Abstract

This study aims to analyze the parenting patterns of adolescent students in Islamic character building at Al-Muqoddasah Islamic Boarding School in Ponorogo. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis includes data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results showed that the parenting pattern at Al-Muqoddasah Islamic Boarding School applies democratic parenting through direction, training, assignment, habituation, supervision, and uswatun hasanah. Special programs every Monday night, such as the study of fiqh, hadith, mahfudzot, as well as tausyiah from senior teachers and seminars, support the formation of Islamic character. Abstract

Tawakal is a work of the heart, a spiritual work, a worship whose meaning is very difficult, but needs to be applied in reality. Tawakal must be linked to the law of causes and causes, so that tawakal is no longer interpreted as silence without any activity. Tawakal will encourage someone to have a sense of optimism and courage in facing all life's problems. All these values exist in Islam, Christianity (Protestant and Catholic), Hinduism and Buddhism. The equal value of surrendering oneself to God is manifested in worship activities both alone and in congregation. In all religions it is the value of servitude in which there is the value of self-reliance.

Research Method: This study employs a qualitative approach focusing on the textual analysis of the Qur'an. The primary data used are the verses that mention Ulu al-Albab in the Qur'an, which are then deeply analyzed using the Al-Maraghi interpretation. Results and Discussion: The analysis of the verses mentioning Ulu al-Albab indicates that intellectual education in Islam emphasizes the importance of developing intellect and profound understanding of religious teachings and the surrounding world. These verses also highlight the importance of reflection, reasoning, and critical thinking in achieving true understanding.

Abstract

This study compares Singapore and Indonesia's approaches to character education. The three main subjects of this study are the problems and ideological foundations of character education in the two countries. A qualitative research method with a library approach, often referred to as desk research, is the methodology used. Study findings, published works, or official policies related to character education in the two countries are the sources of the data. Character education in Indonesia is based on the country's ideology, culture, religious views and customs, according to the research findings. Similarly, government policy constraints, official ideologies and philosophical beliefs form the foundation of character education in Singapore. Singapore and Indonesia both have problems with free sex, vandalism, thuggery and juvenile crime. Variations in stress levels affect the character of young people due to the high level of mobility in Singapore.

Abstract

This study explores the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in promoting religious moderation at the Islamic University of Kadiri (UNISKA) Kediri. The application of AI in religious education enhances the learning experience by offering personalized, interactive, and multimedia-based content that aligns with the values of moderation, tolerance, and interfaith dialogue. AI-powered learning platforms allow for the customization of materials according to students’ individual needs, facilitating their understanding of the significance of religious moderation. Despite its potential, the implementation of AI faces challenges, such as disparities in digital access, resistance to technological change, and ethical concerns related to privacy and data security. Nevertheless, AI presents opportunities to improve educational accessibility, personalize learning experiences, and foster interfaith dialogue. By integrating AI into religious education, UNISKA Kediri has the potential to create a more inclusive and tolerant academic environment. Strategic planning, collaboration among lecturers, AI experts, and religious leaders, alongside ongoing training, are essential for the successful implementation of AI at UNISKA Kediri.
