Abstract

Vertebra lumbal merupakan bagian dari kolumna vertebralis yang terletak di tengah-tengah tubuh pada bagian posterior. MRI adalah metode akurat untuk mendiagnosis dan mengevaluasi kelainan diskus dan kompresi lumbal. salah satu parameter yang penting adalah Parameter Parallel Acquisition Technique (PAT) dan Echo Train length (ETL). K-space akan terisi lebih cepat sehingga waktu scan menjadi lebih singkat yang merupakan keunggulan FSE, karena ETL efektif sehingga menghasilkan sinyal yang kuat seperti pada cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan studi eksperimen. Pada saat penelitian dilakukan di Instalasi Radiologi Rumah Sakit Indriati Solo Baru dengan menggunakan kombinasi PAT-ETL, kombinasi PAT 2-ETL 12, PAT 2-ETL 24, PAT 2-ETL 32. Dilakukan pengukuran CNR keluar pada area yang dievaluasi yaitu kelainan anatomi dan CSF. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan CNR gambar MRI Lumbar bagian sagital variasi ETL 12, ETL 24, dan ETL 32 dengan signifikansi p-value <0,05 untuk ETL 12 dan ETL 24, p-value >0,05 untuk ETL 32 Hasil CNR optimal dari variasi ini adalah ETL 12. Dari hasil uji beda Paired Sample T-test p-value <0,05 untuk ETL 12 dan ETL 24 berarti ada perbedaan, p-value>0,05 untuk ETL 32 berarti tidak ada perbedaan. Nilai mean tertinggi pada uji beda adalah CNR optimal, ETL 12.

Abstract

Diagnosing optic nerve disorders in the orbit is a clinical challenge that requires sophisticated imaging technology. MRI has become one of the main diagnostic tools in identifying various optic nerve pathologies, such as Optic Neuritis, Multiple Sclerosis, and tumors. However, it is important to understand in more depth how MRI can play an effective role in this diagnosis process. This study aims to explore the role of MRI in diagnosing optic nerve disorders in the orbit, specifically focusing on Optic Neuritis. This research uses a Literature Review Study approach by collecting data from various sources, including Pubmed, Google Scholar, and online repositories. Relevant data was selected based on established inclusion criteria, and then analyzed to understand the contribution of MRI in the process of diagnosing optic nerve disorders. The results of the study show that the use of ADC values has proven effective in diagnosing Multiple Sclerosis of the optic nerve, while the diagnosis of Optic Neuritis can be made without the use of contrast media with high sensitivity. Imaging techniques with diffusion weighting, fat saturation, and phase oversampling have also been proven to improve the quality of Orbital MRI images by reducing artifacts. It is also recommended to use slice thicknesses of 1 mm, 2 mm, and 3 mm to optimally display small anatomy and pathology. The rFOV-EPI imaging technique is recommended because it can provide high spatial resolution. Thus, through the application of the various MRI imaging techniques and parameters mentioned above, a more accurate and detailed diagnosis can be made regarding the pathological condition of the optic nerve in the orbit. This research makes an important contribution to our understanding of the role of MRI in the diagnosis and management of optic nerve disorders, as well as providing practical guidance for medical practitioners in the clinical use of this technology.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada Analisis Pemeriksaan CT Scan kepala kontras pada pemeriksaan Tumor Otak di Rumah Sakit Santosa Bandung Kopo, Tumor adalah formasi sel atipikal. Sel adalah komponen dasar yang menyusun jaringan dan organ di seluruh tubuh. Tumor otak ditandai dengan proliferasi sel-sel abnormal yang berkumpul, sehingga menghambat fungsi normal otak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, mengamati 3 pasien Tumor Otak. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melaui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dengan tujuan utama mengevaluasi penggunaan klinis CT Scan kepala kontras dalam mendeteksi dan mendiagnosa Tumor Otak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan ketebalan irisan 5mm dalam CT Scan di Rumah Sakit Santosa Bandung Kopo efektif untuk memvisualisasikan patologi Tumor Otak. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan Kelebihan dan kekurangan dari Slice Thickness 5 mm pada pemeriksaan CT Scan Kepala Kontras Pada Kasus Tumor Otak yaitu memiliki kelebihan dapat mendiagnosa kelainan tumor pada kepala, pemeriksaannya lebih cepat dan sederhana, peralatan yang digunakan lebih sedikit dan efesiensi waktu. Kekurangannya yaitu detail anatomi kecil atau lesi yang kecil mungkin tidak terdeteksi ataupun akan tampak kabur.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) is one of the most common congenital heart diseases. One method of closure is cardiac catheterization with the implantation of a PDA Occluder device. This study aimed to examine the role of radiographers in PDA Occluder procedures in the catheterization laboratory. A qualitative descriptive method was applied through radiographer interviews and review of medical records. The results demonstrated that the PDA closure was successfully performed without complications, with oxygen saturation increasing from 86.8% to 93.1%, a low fluoroscopy time (6.21 minutes; DAP 0.975 Gy-cm²), and complete image documentation in the PACS system. Radiographers contributed significantly to fluoroscopy parameter adjustment, radiation protection, and procedural documentation. Keywords: Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA), Cardiac Catheterization, PDA Occluder, Radiographer, Radiation Protection, Fluoroscopy  ABSTRAK Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) adalah salah satu penyakit jantung bawaan yang paling sering ditemukan. Salah satu metode penutupannya adalah prosedur kateterisasi jantung dengan pemasangan perangkat PDA Occluder. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran radiografer dalam tindakan pemasangan perangkat PDA Occluder di laboratorium kateterisasi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara radiografer dan telaah laporan medis. Hasil menunjukkan prosedur penutupan PDA berhasil dilakukan tanpa komplikasi, dengan peningkatan saturasi oksigen dari 86,8% menjadi 93,1%, waktu fluoroskopi rendah (6,21 menit; DAP 0,975 Gy-cm²), serta dokumentasi citra lengkap di PACS. Abstract

Background: Double Inversion Recovery (DIR) is a newer sequence compared to the T2 FLAIR sequence in MRI Brain examinations used for epilepsy cases. Further research is needed to determine the optimal sequence for MRI Brain in epilepsy cases.Methods: This research is a quantitative study with an experimental approach. This study uses DIR and T2 SPACE sekuen to assess image quality in terms of Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR). The data will be analyzed using SPSS.Results: The normality test shows a p-value < 0.05, indicating that the data is not normally distributed. In the Wilcoxon test, the negative rank indicates a decrease in image quality (CNR) from the DIR sequence to T2 FLAIR SPACE. The test statistics show a p-value < 0.05, indicating a significant difference in image quality (CNR) between the DIR and T2 FLAIR SPACE sekuen.Conclusions: The Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR) image quality in Double Inversion Recovery (DIR) is higher compared to T2 FLAIR SPACE, thus making the DIR sequence more optimal in assessing image quality (CNR) compared to the T2 FLAIR SPACE sequence.

Abstract

Background: Radiotherapy is one method of cancer treatment that uses radiation to destroy cancer cells. Radiation dose delivery is done gradually through a process called fractionation, which is divided into conventional and hypofractionated fractions. In the radiation oncology installation of the new Indriati Solo Hospital, some breast cancer patients have received treatment with the hypofractionated method, while the majority still use the conventional fraction method. The hypofractionated method aims to reduce the number of treatment sessions by increasing the dose in each fraction with outcomes comparable to conventional fractions.Methods: This research method is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The study involves breast cancer patients post-Breast Conserving Surgery (BCS), Data were gathered through interviews with radiation oncologists, radiotherapists, and medical physicists, along with direct observations and patient record analysis The collected data were analyzed descriptively to evaluate the application and effectiveness of the hypofractionated method.Results: The results showed that the use of hypofractionated can shorten OTT (Overall Treatment Time), as well as better side effects than conventional fractions, and effectively reduce the number of queues of radiotherapy patients. In conclusion, the use of the hypofractionated method is very effective and recommended for radiotherapy treatment in breast cancer.Conclusions: Hypofractionated radiotherapy for breast cancer patients at Indriati Solo Baru has proven effective in reducing OTT and patient queues, with outcomes comparable to conventional fractionation. Further research is needed to assess long-term benefits, including quality of life, recurrence rates, cost-effectiveness, and dose distribution, particularly in high-volume healthcare settings. Hypofractionated radiotherapy is a promising alternative.

Abstract

Penyakit Jantung Koroner (PJK) merupakan penyakit nomor satu didunia yang menyebabkan kematian. PCI merupakan tindakan invasif dengan cara melebarkan penyempitan arteri koroner dengan menggunakan balon dan stent yang diarahkan melalui kateter. Tindakan PCI telah dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Pelamonia sejak tahun 2019. Meskipun prosedur ini memberikan manfaat bagi pasien tetapi juga berkontribusi untuk terjadinya komplikasi yang cukup lebar. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian deskriptif retrospektif. Subjek penelitian menggunakan total sampling dari Januari 2020- April 2022 yaitu sebanyak 33 pasien. Teknik tindakan PCI yang dilakukan di Rumah Sakit TNI AD Tk.II Pelamonia Makassar telah sesuai dengan literatur yang ada dimulai dari persiapan pasien, persiapan alat, posisi objek, kemudian dilanjutkan prosedur tindakan. Dari total sampel 33 pasien yang dilakukan tindakan PCI, dimana terdapat 16 orang (48,5%) yang mengalami komplikasi dan yang tidak mengalami komplikasi sebanyak 17 orang (51,5 %). dimana komplikasi pada saat tindakan yaitu hematoma sebanyak 7 orang (21.2 %), pendarahan sebanyak 13 orang (39.4 %), dan komplikasi saat selesai tindakan yaitu alergi sebanyak 2 orang (6.1 %) dan contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) sebanyak 3 orang (9.1 %). Pasien tindakan PCI di dominasi jenis kelamin laki-laki sebanyak 30 orang dengan persentase 90 % Sedangkan untuk jenis kelamin perempuan sebanyak 3 orang dengan persentase 10 %. Teknik tindakan PCI yang dilakukan di Rumah Sakit TNI AD Tk.II Pelamonia Makassar telah sesuai dengan literatur yang ada. Komplikasi yang terjadi dari tindakan PCI di ruang kateterisasi jantung Rumah Sakit TNI AD Tk. II Pelamonia Makassar yaitu terdapat 4 jenis komplikasi yakni hematoma, pendarahan, alergi dan Contrast Induced Nephropathy (CIN).

Abstract

Multi Slice Computed Tomography (MSCT) adalah teknologi pencitraan medis yang memungkinkan pemindaian tubuh dalam beberapa irisan sekaligus, menghasilkan gambar yang lebih rinci dibandingkan CT Scan konvensional. Uji kesesuaian diperlukan untuk memastikan MSCT tetap menghasilkan gambar diagnostik yang akurat dan berkualitas. Kebaruan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji kesesuaian pesawat CT Scan Multislice Ge Healthcare di Unit Radiologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kesesuaian dan kinerja pesawat CT Scan Multislice di Unit Radiologi RSU Kertha Usada. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan survei. Uji kesesuaian meliputi analisis CT Number, evaluasi artefak, dan pemeriksaan visual checklist. Penelitian dilakukan selama 30 hari dengan menggunakan water phantom sebagai objek uji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa CT Scan Multislice memenuhi standar kesesuaian dengan nilai CT Number dalam batas toleransi (-4 HU hingga +4 HU untuk akurasi dan ≤ 2 HU untuk keseragaman). Tidak ditemukan streak, shading, atau ring artefak yang mengganggu kualitas gambar. Pemeriksaan visual checklist menunjukkan bahwa semua komponen perangkat berfungsi baik dan aman digunakan. Kesimpulannya penelitian ini yakni perangkat CT Scan Multislice GE Healthcare di RSU Kertha Usada beroperasi sesuai dengan regulasi BAPETEN.

Abstract

CT Urography is a diagnostic imaging technique used to evaluate the urinary tract system, including the kidneys, ureters, and bladder. This study aims to analyze CT Urography examinations in patients with clinical hydronephrosis at RS TK II Pelamonia Makassar to assess the effectiveness of imaging techniques in detecting obstructions, kidney stones, tumors, and the severity of the condition. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The study results indicate that CT Urography examination with a slice thickness of 5 mm provides clear visualization of hydronephrosis conditions. The examination procedure at RS TK II Pelamonia Makassar follows standard operating procedures (SOP), although slight differences in imaging parameters were observed compared to theoretical guidelines. In conclusion, CT Urography is an effective imaging modality for detecting hydronephrosis pathology and assists in making more accurate medical decisions.

Abstract

Background: This research on the performance testing of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine was conducted using performance tests on three different parameters at Kasih Ibu Hospital Saba. This research aims to determine the performance of the MRI machine at Kasih Ibu Hospital Saba in Bali Province and establish baseline data for future testing. Method: This type of research is quantitative and uses a survey approach. The tools and materials used in this study are a 0.35 Tesla MRI machine, an ACR phantom, and a head coil. Data were collected by conducting nine MRI performance testing procedures using the ACR (2015) guidelines and then analyzed using international standards issued by ACR (2015). Result: In the visual checklist testing, all observed parameters were over 30 days and functioned well, For the Artifact Evaluation test, the author evaluated all scanned images and found no artifacts. The author analyzed the measurements from the first slice of T1W and T2W images for the Slice Thickness Accuracy test. The measurement results for the T1W image were 4.6mm, and for the T2W image, they were 5.57mm. The Slice Thickness Accuracy testing standard set by ACR in 2015 is 5mm ± 0.7mm. Therefore, based on the measurement results from the T1W and T2W images, the MRI machine at Kasih Ibu Saba Hospital meets the established international standards. Conclusion: Based on the results of the visual checklist test, the following results were obtained: all parameters on the visual checklist functioned well during the 30-day observation. Meanwhile, the two tests conducted with the phantom on the MRI machine at Kasih Ibu Hospital Saba the following results are: the artifact evaluation test and the slice thickness accuracy test met the international standards set by ACR in 2015.
