Abstract

The high coverage rate of handling partially rejected claim financing reaching 7.34% of the total 19,476 cases in the Outpatient Unit of the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital (RSJD) in 2022, is closely related to the quality of human resources (HR) in this case, the claims officer and the suitability of what is done with the job description, job specifications and standard operating procedures (SOP) that have been made. This study aimed to analyze the position of administrative officers and claim verifiers in the outpatient unit of the Jambi Provincial Mental Hospital. This research used a qualitative method. Information was collected through in-depth interviews with eight informants, observation, and document review. Test validity by triangulating sources, techniques, and data. The results showed that officers already knew the claims administration and verification procedures. The claim administration SOP in this case, the RJTL claim submission SOP and the monthly reporting SOP have not been outlined in a decision letter for the coding SOP. However, it has been outlined in a decision letter but has not been adequately socialized to the officers concerned. The SOP for claim verification has not been outlined in a decision letter and still refers to the technical guidelines for claim verification issued by BPJS Health. It is still found that the delegation of tasks and the number of verification officers not following the calculation of workload and standards set are obstacles in implementing administration and verification of claims in the Jambi Province RSJD outpatient department.

Abstract

Background: Health insurance serves as a key mechanism in facilitating wider and more equitable availability of healthcare services, ensuring that every individual can access the services they need. Aims: This research aims to examine the correlation between community perceptions and enrollment in the National Health Insurance (JKN) in the Musi Rawas Utara District, Indonesia. Methods: This research applied a cross-sectional study by collecting data from 384 respondents. Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the correlation between perceptions and JKN enrollment. Results: The results showed that 68.49% of respondents were not enrolled in the JKN. Factors associated with JKN enrollment include perceptions regarding JKN, income, and the history of illness. People with favorable perceptions have a 1.90 times higher chance to join the JKN membership. People with income ≥ provincial minimum wage (UMR) have an opportunity of 0.50 times higher than people with income < UMR to join the JKN membership. The history of illness is likely to enhance JKN enrollment by 7.86 times. Conclusion: In the Musi Rawas Utara District, the rate of enrollment in the JKN program remains low. Strategic policy reforms, accompanied by targeted advocacy and health education promotion, have the potential to significantly increase JKN enrollment and contribute to the realization and sustainability of universal health coverage (UHC) goals. Abstract

Rural communities tend to be more hesitant to accept and adopt information. This behaviour affects the knowledge they have, especially knowledge related to JKN. This study aims to determine the relationship between information exposure and JKN knowledge in the Sungai Lebung Village community. This quantitative study a cross-sectional design and purposive sampling technique for a total sample size of 108 respondents. The multiple logistic regression of risk factors was the statistical analysis used in this study. The univariate test results showed that 60 respondents (55.6%) had low JKN knowledge. Multivariate analysis showed that exposure to JKN information was associated with JKN knowledge after being controlled by confounding variables such as gender, education, occupation, and health worker support. People exposed to JKN information sourced by BPJSK have a 3.5 times chance of having high knowledge related to JKN. It can be concluded that socialization concerning JKN using information media sourced by BPJSK needs to be improved by considering gender, education, employment and health worker support.

Abstract

In Indonesia, stunting has emerged as a critical national issue that must be addressed as it significantly affects the potential and quality of human resources. One of the initiatives implemented by Puskesmas Multiwahana to combat stunting is the evaluation of the supplementary feeding program, specifically the 'One Egg per Day' initiative for stunted toddlers. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of the program using a qualitative approach, employing in-depth interviews with nine informants. The evaluation framework consists of three components: Input (Man, Money, Material, Method), Process (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling), and Output (Program Coverage). Findings indicated that the 'One Egg per Day' program at Puskesmas Multiwahana has been effectively implemented, successfully providing eggs to stunted toddlers. However, several challenges remain, particularly in monitoring consumption and distribution. In conclusion, the program faces limitations in supervision frequency and relies primarily on weight and height measurements for evaluation, highlighting the need for improved monitoring mechanisms to enhance its overall impact.

Abstract

Currently, Indonesia is facing a triple burden problem, namely the incidence of infectious diseases, increasing cases of non-communicable diseases, and the re-emergence of types of diseases that should have been successfully overcome. It is called the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) so that everyone is aware, willing, and able to behave healthily. It is essential to introduce school-age children as one of the strategic target groups in developing healthy living behavior from an early age. Methods: The method of this community service activity is carried out by providing education about GERMAS using the innovative BAHAGIA fairy tale media, as well as providing a pre-post test questionnaire to measure changes in the level of knowledge in elementary school age children before and after being given education. Results: Participants in this community service activity were 34 class IV students at SDN 03 Kelekar. There was a significant difference in the respondents' knowledge scores before and after education was carried out using innovative BAHAGIA tales media. Conclusion: Community service activities were attended with great enthusiasm and active participation from all students. It is hoped that GERMAS can be implemented in the school environment more optimally. Keywords: GERMAS; BAHAGIA Tales; Knowledge

Abstract

Data from the Ogan Ilir District Health Office shows that the coverage of antenatal care services is still not optimal. Only around 60-70% of pregnant women make complete ANC visits (at least four visits during pregnancy) according to the standards set by WHO. Most pregnant women in the Ogan Ilir District enrolled in NHI fall into the Contribution Assistance Recipient (PBI) category. This suggests that contribution assistance is critical in improving access to health services for low-income pregnant women. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of JKN contribution assistance on the utilization of Antenatal Care (ANC) services in Ogan Ilir District. The research design was a cross-sectional study using secondary data from the Field Learning Experience by the Faculty of Public Health, Sriwijaya University in 2023. The population was all mothers with children under five, with purposive sampling with 342 respondents in Pemulutan District and Tanjung Batu District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra. Univariate analysis was used to describe each variable, and bivariate analysis using Chi-Square Test. The results showed no effect of the variables (NHI contribution assistance, age of father and mother, education of father and mother, number of family members, number of children under five, history of illness, and family income) on ANC service utilization. This indicates the need for additional interventions to increase ANC service utilization in the area.

Abstract

Health workers at primary health care are the frontline providers of community health services. This study aimed to investigate the level of job satisfaction of health workers at primary health care in Palembang City, South Sumatra Province, Indonesia, and its influencing factors. Using a questionnaire developed by the authors' team, the study involved 257 samples. A total of 66.15% of respondents indicated high satisfaction, 21.79% reported moderate satisfaction, and 12.06% expressed dissatisfaction. A statistically significant correlation was found between knowledge, skills, income, promotion opportunities, work supervision, and relationships with colleagues and job satisfaction (p-value <0.001). The correlations were strong, with Spearman's rho of 0.822, 0.869, 0.912, 0.895, and 0.821, respectively. Statistical analysis of the Wilcoxon rank-sum and Kruskal-Wallis tests showed no significant differences in median satisfaction scores between sociodemographic groups (p-value 0.072 to 0.552>0.05). These findings showed that job satisfaction depends on multiple factors. Both intrinsic and extrinsic factors play a key role in shaping job satisfaction. Health workforce management should prioritize organizational factors to sustain job satisfaction over sociodemographic factors. Key strategies include regular training, fair salaries, clear promotion paths, strong supervision, and fostering teamwork through leadership training and staff meetings.
