Abstract

This study aims to obtain information on changes in the character of individual M2 generation mutant rice, similarities between individuals of the M2 generation mutant and its comparison, and correlation between variables. This research was conducted by observing the vegetative, generative, and potential yields of each individual rice mutant and its comparison. The data obtained were tested by cluster analysis and correlation analysis. The observations showed that almost all the characters of the M2 generation mutant individuals changed except for the qualitative vegetative characters. Cluster analysis based on quantitative vegetative character showed 1 different mutant individual (0% similarity), and 1 other individual with 38.83% similarity compared to other and non-mutant mutants, and commercial varieties. Based on quantitative and production generative characters, there are 2 distinct groups that differ from each other (0% similarity). The similarity range of each distinct group is 21.17-43.56%. The strong to very strong and very significant correlation that occurs in vegetative and generative characters with production is found between the number of tillers and panicles, total grain weight and dry grain weight of 98.7% each; 60.9% and 58.3%; the number of leaves is thus also between the number of panicles, total grain weight and dry grain weight respectively 91.3%; 53.3% and 53.4%; panicles with total grain weight and dry grain weight were 60.1% and 57.6%, respectively.

Abstract

Islamic character education is an effort to build a generation that has noble morals based on Islamic values. The Merdeka Belajar Curriculum initiated by the Indonesian government provides flexibility for educators to integrate local values, including religious values, into learning. This article aims to analyze how Islamic character education can be integrated in the Merdeka Belajar Curriculum. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review. The results show that the integration of Islamic character education requires collaboration between educators, curriculum, and society in supporting the creation of religious, ethical, and accomplished students. In conclusion, Islamic character education is a key element in building holistic education according to the demands of the modern era.

Abstract

The utilization of digital technology in education continues to grow, including in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of digital applications in improving students' understanding of PAI materials. The research was conducted through quantitative and qualitative approaches involving students and teachers from various levels of education. The results showed that digital applications, such as learning videos, interactive quizzes, and online modules, are able to improve students' understanding of Islamic concepts. However, this effectiveness depends on device availability, digital literacy and teacher support. This study suggests the integration of digital apps designed according to the curriculum and students' needs.

Abstract

The implementation of Aswaja courses at the Islamic University of Jember (UIJ) in forming students' Wasathiyah Islamic character (Islamic moderation) is the main subject of this study. The primary study issue is how UIJ's Aswaja course model helps students develop a moderate Islamic character and how well the university has done at doing so. This research will employ a case study with a qualitative approach and provides a detailed examination of a specific environment, object, or collection of documents or events. To achieve the research objectives, the researcher conducts field observations, structured or unstructured interviews with key personnel at the Islamic University of Jember, and document analysis to supplement data. Data collection will occur in a natural setting, with the researcher observing without prior arrangement, aiming for their presence to maximize the study's objectives effectively. The integration of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah values in education at the Islamic University of Jember (UIJ), who revealed various strategies and policies the university employs to internalize Aswaja values in every aspect of education, it was found that Aswaja values such as moderation (tawasuth), balance (tawazun), tolerance (tasamuh), and justice (i'tidal) are systematically implemented in both credit-based and non-credit curricula, including courses outside the religious field. UIJ has designed teaching methods that encourage students to not only understand these values theoretically but also apply them in daily life, achieved through a student-centered learning (SCL) approach that facilitates dialogue, inquiry, and material exploration by students.

Abstract

Pendidikan memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan, termasuk perkembangan era digital. Dalam era digital, kaum milenial memerlukan landasan moral yang kokoh untuk mencapai kesuksesan. Pendidikan Islam yang berlandaskan Al-Qur'an dan Hadits bertujuan membentuk kesalehan sosial pada siswa agar mereka memiliki sikap baik terhadap diri sendiri maupun orang lain. Pendidikan Islam terbuka untuk semua jenjang usia dan memiliki peran signifikan dalam membangun kepribadian individu, terutama di tengah kemajuan revolusi industri 4.0 dan masyarakat 5.0 yang menghadirkan peluang sekaligus tantangan baru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dengan menggunakan model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) dalam membentuk sikap sosial siswa di SDN 03 Kemuninglor Arjasa Jember. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hambatan yang mungkin dihadapi selama menerapkan pembelajaran PAI dengan pendekatan PjBL di sekolah tersebut. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Data dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui interpretasi dan penyajian hasil. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PjBL dalam pembelajaran PAI melibatkan langkah-langkah penting, seperti identifikasi materi pembelajaran, perancangan proyek yang relevan, pelaksanaan pembelajaran kolaboratif, serta pemberian umpan balik yang konstruktif. Model ini bertujuan membangun sikap sosial positif pada siswa, seperti kemampuan bekerja sama, toleransi, empati, dan kepedulian sosial. Walaupun terdapat kendala, seperti kebutuhan waktu persiapan yang lebih lama dan keterbatasan sumber daya, guru PAI berupaya memanfaatkan sumber daya yang tersedia dan melibatkan dukungan orang tua siswa. Evaluasi keberhasilan dilakukan dengan mengukur tingkat partisipasi siswa, pemahaman terhadap materi, keterampilan sosial yang ditunjukkan, serta evaluasi diri siswa.

Abstract

Produksi pertanian yang berkelanjutan menjadi isu penting di tengah krisis lingkungan yang dihadapi saat ini. Krisis lingkungan yang diperparah oleh praktik pertanian konvensional mendorong terciptanya inovasi teknologi pertanian berkelanjutan yang tidak hanya berfokus pada peningkatan produksi, tetapi juga memperhatikan dampaknya terhadap ekosistem. Salah satu pendekatan teknologi pertanian ramah lingkungan adalah penggunaan agen hayati dan vermiwash, yaitu ekstrak cair yang dihasilkan dari cacing tanah dan kaya akan nutrisi, enzim, serta hormon pertumbuhan alami. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di lingkungan sekolah SMAN 1 Lawang dan SMAN 2 Batu. Metode-metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini mencakup pendidikan masyarakat, pelatihan, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Program ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi siswa SMA dalam memproduksi bio vermiwash sebagai alternatif teknologi pertanian yang ramah lingkungan. Melalui hasil kuisioner, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman siswa sebelum dan sesudah dilaksanakan kegiatan pendampingan. Hasil peningkatan tertinggi pada program pendampingan produksi biovermiwash adalah pada pemahaman siswa terkait konsep pembuatan biovermiwash. Peningkatannya mencapai 60,62%, dimana hasil pre-test dan posttest berturut-turut sebesar 51% dan 82%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan metode penyampaian materi yang disertai praktik efektif meningkatkan pemahaman siswa dalam teknik produksi bio vermiwash sebagai bagian dari teknologi pertanian berkelanjutan. Sustainable agricultural production is an important issue amidst the current environmental crisis. The environmental crisis exacerbated by conventional agricultural practices has encouraged the creation of sustainable agricultural technology innovations that not only focus on increasing production but also pay attention to its impact on the ecosystem. One of the environmentally friendly agricultural technologies is the use of biological agents and vermiwash, which is liquid organic material produced from earthworms that are rich in nutrients, enzymes, and growth hormones. This activity was carried out at Senior High School 1 Lawang and Senior High School 2 Batu. The methods used in this study include presentations, training, and activity evaluations. This program aims to assist high school students in producing bio vermiwash as an alternative environmentally friendly agricultural technology. Based on the results of the questionnaire, it showed an increase in student understanding before and after the mentoring activity. The highest percentage increase was found in students' understanding of making biovermiwash where the increase reached 60.62%, where the pre-test and post-test results were 51% and 82% respectively. This result demonstrated that mentoring with the method of delivering material and practice has proven effective in increasing students' understanding of biovermiwash production techniques as part of sustainable agricultural technology.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar policy, introduced by the Minister of Education and Culture, Nadiem Makarim, aims to improve the quality of education in Indonesia by granting teachers and students the freedom to manage the learning process. The Merdeka Curriculum, as part of this policy, offers flexibility in teaching methods oriented toward holistic student character development, including academic competence, soft skills, and critical thinking abilities. The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is carried out through three approaches: Mandiri Belajar (Independent Learning), Mandiri Berubah (Independent Transformation), and Mandiri Berbagi (Independent Sharing), each providing varying degrees of autonomy for schools to adapt learning processes to local needs. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review to analyze the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, covering literacy, numeracy, character surveys, and project-based learning aligned with the Pancasila Student Profile. The results indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum offers opportunities for teachers to create innovative and relevant learning experiences, although it requires support in training and collaboration among stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes. With this approach, it is expected that Indonesian education can accommodate students' needs in an era of globalization and technological transformation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pentingnya motivasi dan hubungan motivasi dengan keberhasilan belajar di MTs Bustaul Ulum Mlokorejo Puger Jember, sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi sangat penting karena dapat membantu siswa saat mengalami titik jenuh, sehingga dengan motivasi, siswa akan semangat dan motivasi ini sangat berhubungan dengan keberhasilan belajar. Pemberian motivasi intrinsik ataupun ekstrinsik keduanya sangat penting; seperti pemberian motivasi dalam bentuk; reward, pujian, kompetensi, pemberian harapan. Berdasarkan hasil pemaparan diatas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh motivasi belajar terhadap keberhasilan siswa sangat berpengaruh. Kata Kunci: Motivasi Belajar, Keberhasilan Belajar

Abstract

This research was motivated by the habit of disciplinary attitudes at MI Bustanul Ulum Mlokorejo Puger, Jember, where habituation is carried out by providing an example or being a role model for younger classmates and when learning in class begins to take place and also outside the classroom. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interviews and documentation methods, which were used to collect data regarding the condition of the school, the condition of its infrastructure, and the habit of disciplinary attitudes. Discipline will arise if there is openness, cooperation, compliance with norms with a sense of responsibility. Meanwhile, learning is a process of change that is obtained from the efforts made by a person to obtain a new change in behavior as a whole as a result of his own experience in interaction with his environment. The results of this research show that children will have a disciplined character if they are accustomed to waiting their turn in sequence and not going ahead of each other when entering the study room. Likewise, when learning activities are finished, children are accustomed to waiting for their turn, and other good habits that make student disciplined based on the habits they have made.

Abstract

Islamic higher education institutions bear a significant responsibility in shaping students’ character to align with noble values and Aswaja An-Nahdliyah principles. One of the efforts undertaken is to develop a learning model that integrates local wisdom with Aswaja An-Nahdliyah values. This study aims to produce a well-developed product, specifically a character education model based on Aswaja An-Nahdliyah and local wisdom that is effective in building students’ character in Islamic higher education. This learning model is expected to assist lecturers in nurturing students’ character under Aswaja An-Nahdliyah's values and local wisdom, thereby shaping students into future generations with noble character and national insight. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis methods involve data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results of this study indicate that the learning model based on local wisdom and Aswaja An-Nahdliyah values, developed, internalized, and integrated into the Aswaja An-Nahdliyah Character course through teaching, academic studies, and academic culture, has provided understanding and reinforcement of Aswaja An-Nahdliyah creed among students.
