Abstract

The generator is the primary component in electricity generation and requires a protection system from internal and external interference that occurs. This study considers how to improve the performance of relays in power plants. A model of a generator that is executed in a fault condition to reset the protective equipment, namely Reverse Power Relay (RPR). The study is intended to model the state of internal and external fault on the generator by applying a working principle of RPR. The model is designed to anticipate the actual fault in the generator. The simulation results obtained output such as; active power, current and time delay relay. The RPR reset of the generator system is applied to the generator in Riau Power. The RPR is installed on the generator is -612 kW, equivalent to 30%, the relay delay time is 0.2 seconds. Based on standardization, the return of power reaches a maximum of -12.66 MW, which is captured 50% with a maximum replacement of 30 seconds. Results of the RPR simulation have been validated with the IEEE standard at a time delay that corresponds to the percentage of reverse power settings installed at 6% and a time delay of 0.6%. Finally, to maximize the protection system on the generator, adjust 50% to 95% of the installed settings. It can be said that the system is able to increase generator protection and minimize the impact of internal or external fault.

Abstract

An aerator is a device that utilized to produce dissolved oxygen in water through a diffusion process. Generally, the aerators employed by farmers are operated manually by an operator. The design and utilization of a smart device such as the Zelio Smart Relay is one of the objectives of this article. With the use of smart relays, it is expected that the presence of operator can be eliminated and able to reduce operational cost. The type of aerator discussed in this article is a dual turbine aerator. Each turbine has 6 blades. In order to have the smart relay to operate properly, at least 2 (two) sensors are needed as inputs, namely the light intensity and the temperature sensor. Furthermore, dissolved oxygen levels in water are categorized as high (30 mg / L) if the light intensity is higher than 100,000 lux and the temperature lower than 350 C. It shows in the results that the implementation of aerator has the capabilty to increase dissolved oxygen from 8 mg / L - 14.4 mg / L in 45 minutes, therefore the quantity and the quality of dissolved oxygen required by shrimp farming can be fulfilled properly.BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRACT: Aerator adalah salah satu alat bantu yang berfungsi untuk memproduksi oksigen terlarut dalam air melalui proses difusi. Sampai saat ini, aerator yang dimanfaatkan oleh para petani pada umumnya masih bersifat manual dengan cara dioperasikan dan dikendalikan oleh tanaga operator (manusia). Perancangan dan pemanfaatan teknologi cerdas seperti Zelio Smart Relay merupakan salah satu bahasan pada artikel ini. Dengan adanya pemanfaatan smart relay tersebut diharapkan pekerjaan operator pada pertanian tambak udang dapat dipermudah dan mampu menekan biaya operasional. Jenis aerator yang dibahas pada artikel ini adalah aerator turbine ganda yang memiliki 6 buah sudu di tiap tiap kincirnya. Agar sistem kendali yang dirancang pada smart relay beroperasi dengan baik, maka diperlukan sedikitnya 2 (dua) buah sensor yaitu sensor intensitas cahaya dan sensor suhu yang terukur pada kolam (air). Selanjutnya kadar oksigen terlarut dalam air dikategorikan tinggi (30 mg/L) apabila intensitas cahaya > 100.000 lux dan untuk suhu < 350 C. Dari hasil penerapan aerator di kolam dapat diketahui bahwa aerator dengan penambahan Zelio Smart Relay ini dapat bekerja sesuai dengan perancangan, yaitu dapat meningkatkan oksigen terlarut dari 8 mg/L – 14.4 mg/L dalam 45 menit, dengan demikian kuantitas oksigen terlarut yang dibutuhkan oleh pertanian udang dapat dipenuhi dengan baik.

Abstract

Sistem daya listrik memiliki pembangkitan, sistem transmisi, sistem distribusi, sistem proteksi, dan beban. Sistem pembangkitan tenaga listrik merupakan elemen yang digunakan sebagai objek simulasi ketika terjadi gangguan pada transformator daya. Teknik cerdas yang akan digunakan adalah teknik hibrid yaitu gabungan Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan (JST) dan logika Fuzzy yang dikenal dengan ANFIS. Tujuan tulisan ini adalah mengusulkan suatu model gangguan menggunakan relai diferensial pada transformator daya untuk sistem perlindungan via Matlab/Simulink. Simulasi ini akan dianalisis performa relai diferensial untuk transformator daya yang dijalankan terhadap gangguan internal dan eksternal. Teknik ANFIS ini dapat berkontribusi dalam proses deteksi gangguan dengan cara aman dan andal. Pelatihan ANFIS diharapkan akan dapat memecahkan permasalahan identifikasi gangguan pada transformator daya berkapasitas 25 MVA.  Hasil yang diperoleh dari simulasi ini adalah dapat memberi rekomendasi  yang akurat dan efisien dari teknik yang telah dikembangkan menggunakan teknik ANFIS. Hasil keluaran yang diharapkan memberikan koreksi galat yang kecil dan mendekati nilai yang baik. Dan akhirnya, dengan penerapan teknik ANFIS ini dapat memberikan peramalan pada sistem transformator daya untuk meminimalisir gangguan pada transformator daya.

Abstract

This research develops and implements methods for calculating lighting systems for classrooms in the Khairul Ummah Boarding School. The lumen is used to determine the number of luminaires needed to improve lighting quality following SNI 6197:2011. The number of luminaires obtained from this study was entered into the DIALux Evo 8.1 software. The results obtained of this study indicate that the lighting in the classroom at Khairul Ummah Boarding School didn’t reach the recommended standard, the direct measurement results of the average lighting level of class A was 10.79 lux, while the class X-IPA-3 was 11.66 lux. To improve this condition, class A requires 15 luminaires, and X-IPA-3 requires 12 luminaires. The difference in the results obtained from the two calculations for class A is 0.6%, and X-IPA-3 is 3.4%. Investment costs are needed to improve the lighting system in these classes worth Rp.2,700,000.00 to provide 27 lamps.

Abstract

This study is proposed to calculate and analyze the level of reliability of the 13.8 kV distribution system. To calculate the reliability index based on the reliability index of the value of the failure that occurred. The method used throughout this study is the Reliability Index Assessment (RIA) when this method takes into account momentary interruption. The distribution network is considered as the object of this study has six feeders. Based on blackout data obtained, the reliability index becomes smaller and can be distinguished between permanent and temporary disruptions. The calculation results show the reliability index of SAIDI, SAIDI, and MAIFI based on the type of disturbance; the results of this calculation will be compared with SPLN and IEEE. A comparison of the results of the calculation of SAIFI values from the six feeders analyzed all meet the SPLN and IEEE rules. However, in one of the feeders, the SAIDI index exceeds the established standard, which is 24 hours/year/customer, with the SPLN regulation being 21 hours/year/customer, and the IEEE standard is 2.3 hours/customer/year. And finally, the results of an analysis of the MAIFI index for all feeders meet the IEEE standard of 5 times/year/customers.

Abstract

Lighting on an excellent classroom will create comfort in every activity is very important. The installation and availability of light points and types of views that are good and right can affect the lighting conditions in a classroom. The problem is the installation of lights and types of lights that are not following the standards used in Indonesia, and it will cause harm to humans in the form of disturbances in eye function. The purpose of this community service is to improve proper lighting technology in several classes in MA and MTs of the Islamic Boarding School at Khairul Ummah. Then, improve the quality of light and lighting in a few the classroom based on software. The method that will be implemented in this community service is designing and techniques of lighting that are good using the software, namely DIALux Evo 8.1.

Abstract

Lack of electricity in the rural areas is quite limited to farmers in the lemongrass plantation in Siabu, Salo, Kampar. Their problem provides an idea to assemble solar panels for lighting supplies for lemongrass farmers. The method used for this activity is; field survey, assembly, calibration, and testing. In the test of the battery charging process has been carried out. Batteries charging are utilized 20 Ah and 60 Ah. The solar panels used are 2*50 Wp, Solar Charger Controller, battery, and inverter. The battery of 20 Ah load test results has an electricity of 30 Watt. The maximum battery voltage measured at 12.8 Volt with a load duration of 4 hours. The loading test is also carried out for a battery of 60 Ah has the same load that is a 30 Watt. In this test, the voltage is measured 12.8 Volt, a duration of electricity use for 11 hours.

Abstract

Serai wangi adalah alternatif dari sekian bahan baku untuk menghasilkan minyak atsiri. Minyak atsiri dapat berfungsi sebagai campuran kosmetik, aromaterapi, obat-obatan, suplemen, dan lainnya. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan inovasi alat penyulingan minyak atsiri dalam bentuk produk teknologi tepat guna untuk meningkatkan hasil produksi minyak atsiri bagi petani di Desa Siabu, Kecamatan Salo, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau. Masyarakat juga dapat mengetahui dan memahami, serta meningkatkan mutu rendemen agar kualitas minyak menjadi lebih baik sekaligus bemanfaat bagi masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari survei lapangan, analisis situasi, rancangan alat, pemasangan alat, dan pemantauan alat pengumpulan data, dan analisis sesuai dengan teori-teori yang dikutip untuk memperoleh informasi. Dalam penyulingan minyak serai wangi terdiri dari tiga cara yakni; penyulingan menggunakan sistem rebusan, penyulingan menggunakan air dan uap, penyulingan menggunakan uap langsung. Hasil penyulingan serai wangi menjadi minyak atsiri dengan kapasitas 130kg per-ketel dapat menghasilkan minyak atsiri 1,3 liter

Abstract

Salah satu tanaman penghasil minyak atsiri dan telah dibudidayakan di Desa Siabu, Kecamatan Salo, Kabupaten Kampar, Provinsi Riau adalah tanaman serai wangi. Petani serai wangi melakukan penyulingan langsung untuk dapat menghasilkan minyak atsiri yang telah dijalankan sekitar dua tahun. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan hasil inovasi dalam bentuk teknologi tepat guna (TTG) alat penyulingan minyak serai wangi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah sebagai berikut: 1. Memantau sistem kerja alat penyulingan sehingga dihasilkan produksi minyak serai wangi yang baik; 2. Menangani manajemen hasil produksi minyak serai wangi dari alat penyulingan dan 3. Mengevaluasi kualitas minyak serai wangi yang dihasilkan sehingga dapat menembus pasar. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan dengan melakukan sosialisasi teknik penyulingan, distilasi minyak atsiri dari serai wangi, dan pengujian karakteristik minyak atsiri dari serai wangi. Berdasarkan hasil uji dan pengamatan, minyak atsiri yang dihasilkan memiliki karakteristik fisik dan kimia yang telah sesuai dengan yang dipersyaratkan. Karakteristik minyak atsiri serai wangi menghasilkan minyak atsiri dengan berat jenis 0,86 mg/L, viscositas pada suhu 45oC sebesar 2,41x10-6 N.S/ m2, angka asam lemak bebas (ALB) 1,1% dan kadar air 3,1%.

Abstract

Novel intelligent technique is a combination of fuzzy and neural network techniques that can be used to classify faults in electric power system protection. There have two problems in the protection system, which are: undesired tripping and fail to operate. Loss of power supply to relays and circuit breakers or failure in protective devices may cause failures in protection system. Construction of neural networks to explore fact to identify fault component is from control center. The objective of this paper is to develop novel concept for classification failures protection system are using Fuzzy Neural Network technique. Methodology consists of Neural Network and Fuzzy. The Neural network is also conscientious for estimating degree of membership in system components from corresponding area in classification of disorders. The input variables of neural network formed of binary numbers. Value of 1 indicates if fault occurs and value of 0 indicates no-fault occurs. Fuzzy relations will represent by fuzzy. These Fuzzy relations can be represented by fuzzy diagram consisting of three sets of node that would be considered to represent components, relays and circuit breakers.
