Abstract

This study examines the important role of sociological theory in education, focusing on its contribution to strengthening the function of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Education is not only understood as a means of transferring knowledge, but also as a medium for the formation of morals and character, and a driver of social change. The purpose of this study is to provide a theoretical understanding of the relevance of sociological theories, particularly structural functionalism, symbolic interactionism, conflict theory, and exchange theory, in supporting Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning practices. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing various relevant books and scientific articles. The analysis was conducted using a descriptive-analytical approach by connecting theoretical concepts with real phenomena in the practice of Islamic Religious Education in schools. The results show that functional theory emphasizes the role of PAI in creating social order and moral values, symbolic theory explains the meaning of religious interactions between teachers and students, conflict theory highlights the issue of unequal access to Islamic Religious Education, while exchange theory explains the reciprocal relationship that builds learning motivation. Thus, the integration of sociological theories contributes to the development of PAI that is more contextual, inclusive, and relevant to the challenges of the times.

Abstract

The leadership of the principal or madrasah has an important role in improving the quality of education, especially in the field of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). A principal is not only tasked with managing administration effectively, but the principal also motivates and directs all parties involved in education to achieve the targets that have been set. This article aims to discuss various paradigms and thoughts on the leadership of the principal in the context of PAI, as well as to explore the competence, type of leadership, and responsibilities of the principal in improving the quality of PAI. In addition, this article also identifies various problems that are often faced by principals and provides solutions to overcome these challenges. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with secondary data research data sources, data collection techniques are carried out through documentation studies and analyzed using content analysis techniques. Based on this study, it was found that an effective principal must have competencies in managerial, pedagogical, leadership, and social, and can apply various types of leadership to support improving the quality of PAI. Solutions to overcome various problems faced by principals, such as the lack of PAI teacher skills and difficulties in implementing the curriculum, can be found through training for teachers and adjusting the curriculum to be more flexible.

Abstract

The aims of child protection is enable children to grow and develop optimally. The responsibility and protection of the children lies on their parents. Therefore, the parents are the spearhead of child protection as stated in the Law on Human Rights (pasal 26 paragraph 2). There are many crime in children such as child sexual violence and malnutrition. Moreover, children also get violence from parents and people closest. In other case, children are forced to earn money eventhough they should go to school. One causal factor influencing is the lack of knowledge from their parents and the readiness of the financial. In addition, this condition is often experienced by families from early-age marriage. Perlindungan terhadap anak bertujuan agar anak dapat tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal. Tanggung jawab dan perlindungan anak terletak pada orang tua, maka orang tualah yang menjadi ujung tombak perlindungan anak sebagaimana yang tercantum dalam Undang-undang tentang Hak Asasi Manusia pasa 26 ayat 2. Banyak terjadi kasus penelantaran hak-hak anak seperti kasus kekerasan seksual anak juga sering dijadikan ekspose ekonomi keluarga seharusnya anak bersekolah akan tetapi anak harus dibebani untuk mencari nafkah keluarga, anak memperoleh tindakan kekerasan dari orang tua serta orang terdekat, tidak terpenuhinya kesehatan dan gizi yang baik. Kondisi seperti ini terjadi salah satunya karena bekal pengetahuan dari orang tuanya yang kurang serta kesiapan dari material yang belum ada. Kondisi ini sering dialami oleh keluarga dari pasangan yang menikah pada usia dini.
