Abstract

Padi Baas Selem memiliki kandungan Antosianin tinggi. Pengembangan padi Baas Selem untuk meningkatkan daya hasil sudah dilakukan dengan sinar gamma. Seleksi pada generasi kelima harus dilakukan guna mengetahui kemajuan genetik. Seleksi akan efektif dan efisien jika karakter memiliki heritabilitas tinggi dan keragaman genetik luas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui heritabilitas dan keragaman genetik karakter galur mutan padi Baas Selem generasi kelima. Penelitian eksperimental ini di laksanakan di lahan sawah Desa Saribaye, Kecamatan Lingsar dimulai bulan April hingga Agustus 2024. Rancangan percobaan yang diberlakukan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) menggunakan 6 perlakuan (6 Galur Mutan Padi Baas Selem) yang diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Analisis ragam taraf 5% digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian mengindikasikan keragaman genetik sempit pada umur berbunga, tinggi tanaman, bobot 1000 butir umur panen dan panjang malai. Keragaman genetik sedang pada lebar daun bendera, panjang daun bendera, bobot gabah berisi per rumpun, jumlah gabah hampa per malai dan jumlah gabah berisi per malai. Keragaman genetik luas pada jumlah anakan non produktif/rumpun dan jumlah anakan produktif/rumpun. Heritabilitas tinggi pada lebar daun bendera, panjang, jumlah gabah isi per malai, umur berbunga, panjang malai dan jumlah gabah hampa per malai. Heritabilitas sedang pada umur panen, bobot 1000 butir, bobot gabah/rumpun, dan jumlah anakan produktif/rumpun. Heritabilitas rendah pada jumlah anakan non produktif/rumpun. Karakter jumlah anakan produktif per rumpun, jumlah anakan non produktif per rumpun, panjang malai, jumlah gabah berisi per malai, jumlah gabah hampa per malai, bobot 1000 butir, dan bobot gabah berisi/rumpun memiliki pengaruh terhadap hasil gabah sehingga perlu lebih diperhatikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui heritabilitas arti luas karakter hasil dan komponen hasil varietas padi lokal yang ditanam pada dataran rendah. Percobaan dilakukan pada bulan Mei sampai dengan Oktober 2024, bertempat di Lahan Sawah Dataran Rendah dengan ketinggian 172 m dpl, Desa Nyurlembang, Kecamatan Narmada, Kabupaten Lombok Barat, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental di lapangan. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 15 perlakuan varietas padi lokal, masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 45 unit percobaan. Data dianalisis menggunakan ANOVA pada taraf 5% dan dihitung heritabilitas arti luas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan heritabilitas arti luas kriteria heritabilitas tinggi diperoleh pada tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah anakan produktif (per rumpun), jumlah anakan total (per rumpun), panjang malai (cm), jumlah gabah berisi (per malai), jumlah gabah hampa (per malai), bobot 100 butir (g), berat gabah per rumpun (g), umur berbunga (hari), umur panen (hss), dan hasil (ton/ha). Jumlah anakan non produktif (per rumpun) memiliki heritabilitas sedang. Heritabilitas tinggi pada beberapa karakter hasil dan komponen hasil yang diperoleh dapat dijadikan tetua gen pul dalam perakitan varietas padi sesuai tujuan yang dikehendaki.

Abstract

Mbawi merupakan salah satu desa di Kabupaten Dompu, NTB yang memiliki potensi perikanan berlimpah, baik dari laut maupun tambak. Namun demikian, potensi tersebut belum dioptimalkan oleh masyarakat, hasil tangkapan ikan masih diperjualbelikan dalam bentuk segar dengan harga murah. Jadi, potensi yang dimiliki belum mampu menyejahterakan masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, akan dilakukan pendampingan terutama kepada ibu rumah tangga yang banyak mempunyai waktu luang untuk meningkatkan nilai jual produk ikan dengan mengolahnya menjadi abon. Juga mitra yang lain yaitu karang taruna yang selama ini belum banyak berkegiatan, yang diharapkan dapat membantu para ibu untuk pengembangan usaha. Ikan yang dipilih adalah ikan bandeng yang jumlah produksinya terbanyak, dan diolah menjadi abon karena produk ini awet dalam waktu yang cukup lama. Pelatihan yang diberikan sudah menggunakan teknologi tepat guna seperti mesin cold storage, mesin peniris minyak, mesin penggoreng, dan mesin pencacah daging ikan. Evaluasi hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa 91,3% mitra mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan  adanya peningkatan jumlah warga yang faham tentang gizi yang terkandung dalam ikan bandeng, dan sebanyak 90,9% mitra mengalami peningkatan kemampuan membuat abon ikan bandeng. Selain itu, peserta sangat paham dengan pelatihan yang telah dilakukan diberikan, baik materi maupun praktiknya. Analisis Harga menunjukan bahwa ikan bandeng segar 5 kg seharga Rp. 140.000,- setelah diolah menjadi abon memperoleh keuntungan sebesar Rp. 206729,05,-

Abstract

Paper ini membahas pentingnya meningkatkan kesadaran petani dan mendorong integrasi praktik pertanian cerdas dalam konteks pertanian konservasi. Menyadari perlunya menyelaraskan kearifan pertanian tradisional dengan teknologi mutakhir, kegiatan in menekankan penilaian terhadap praktik konservasi yang ada, penggabungan strategis teknik pertanian presisi dalam pertanian konservasi dan memberikan pemahaman tentang konservasi keanekaragaman hayati berupa tanaman padi merah. Hal ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya perencanaan yang presisi dan sistem irigasi cerdas dalam meningkatkan efisiensi dan keberlanjutan. Kegiatan ini juga menekankan pendidikan dan keterlibatan masyarakat sebagai elemen penting untuk menumbuhkan penerimaan dan pemahaman di kalangan petani. Dengan menyoroti potensi manfaat dan menekankan sinergi antara pertanian cerdas dan konservasi, inisiatif ini berupaya mendorong perubahan transformatif menuju lanskap pertanian yang lebih berkelanjutan dan memadai secara teknologi. Untuk mendukung tercapainya konsep integrasi pertanian cerdas dalam pertanian konservasi dan konservasi keanekaragaman hayati, tim peneliti Universitas Mataram melaksanakan promosi kepada petani yang berada pada Keluran Manorang Salo, Kecamatan Marioriawa, Kabupateng Soppeng, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to study the adaptation and yield stability of red rice genotype obtained from back cross selection in three different growing environments.  Twenty genotypes of red rice obtained from back cross selection and three parents (Piong, Angka, Kenya) were tested for their potential yield in three different growing environments in the rainy season 2006/2007 and dry season 2007. The experiment used randomized completely block design with three replications in each environment. Each genotype was grown on 5.5 m x 1.25 m plot with plant spacing of 25 cm x 25 cm and only 1 plant per clump. Irrigation in upland was based on the availability of rain water, water management in paddy's field followed a normal lowland rice irrigation technique, and in drought environment, soil water content was maintained  at 25 - 30% of soil available water. To analysis the  adaptation and the yield stability, analysis of variant AMMI model and Biplot were used. The results indicated that the genotype showing the most stable yield was G5(A4), and this genotype produced 3.60 grain yield ton/ha. Genotype having special adaptation in drought stressed environment were G2(A1) and G3(A2) with average grain yield of 2.93 and 2.11 ton/ha, respectively. Genotype having special adaptation in upland environment were G1(A0) and G4(A3) with average grain yield of 4.43 and 4.44 ton/ha, respectively. Genotype having special adaptation in technical irrigation area was G17(P15) with an average grain yield of 4.92 ton/ha.   Key words:  Adaptation, stability, red rice

Abstract

ABSTRACTSuccessful castor (Ricinus communis L.) cropping depends on the reliability of production technique. Branching is a useful agronomic trait because infloresence developed at each branch’s terminal. Pruning is considered as an important technique for branching stimulation. This study attempted to elucidate the effect of main stem pruning on the yield of Beaq Amor local variety of castor (Ricinus communis L.) with short cultivation system. The experiment was conducted on dry land area of Amor-Amor, North Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara during February-July 2011 and was arranged in a single-factor randomized complete block design with three replications. The treatments were four types of pruning (i.e. no pruning, main stem pruning at 30 days after planting, 45 days after planting, and 60 days after planting). The results showed that the effect of pruning was significant on dry seed yield and was not significant on kernel oil content. Pruning at 30 days old and 45 days old plant yielded in the highest dry seed weight (374.9-387.8 g tree-1 or 943.0-974.3 kg ha-1) with oil content of 62.2%.Keywords: branching, canopy, dry seed, Ricinus communis L.

Abstract

Study on the effect of heterosis is important in order to find potential parent for creating a new superior variety. This research was aimed to study the phenotipic expression of F1 and heterosis on agronomics characters some crossed red rice. Experiment was done at a paddy field in Nyurlembang, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara during August–November 2016, and it was arranged in a randomized block design of 12 genotypes as treatment with five replications. Genotypes evaluated were Fatmawati, IPB3S, G9(F2BC4P19-36), F1-Fatmawati/Inpago Unram-I, F1-Fatmawati/G9, F1-IPB 3S/Inpago Unram-I, F1-IPB 3S/G9, F1-Inpago Unram-I/Fatmawati, F1-G9/Fatmawati, F1-Inpago Unram-I/IPB 3S, and F1-G9/IPB 3S. The results showed that based on the F1 phenotipic performances and heterosis on grain weight per hills, yield, 1000 grain weight, number of grain per panicle, length of panicle, number of productive tiller per hill, and time of flowering, there were three genotypes that had a semi ideal type of red rice with high yield potential. Abstract

This study aims to determine the morphological characteristics of local rice grains and rice from Lombok, Sumbawa, East Kalimantan, and North Kalimantan. This research was conducted in May-October 2024, in lowland rice fields and laboratories. The method used was experimental method with RAK 15 treatments 3 replications. The results showed that there were 6 functional local rice varieties, including 4 local black rice varieties namely G1 (Baas Selem), G3 (Ketan Hitam Tampak Siring), G8 (Padi Hitam Kalimantan Utara), and G15 (Padi Hitam Kaltim) and 2 local red rice varieties namely G4 (Beak Ganggas) and G7 (Padi Merah Kalimantan Utara). Local rice varieties that have hair on the tip of the grain are G4 (Beak Ganggas), G6 (Padi Alas), G11 (Ambuyu Merah), dan G15 (Padi Hitam Kaltim). Local variety G4 (Beak Ganggas) showed the highest 100-grain weight of 3,98 gr, so it can be used as an elder in breeding programs to increase yield.

Abstract

Literacy is a fundamental skill for elementary school students to develop critical thinking, comprehend information, and express ideas effectively. However, observations at SDN 1 Dasan Geria revealed that several third-grade students still struggled with reading and writing. This community service program aimed to enhance students’ literacy skills using the Reading-Discussing-Creating-Writing (RDCW) method. The method consisted of five stages: Read Me A Book, Reading Aloud, Smart Book Review, Creating Project-Based Works, and Writing Stories. The program utilized 1,000 high-quality reading materials, mostly children’s stories provided by the National Library of Indonesia. The results demonstrated significant improvement in students’ reading, writing, critical thinking, and creativity. Furthermore, the activities positively influenced students’ learning motivation, self-confidence, social collaboration, and character development. Thus, the RDCW method is proven to be an effective and sustainable literacy strategy that supports the implementation of the School Literacy Movement in elementary education.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the success rate of hybridization and the heterosis level in rice resulting from the cross between the national variety IPB3S and the local variety Beak Ganggas. To achieve this goal, the following research activities were conducted: A) Single and reciprocal cross hybridization between IPB3S × Beak Ganggas and Beak Ganggas × IPB3S. B) Evaluation of the F1 generation and its parents using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four treatments and six replications, followed by the calculation of heterosis and heterobeltiosis values. The hybridization was carried out in the greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram, while the evaluation of the hybridization results was conducted in the rice fields of Nyurlembang Village, Narmada District, West Lombok Regency. The research was conducted from February to September 2025. The results showed that the percentage of filled grains from the single cross IPB3S × Beak Ganggas was 68.61%, while the percentage from the reciprocal cross (Beak Ganggas × IPB3S) was 37.28%. Based on heterosis and heterobeltiosis values, the F1 hybrid of IPB3S/Beak Ganggas has strong potential to be developed as a promising ideal-type variety, due to its superior combination of traits such as earlier flowering time, shorter plant height, and higher number of filled grains and grain weight per clump compared to its parent lines.
