Abstract

This study discusses Strengthening Religious Moderation through Study Tolerance in the Embonatana Village Community, Seko District. This study aims to explain how the attitude of religious moderation and tolerance, how to strengthen religious moderation through an attitude of tolerance, what are the obstacles and solutions in strengthening religious moderation through an attitude of tolerance in the Embonatana Village community. In this study using a type of qualitative research with the stages of preparation, namely: the preparation stage, the data collection stage in the form of observation, interviews and documentation, the data processing stage which involves classifying data and compiling research results which are then described as a research report. The results of the study show that the practice of religious moderation in the Embonatana Village community has been carried out for a long time. Religious moderation practiced by the community is not entirely based on religious understanding, but is more dominated by kinship ties. Strengthening religious moderation through an attitude of tolerance is carried out through religious coaching, increasing cooperation, maintaining Sallombengang, strengthening customary law, and maintaining family ties. As for the obstacles faced are the lack of public understanding of religious teachings and tolerance, lack of public compliance with rules such as customary rules, differences in society, and increasingly tenuous family ties.

Abstract

Numeracy skills are one of the essential competencies that students must possess to face the challenges of 21st-century learning. However, students' numeracy skills remain relatively low due to conventional teaching practices, limited student engagement in the learning process, and the lack of interactive learning media. These conditions result in low learning motivation, limited participation, and difficulties in solving numeracy problems related to real-life situations. This study aims to develop gamification-based interactive learning media integrated with the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model to improve the numeracy skills of seventh-grade students at MTs Az-Zainuddin. The study employed the Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were 20 seventh-grade students of MTs Az-Zainuddin. The research instruments included expert validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and numeracy tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to determine the validity and practicality of the developed media, while the N-Gain test was used to measure its effectiveness in improving students’ numeracy skills. The product developed is a gamification-based digital learning medium that incorporates numeracy materials, points, levels, challenges, feedback, and project activities aligned with the syntax of Project Based Learning. The results are expected to demonstrate that the developed media is valid, practical, and effective, making it a promising alternative for innovative numeracy learning in the digital era.

Abstract

The implementation of the Qur'an memorization program at Al-Mukarramul Junaidiyah Islamic Middle School, Batu Putih, East Luwu has been running as a flagship program, but still faces obstacles in fostering students' memorization. The study aims to analyze the factors that hinder the implementation of the Qur’an memorization program across three aspects: program planning and management, Qur’an teacher competence, and memorization learning methods. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and document review. The data sources include the principal, the tahfiz coordinator, tahfiz teachers, students, and supporting documents. Data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model, which involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions as well as verification. The research results show that obstacles in the planning and management aspect include less than optimal mapping of student needs, scheduling, division of halaqah, availability of learning spaces, teacher-student ratios, and follow-up evaluation. In terms of teacher competence, the obstacles are seen from the limited number of teachers, workload, and uneven individual mentoring. In the learning method aspect, obstacles include differences in student abilities, limited review time, and weak memorization control
