Abstract

Potensi lokal dalam memenuhi kebutuhan dalam bertani sangat rendah diperhatikan. Sumber daya lokal bila dimanfaatkan secara tepat maka dapat memenuhi kebutuhan sehari-hari. Pertanian berskala rumahan dapat ditopang dengan sumber daya lokal. Salah satu sumber daya lokal di Desa Akar-akar adalah tongkol jagung kering, sekam padi, tanaman mimba, rumput teki dan lainnya. Sumberdaya tersebut dapat diolah menjadi produk yang dapat menunjang kegiatan budidaya pertanian berskala rumahan. Inovasi teknologi yang memanfaatkan sumber daya lokal ini dapat berupa pembuatan pupuk PGPR(Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria), biochar, dan pestisida nabati. Tongkol jagung dan sekam padi dapat menjadi biochar; rumput teki dapat menjadi pupuk PGPR; dan tanaman mimba dapat diolah menjadi pestisida nabati. Inovasi tersebut dapat memberikan dampak positif baik bagi masyarakat maupun lingkungan. Pemanfaatan ini dapat mempermudah penyediaan sarana produksi berskala rumahan yang murah dan praktis.

Abstract

Elephant food yam (Amorphophallus muelleri Blume) is an important tuber plant that is grown in most of the tropical countries including Indonesia and is a very profitable export commodity. Soil nutrients availability is one of the most important factors that determine the production of elephant food yam plants. However, there is no single nutrient source, either from inorganic fertilizers or organic fertilizers or biological fertilizers, which is able to meet all the nutrient needs of the plants grown. Therefore, integrated nutrient management (INM) of elephant food yam plants seems to be a way out to maintain sustainable production and increase profitability. This paper reviews the results of research on various issues of INM-based production management for elephant food yam plants and analyzes the extent of research on the use of INM both in Indonesia and abroad. The benefits of integrated nutrient management are well documented for vegetable crops. However, it is still very little available for elephant food yam plants, especially in Indonesia. Integrated nutrient management (INM) is a very important technological innovation to be applied to elephant food yam cultivation. Elephant food yam is a high nutrient consumeplant, so a wise and precise combination of inorganic and organic fertilizers as well as bio-fertilizer will result in sustainable and sinergistic use of soil nutrients of elephant foot yams. Therefore, recommendations for research need for INM of elephant food yam should be carried out in order to increase the production of it in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memetakan kelas kesesuaian lahan dalam pengembangan komoditi baru pertanian yang sedang menjadi primadona dan peluang usaha, dan tidak kalah penting mendukung program konservasi lahan hutan, yaitu umbi porang (Amarphopallus ancophillus) di Kabupaten Bima. Penelitian ini berguna sebagai bahan informasi dan rekomendasi kebijakan terkait kesesuaian lahan serta dapat dijadikan dasar pengembangan budidaya porang (Amarphopallus ancophillus) pada lahan kering. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Kabupaten Bima. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu  metode survei dan metode pengumpulan data sekunder berupa peta dan data spasial dari instansi yang terkait. Pengelompokan kelas kesesuaian lahan pada setiap unit lahan menggunakan sistim overlay atau tumpang tepat dengan berpedoman pada kriteria kesesuaian lahan tanaman porang (Amarphopallus ancophillus). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas kesesuaian lahan kering cukup sesuai (S2) adalah 3.487 ha; kelas kesesuaian lahan kering sesuai marginal (S3) adalah 16.683 ha; dan tidak sesuai (N) adalah 469 ha. Dengan demikian,  potensi lahan kering untuk pengembangan tanaman porang (Amarphopallus ancophillus) di Kabupaten Bima sangat besar yaitu 20.170 ha atau 98,43 % dari total keseluruhan lahan kering di Kabupaten Bima.This research is aimed at mapping class suitability of land for Bulbs Porang (Amorphopallus ancophillus) as a new agricultural commodity to develop, which rises in demand, becomes potential commodity and moreover, supports land conservation program in Regency of Bima. This research is beneficial as information and policy recommendation relate to land suitability. This research conducted as survey method and secondary data collection method such as map and spatial data of related institutions. Class grouping of land suitability for each land unit used overlay system based on land suitability criteria of Bulbs Porang (Amarphopallus ancophillus). Research result showed that the class suitability of dry land was quite suitable (S2), approximately 3.487 ha; class suitability of dry land as marginal (S3) was 16.683 ha; and non-suitable result was 469 ha. Thus, dry land result was very big to cover 20.170 ha or 98.43 % of total dry land in the Regency of Bima.

Abstract

Kadar brix batang sorgum berkisar 13-18 % sementara produktivitas sorgum di lahan kering umumnya masih relatif rendah (1-3 ton/ha). Penelitian ini bertujuan mencari cara meningkatkan kadar brix dan produktivitas sorgum di tanah pasiran di lahan kering. Percobaan menggunakan metode eksperimental, dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok faktorial terdiri atas Phonska 3 aras, yaitu P0 (kontrol), P150, P300 dan Fitosan 2 aras, yaitu F0 (kontrol) dan F5. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 kali sehingga terdapat 6 kombinasi perlakuan, yaitu kontrol (P0F0), tanpa pupuk Phonska dan Fitosan 5 ml/liter (P0F5), pupuk Phonska 150 kg/ha dan tanpa Fitosan (P150F0), pupuk Phonska 150 kg/ha dan Fitosan 5 ml/liter (P150F5), pupuk Phonska 300 kg/ha dan tanpa Fitosan (P300F0), pupuk Phonska 300 kg/ha dan Fitosan 5 ml/liter (P300F5) dengan ukuran petak 3,5 m x 5 m. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis keragaman (ANOVA), dilanjutkan Uji BNJ 5% terhadap perlakuan yang berbeda nyata. Hasil: pemberian pupuk Phonska dan Fitosan dapat meningkatkan kadar brix sehingga mencapai titik optimum pada umur 86 HST yaitu 19,34%. Pemupukan Phonska 300 kg/ha dan ZPT Fitosan 5ml/liter memberikan hasil yang lebih baik terhadap hasil tanaman sorgum sebesar 3,40 t/ha untuk Phonska dan 2,92 t/ha untuk Fitosan.

Abstract

Penggunaan biochar dan biokompos bisa menjadi salah satu solusi dari penambahan bahan organik dalam budidaya tanaman kedelai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran yang baik terhadap peranan biochar dan biokompos terhadap pertumbuhan, hasil, dan serapan N. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Aplikasi biochar pada tanaman kedelai berpengaruh terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah polong hampa, jumlah polong berisi, berat 100 biji, dan serapan N dibandingkan dengan tanpa aplikasi biochar. (2) Aplikasi biokompos  berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman kedelai umur 2,3, 4 dan 5 minggu setelah tanam, berat berangkasan kering, berat biji, jumlah polong hampa dan jumlah polong berisi. (3) Biokompos dengan bentuk cairan dosis 2,5 gram per tanaman berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah polong berisi dan jumlah polong hampa tanaman kedelai. (4) Biokompos cair dosis 5 gram per tanaman berpengaruh terhadap berat berangkasan kering dan tinggi tanaman umur 2 MST. Abstract

Evaluation of changeable agregat stability was done almost one year after application of biochar during rainy season 2010/2011 of three cyles maize planting in dryland of North Lombok. Three points of undisturbed soil samples in depth 0-20 cm were collected one month after maize harvest of previously addedbiochar land. Site of soil sample was treated by application of organic matter consisting of biochar coconut hust (BTK), biochar cow manure (BKS), one season application of manure (PKA), each season aplication of manure (PkB) and control (K : without soil amandement). The results showed that after one year application of biochar increased the limited value stability of soil agregat. The value was 61,37% and 61,18% for BTK and BTS, respectivel, while for treatment of PkA, PkB dan control gave value 58,44%, 66,62% and 57,11%. Increasing stability of soil agregat after application of organic soil amandement positively correlated with i the increase of soil organic and water soil retention. Therefore, experiment suggested that modification is needed for application biochar and manure in long period of maize cropping pattern in dryland of North Lombok

Abstract

Improved management of dryland agriculture could be one strategy to increase cassava production in order to meet national demand particularly for food and bioetanol industry. A field experiment was carried out to evaluate the influence of biomass modification addition (biochar, cattle manure, and corn-straw) on the growth and yield of cassava grown on sandy soils of northern Lombok. The treatments tested were: without addition of organic biomas as control (M0); the straw was put in the lowest part of rhyzoshere, biochar in the middle and subsequently followed by manure mixed with soil on top (M1); biochar, cattle manure, straw were mixed thoroughly within rhyzosphre (M2); biochar and cattle manure were only mixed with soil (M3); the manure was put down in the bottom part of rhyzoshere, straw in the middle and subsequently followed by biochar mixed with soil on top (M4). Results of the research showed that modification of biomass addition (biochar, manure and corn-straw) within soil increased significantly the growth and yiled as a results of better nutrient retention compared to soil without organic addition. The yield was increased by 32 and 33% at M1 and M4 respectivelly and reached closed to 40% at treatments of both M2 and M3 (27 t/ha)

Abstract

Abstract: Research on the application of silicate fertilizer and manure to growth, brix level, and yield of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) was investigated to find ways to increase sorghum productivity in the dry land. The research method used was an experimental method that was set in a randomized block design consisting of 9 treatments namely control (Si0P0), without silicate and manure, 5 tones/ha (Si0P5), without silicate and manure 10 tones/ha (Si0P10), silicate 100 kg/ha and without manure (Si100P0), silicate 100 kg/ha and manure 5 tones/ha (Si100P5), silicate 100 kg/ha and manure 10 tones/ha (Si100P10), silicate 200 kg/ha and without manure (Si200P0), silicate 200 kg/ha and manure 5 tones/ha (Si200P5), and silicate 200 kg/ha and manure 10 tones/ha (Si200P10). Each treatment was replicated 3 times and the size of the plot was 6x6 m2. The results indicated that the application of silicate fertilizer and manure could significantly increase yield and brix levels. Application of silicate fertilizer of 200 kg/ha and manure 5 tonnes/ha gave higher results for the production of sorghum was 6056 kg/ha. However, the growth of sorghum was not affected significantly to the growth of sorghum plants. Keywords: Silicate Fertilizer (Si); Manure; Sorghum Plant

Abstract

Research on the role of biochar, inorganic and biological fertilizers was aimed to increase crop yield and brix value of sorghum in dryland. This research was conducted from October 2020 to February 2021 at The Teaching Farm Soil Science Study Program, Akar-Akar Village, Bayan, North Lombok. The method used in this research is an experimental method, with the experimental plot in the field. The experiment consisted of two factors, was designed using a split plot design. Biochar as the main plot with 2 treatment levels, b0 (without biochar) dan b1 (biochar 20 ton/ha); combination of fertilization as subplots with 4 treatment levels, namely p0 (without fertilizer), p1 (200 kg/ha NPK + 150 kg/ha Agrosil), p2 (20 ml/liter PGPR), and p3 (200 kg/ha NPK + 150 kg/ha Agrosil + 20 ml/L  PGPR). The research showed that interaction between biochar and combination of fertilizers is not significant, but the combination of inorganic and biological fertilizers significantly increased sorghum's productivity and brix value. The combination of inorganic and biological fertilizer (p3) is the best treatment to increase weights 1000 seeds (31.29 g), yield (25.96 kg/plot), and brix value (14.55%)
