Abstract

This study aims to develop Siderman media (human circulatory system) in class V elementary school science learning. Because there are still many students whose grades are below the KKM or there are still many students who do not understand science lessons, especially the material for the human circulatory system, several problems are found such as a lack of student motivation in learning, student emotions are less controlled so the learning process is not conducive. In addition to these problems, the method used by the teacher when teaching is the lecture method and students study with textbooks only so that students feel bored and bored and as a result students are more engrossed in their own world, for example playing alone or even chatting with their classmates resulting in low student learning outcomes. under KKM, especially material for the circulatory system for class V science subjects. Therefore the researchers developed the SIDERMAN media (Human Circulatory System) with the subject matter of the human circulatory system in natural sciences. This learning media aims to increase students' knowledge about the human circulatory system material in science class V so that this media is packaged attractively and is easy to use. Siderman media in science subjects is structured in an interesting way so that it is very suitable to be applied to science subjects, especially the human circulatory system for class V SD.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis konsep pembelajaran tematik terpadu pada Kurikulum Merdeka di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nuris 02 Karanganom. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana penerapan pembelajaran tematik terpadu sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka. Subjek penelitian meliputi guru dan peserta didik di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nuris 02 Karanganom. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket dan lembar observasi untuk menilai pemahaman dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik terpadu. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis secara manual dengan menghitung rata-rata skor dan menafsirkan hasilnya berdasarkan kategori penilaian agar mudah dipahami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran tematik terpadu pada Kurikulum Merdeka di madrasah tersebut tergolong baik, meskipun masih ditemukan kendala dalam pengintegrasian antarmuatan pelajaran dan pengelolaan waktu belajar. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran tematik terpadu pada Kurikulum Merdeka di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Nuris 02 Karanganom telah terlaksana dengan cukup efektif, namun masih memerlukan peningkatan dalam aspek perencanaan dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran.

Abstract

 This study aims to describe the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in fostering critical thinking skills among third-grade elementary school students on the topic of metamorphosis. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a descriptive study design. The research subjects consisted of 29 male students from Grade III of SD Aulia Cendikia Islamic School. Data were collected through direct observation, documentation, interviews, and student reflections. Data analysis utilized Miles and Huberman’s interactive analysis model, which includes three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. In the data display stage, the findings were presented in the form of descriptive narratives, tables, and direct quotations from students or teachers. Meanwhile, the conclusion drawing stage was conducted by examining the relationship between the implementation of the PBL model and the emergence of students’ critical thinking responses during the learning process. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the PBL model positively influenced the development of students’ critical thinking skills. This can be seen from the students’ ability to identify, analyze, and find solutions to the given problems. The model also successfully enhanced students’ understanding of the learning material. Therefore, PBL proved to be an effective approach in shaping active, independent, and critical-thinking students.

Abstract

Interactive learning media play an essential role in facilitating effective communication between teachers and students. This study aims to improve students’ science learning outcomes on the topic of invertebrate animals through the use of lapbook learning media in Grade IV at MI Al Barokah An-Nur. The method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting stages conducted over two cycles. The research subjects were 20 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations of student activities, and documentation in the form of photos and field notes. Data were analyzed quantitatively by calculating the average scores and mastery learning percentages, and qualitatively through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed a significant improvement across cycles. The average score increased from 63 in the pre-cycle to 75 in Cycle I and 83 in Cycle II. The mastery learning percentage also increased from 70% in Cycle I to 85% in Cycle II. Moreover, all student groups demonstrated active collaboration and engagement during the lapbook creation and presentation activities. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of lapbook media is effective in enhancing science learning outcomes, student participation, and learning experiences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan cara Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang terbagi menjadi dua bagian. Setiap bagian terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Target yang diteliti adalah 20 siswa kelas IV di MI Al-Barokah Tanggul, dengan terdiri dari 10 siswa laki-laki dan 10 siswa perempuan. Data dikumpulkan melalui cara pengamatan, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan penilaian hasil belajar siswa. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yakni dengan mengurangi, menyajikan, dan menarik kesimpulan serta kuantitatif deskriptif dengan cara menghitung rata-rata nilai siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menggunakan lingkungan sekitar untuk belajar IPA dapat membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Ini terlihat dari peningkatan rata-rata nilai siswa dari tahap pertama ke tahap kedua, ditambah dengan meningkatnya aktifitas, semangat, dan sikap positif terhadap pembelajaran IPA. Siswa menjadi lebih sering bertanya, memperhatikan, dan berdiskusi, sedangkan guru merasakan suasana belajar menjadi lebih menyenangkan dan relevan. Maka, penggunaan lingkungan sekitar terbukti efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan ilmiah siswa kelas IV di MI Al-Barokah Tanggul.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Environmental degradation that continues to expand at both local and global levels requires elementary education institutions to cultivate ecological awareness from an early age. However, science learning in madrasah remains largely theoretical, which limits students’ ability to understand and practice environmentally responsible behavior. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Biology-based Project Based Learning (PjBL) in science instruction and its contribution to fostering environmental awareness among fifth-grade students at MI Miftahul Ulum Sukorejo, Bangsalsari, Jember. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, involving the fifth-grade teacher as the primary informant through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of PjBL covered several key steps, including the formulation of learning objectives, project planning, group division, process facilitation, and presentation of results. Nevertheless, student involvement in project planning, independent scheduling, and reflective activities remains limited. In terms of non-cognitive learning outcomes, students’ environmental awareness is still low, particularly regarding understanding basic environmental concepts, sensitivity to environmentally harmful behaviors, and habits related to cleanliness and school hygiene. These findings suggest that the implementation of PjBL has not yet been optimal in promoting environmentally responsible behavior, thus requiring strengthened teacher facilitation, more authentic project activities, and a stronger integration of ecological values within instruction. ABSTRAK Kerusakan lingkungan yang semakin meluas pada tingkat lokal maupun global menuntut lembaga pendidikan dasar untuk menumbuhkan kesadaran ekologis sejak dini. Namun, pembelajaran IPA di madrasah masih cenderung berorientasi pada teori sehingga belum sepenuhnya mendorong siswa memahami dan mempraktikkan perilaku peduli lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan pembelajaran IPA Biologi berbasis Project Based Learning (PjBL) serta kontribusinya dalam membentuk kepedulian lingkungan siswa kelas V MI Miftahul Ulum Sukorejo, Bangsalsari, Jember. Kajian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan guru kelas V sebagai informan utama melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PjBL telah mencakup beberapa langkah inti, seperti perumusan tujuan, perencanaan proyek, pembagian kelompok, pendampingan proses kerja, dan presentasi hasil. Meski demikian, pelibatan siswa dalam perencanaan proyek, penjadwalan mandiri, dan kegiatan refleksi masih terbatas. Dari sisi hasil belajar non-kognitif, kepedulian lingkungan siswa masih berada pada tingkat rendah, baik terkait pemahaman konsep dasar lingkungan, kepekaan terhadap perilaku tidak ramah lingkungan, maupun kebiasaan menjaga kebersihan sekolah. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa implementasi PjBL belum optimal dalam mengembangkan perilaku peduli lingkungan, sehingga diperlukan penguatan peran guru sebagai fasilitator, pengayaan aktivitas proyek yang lebih autentik, serta integrasi nilai-nilai ekologis dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how vinega solution affects the structure and hardness of chicken thigh bones. Bones are composed of two main materials, namely calcium carbonate, which provides strength, and collagen, which makes them slightly flexible. When bones are immersed in a vinegar solution containing acetic acid, a chemical reaction called decalcification occurs, which is the dissolution of calcium carbonate from the bones. As a result, bones that were originally hard lose their mineral composition and become more flexible and easier to bend because only elastic collagen tissue remains. In the experiment, chicken bones were soaked in vinegar for five days, then changes in color, texture, and bone hardness were observed. The results showed that the bones became softer, paler in color, and less likely to break when bent. Through this experiment, it was understood how a simple chemical reaction can change the physical properties of hard objects such as bones, as well as providing insight into the importance of calcium in maintaining bone strength. This experiment also taught the close relationship between chemistry and biology in practical terms in everyday life.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengulas secara mendalam penerapan strategi Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah melalui pendekatan analisis teoretis dan telaah literatur ilmiah. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode literatur review dengan beberapa langkah sistematis, yaitu: (1) mengidentifikasi tema dan fokus kajian terkait penerapan PBL dalam pembelajaran IPA; (2) menelusuri dan mengumpulkan sumber-sumber relevan dari jurnal nasional maupun internasional, buku, serta publikasi ilmiah terbitan tahun 2020–2025; (3) menyaring literatur berdasarkan kredibilitas, kesesuaian topik, dan kontribusi teoretis; (4) melakukan analisis isi terhadap temuan utama masing-masing sumber; dan (5) menyintesis informasi untuk menghasilkan pemahaman komprehensif mengenai efektivitas serta tantangan penerapan PBL di tingkat MI. Hasil telaah menunjukkan bahwa PBL berkontribusi positif terhadap peningkatan pemahaman konsep sains, keterampilan berpikir kritis, kemampuan pemecahan masalah, serta partisipasi aktif peserta didik. Pendekatan ini juga sejalan dengan prinsip konstruktivistik yang menekankan pembelajaran berpusat pada siswa. Namun demikian, sejumlah kendala ditemukan dalam implementasinya, seperti keterbatasan waktu, kesiapan guru, serta kurangnya sarana pendukung pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, kajian ini menegaskan bahwa PBL merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang relevan, inovatif, dan efektif dalam menciptakan pengalaman belajar IPA yang bermakna bagi siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah.
