing pineapples to produce juice while separating the pulp. The currently available machines generally use electric motors with a power of 0.35 HP. However, with that motor power, the existing machines are not able to press pineapples optimally, as the electric motor tends to lose power during operation. Therefore, this research focuses on calculating the appropriate motor power to be used in a pineapple juice extractor machine with a capacity of 5 kg/hour. The method applied involves calculating several parameters, including load, capacity, torque, and motor power. This is intended to ensure that the motor used is truly capable of accommodating the desired machine capacity. Based on the calculations performed, the most suitable electric motor for a pineapple juice extractor machine with a 5 kg/hour capacity is one witch a power rating of 0.5 HP.

Abstract

Repair the braking system on the DoAll Lt 13 no 4 lathe In completing the final project entitled Repair of the Cooling System and Braking System on the Doall Lt13 Lathe at the Bangka Belitung State Manufacturing Polytechnic, stages of adjustment are made to the flowchart diagram. Problem identification is a crucial stage because if the problem is not identified correctly, the solution applied may not be effective or may even worsen the situation, accurate and in-depth identification also helps ensure that the solution developed will be relevant and effective. In the data collection action there are several methods used to find out the problems and damage that occur in the DoAll LT 13 lathe. The methods used are the technician interview method, looking at the manual book, looking at the machine history book and conducting direct observation on the machine. The following is the initial data from several methods carried out Based on the results of the DoAll LT13 Lathe Brake System repair function test using a clutch motor braking system, the braking system was successfully repaired, and was able to work well and was able to brake. And for the repair of the cooling system on the DoAll Lt 13 no 4 lathe, it was also successfully repaired and obtained optimal results for all components that were repaired.

Abstract

Animal feed is an important factor that must be considered to increase the productivity of providing green fodder both in quality and quantity, where in the provision of cattle feed is still done manually using hands with the help of machetes and sickles to chop the feed, especially for cattle breeders of the Puding Jaya II Farmer Group in Puding Village, Merawang District, Bangka Regency. The purpose of this study is to assist in the processing of livestock feed conventionally or manually by designing a chopping machine so that it can make its own cemboran and chopped feed using available materials such as special grass leaves for cattle feed or oil palm leaves so that they are easy for cattle to chew. The method used starts from designing a chopping machine that can be used as a chopping tool for raw materials for livestock feed in the form of odot plants, Indigofera, Chinese petai, jackfruit leaves, elephant grass, palm fronds and leaves which are favorite green fodder for cattle so that it is expected to lighten the burden and make it easier for cattle breeders to get livestock feed that is ready to be eaten by cattle. in an effort to increase livestock feed production can increase as expected to reach 200-300 percent.

Abstract

3D Printing, commonly referred to as Additive Manufacturing, has facilitated rapid advancements and brought significant changes to the manufacturing industry, particularly in revolutionizing production processes. This technology is extensively employed for rapid prototyping, allowing the creation of designs that are both visually perceptible and physically tangible, with actual volume. This research aims to examine the tensile strength of PLA+ filament under various parameter settings and assess their impact using the Taguchi method. The experiments were performed using an FDM Creality Ender 3 Pro 3D printer, which features a printing area of 220mm x 220mm x 250mm and a 0.4 mm nozzle diameter. The parameters investigated include Nozzle Temperature (220°C, 230°C, 240°C), Bed Temperature (65°C, 70°C, 75°C), and Layer Thickness (0.10mm, 0.15mm, 0.20mm). The findings revealed that the optimal tensile strength was achieved in the first trial, with a Nozzle Temperature of 220°C, Bed Temperature of 65°C, and Layer Thickness of 0.10mm, yielding an average tensile strength of 22 MPa across three replications.
