Abstract

This article aims to examine the implementation of Curriculum Management at Ma'had Al-Bittsat Addiyah Yala, an educational institution in Southern Thailand with a majority Muslim population. The research method employed is a qualitative descriptive approach. The research findings reveal that the implementation of Curriculum Management at Ma'had Al-Bittsat Addiyah Yala commences with curriculum planning, involving the formulation of annual, semester, and teaching plans. The school and the curriculum department collaborate to ensure the smooth execution of the curriculum by integrating elements from both institutional and government curricula. Furthermore, curriculum control is exercised through classroom monitoring, supervision of teacher accommodations, and student dormitory management. Ongoing evaluations, including monthly assessments, teacher evaluations following semester examinations, and assessments of student learning outcomes (both written and oral), are utilized to enhance the curriculum. To support the implementation of Curriculum Management, several facilitating factors have been identified. These include the flexibility to tailor the religious education curriculum to the needs of the institution and students, specialized teacher training aligned with their educational fields, and the availability of adequate facilities and infrastructure. Nevertheless, challenges persist, such as students' reduced interest in religious subjects and crowded student schedules. Therefore, recommendations are proposed to enhance the attractiveness of religious subjects, provide further training for teachers based on their specializations, and improve the efficiency of the class schedule. The outcomes of this research hold significant implications for understanding curriculum management in the context of religious education in Southern Thailand, serving as a foundation for future improvements.

Abstract

Education is considered one of the primary values in Islam, with particular emphasis on the development of intellectuality. The concept of Ulu al-Albab, which literally means "people of understanding," is often mentioned in the Qur'an as a symbol of wisdom and deep understanding. This paper aims to analyze the verses that mention Ulu al-Albab in the context of intellectual education in Islam, using a classical Qur'anic exegesis approach, particularly the Al-Maraghi interpretation. Research Method: This study employs a qualitative approach focusing on the textual analysis of the Qur'an. The primary data used are the verses that mention Ulu al-Albab in the Qur'an, which are then deeply analyzed using the Al-Maraghi interpretation. Results and Discussion: The analysis of the verses mentioning Ulu al-Albab indicates that intellectual education in Islam emphasizes the importance of developing intellect and profound understanding of religious teachings and the surrounding world. These verses also highlight the importance of reflection, reasoning, and critical thinking in achieving true understanding.

The biggest challenge at the moment is no longer Covid-19, but a new normal that requires adaptability. This study aims to analyze the post-Covid-19 pandemic curriculum model and the supporting and inhibiting factors for its implementation. This research was conducted at MI Nurussalam Ngawi, using qualitative research methods, with a case study approach. The results showed that MI Nurussalam followed the government's mandate to choose one of the three curriculum options provided by the government, namely the 2013 Curriculum, the Emergency Curriculum (simplified 2013 Curriculum), and the Prototype Curriculum. In this case, MI Nurussalam chose to implement the 2013 curriculum, arguing that before the pandemic, this curriculum had already been implemented. The supporting factors for the implementation of the 2013 curriculum during the recovery period are the teacher's role as an indicator of implementing learning, the online learning implementation tools used, fun learning methods. While the inhibiting factors are the lack of cooperation between teachers and parents in guiding online learning, the lack of learning support facilities and infrastructure during the Covid-19 pandemic, the motivation of students in implementing learning at madrasas and at home.

Abstract

The necessity for dictionaries as a media for foreign language students, including Arabic, has consistently grown in significance. Particularly designed for students with a concentration in specialized disciplines, such as information engineering or technology. Nonetheless, an issue arises whereby pupils enrolled in the informatics engineering program at Darussalam Gontor University's Faculty of Science and Technology encounter challenges when attempting to compose scientific papers in Arabic due to the fact that, in addition to English, Arabic is required as the language of instruction for final assignments like theses. The issue is that there is no Indonesian-Arabic dictionary that could assist them in translating scientific terms into Arabic in accordance with their study program. At the moment, the Arabic-Indonesian dictionaries that are accessible are characterized by their general nature, lacking subject-specific specificity. Drawing from the provided information, the researcher intends to undertake an investigation concerning the compilation of the dictionary " التكنولوجيا المؤصر" The dictionary's purpose is to serve as a supplementary resource for Arabic language learners enrolled in the Informatics Engineering Study Program at Darussalam Gontor University's Faculty of Science and Technology. The objective of this study is to develop a functional and empirically sound bilingual dictionary between Indonesian and Arabic. Keywords: Arabic, Media, Informatics Engineering Study Program
