Abstract

The foundation is an important part of building construction, acting as a support for the building and transferring loads evenly from the upper structure to the ground. In construction projects, one of the most important activities is to test the bearing capacity of bore piles using the Pile Driving Analyser (PDA) method. The purpose of this test is to ensure that the capacity of the bored pile can meet the structural requirements of the toll road, particularly in the face of significant vertical and lateral loads. Improving the efficiency of the PDA (Pile Driving Analyzer) testing method is an important challenge in the foundation of bored piles in infrastructure projects. This study discusses the analysis of the use of the Frame Portal PDA as an alternative to the crane hammer method. The analysis includes quality, time and cost aspects on the Toll project. The results show that the PDA Portal Frame method is more efficient with a cost saving of Rp109,010,524.00 and a reduction in implementation time for 2 days of test points compared to the crane method. In addition, the PDA Portal Frame structure has a maximum deformation of 0.030 mm, which is within safe limits according to SNI 2847-2019.

Abstract

Gresik Regency is a coastal area with a significant mangrove population, notably in the Ujungpangkah region. The Ujungpangkah mangrove forest is a designated ecotourism and conservation area. However, due to management and utilization practices by the local community, the mangrove ecosystem in Banyuurip Village, Ujungpangkah District, has experienced a decline. This study aims to determine the mangrove density in Banyuurip Village using vegetation index transformation methods (NDVI and DVI). Assessing the density of mangrove vegetation is crucial for the effective management of mangrove forests to ensure they fulfill their ecological functions. The research employs a quantitative method, utilizing Landsat 8 imagery data to measure mangrove density using the NDVI and DVI methods. The study results indicate that the NDVI canopy density classification is 86.67%, divided into three classes: dense (569.700 ha or 95.32%), medium (29.910 ha or 4.50%), and sparse (1.080 ha or 0.18%). Meanwhile, the FCD classification results are 73.33%, also divided into three classes: dense (583.740 ha or 97.67%), medium (13.410 ha or 2.24%), and sparse (0.540 ha or 0.09%). The NDVI method proved to be the most accurate for classifying canopy density based on the accuracy test data

Abstract

Soil porosity plays an important role in the design of the substructure of a building. Soil porosity itself is one of the characteristics of the soil. By understanding the level of porosity, land management and spatial planning in the future can be carried out more efficiently and quickly. This study aims to calculate soil porosity levels, develop a mathematical model that links soil porosity with satellite image reflectance, and map the distribution of soil porosity levels in the coastal area of Tuban. The research methods include laboratory testing and numerical data processing using the Lagrange polynomial approach. Mapping was performed using ArcGIS software, utilizing Landsat 8 satellite image reflectance data (Band 4 and Band 5) combined with field data. The results of this study show that soil porosity levels in the coastal area of Tuban vary considerably. The mathematical model obtained is derived from a second-degree polynomial equation, y = 83.775x² - 46.752x + 6.8654, with high accuracy, indicated by an average data deviation of 2%. Data points from Google Earth Pro were integrated into ArcGIS to produce thematic maps. These maps visualize the variation in soil porosity distribution through a color gradient.

Abstract

Construction projects are influenced by various factors, one of which is the productivity of heavy equipment used. One such equipment used in concrete pouring projects is the concrete pump, which functions to transport fresh concrete to the pouring location. This study aims to measure the productivity and time efficiency of concrete pump usage in the construction of the Aston Inn Hotel in Lumajang. The equipment's productivity is calculated based on the volume of concrete pumped and the time required for the pouring process. The results showed that the productivity of the concrete pump on the 5th floor was 0.219 m³/min, while on the 6th floor, it was 0.166 m³/min, with an elevation difference of 3.4 meters between the floors. Time efficiency was also measured, with the pouring of 63 m³ of concrete taking between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the proximity of the concrete mixer truck to the project site. This study provides insights into how optimizing the use of heavy equipment can improve productivity and efficiency in construction projects, especially in concrete pouring tasks with a concrete pump.
