Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify the effects of organizational commitment and training satisfaction on the intention to stay in Novo Club with job satisfaction as the mediating variable. This research is categorized as an explanatory study as it explains the causal relationship between variables through hypothesis testing. The respondents are 83 members of the first batch of Novo Club. In order to identify both direct and indirect effects, path analysis was incorporated. This study finds that organizational commitment and job satisfaction significantly influence the intention to stay and that training satisfaction has no significant effect on the said intention. Furthermore, organizational commitment indirectly affects the intention to stay through job satisfaction, and training satisfaction also indirectly influences the intention to stay through job satisfaction.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to assess and explain the effects of (1) Green Recruitment and Selections on Employee Green Behavior, (2) Green Training and Development on Employee Green Behavior, (3) Employee Green Involvement on Employee Green Behavior, and (4) Green Transformational Leadership on Employee Green Behavior in the context of Grand Ranggonang Sekayu hotel. Using saturated sampling, 51 employees of the hotel were selected as the respondents of this quantitative explanatory study. The results of the multiple linear regression suggest that (1) Green Recruitment and Selections positively an insignificantly influences Employee Green Behavior, (2) Green Training and Development negatively and insignificantly affects Employee Green Behavior, (3) Employee Green Involvement positively and significantly impacts Employee Green Behavior, and (4) Green Transformational Leadership positively and insignificantly affects Employee Green Behavior.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji dan menjelaskan: 1) Pengaruh Green Recruitment and Selections terhadap Employee Green Behavior; 2) Pengaruh Green Training and Development terhadap Employee Green Behavior; 3) Pengaruh Employee Green Involvement terhadap Employee Green Behavior; 4) Pengaruh Green Transformational Leadership terhadap Employee Green Behavior. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu explanatory research dengan metode kuantitatif.  Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi linear dan hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: 1) Green Recruitment and Selections memiliki hubungan yang positif tidak signifikan terhadap Employee Green Behavior; 2) Green Training and Development memiliki hubungan yang negatif tidak signifikan terhadap Employee Green Behavior; 3) Employee Green Involvement memiliki hubungan yang positif signifikan terhadap Employee Green Behavior; 4) Green Transformational Leadership memiliki hubungan yang positif tidak signifikan terhadap Employee Green Behavior.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to identify and provide solutions to the problems faced by Kotento by creating a strategy map. The map was designed using a Balanced Scorecard approach aimed at increasing the total revenue of the company. The results of the Balanced Scorecard were then compiled into Key Performance Indicators to be applied by the company's management. This descriptive qualitative research uses primary and secondary data. The primary data was obtained through interviews with informants, documentation and field observations, while the secondary data was obtained through literature studies in scientific journals and other relevant sources. This research finds the poor management system that requires company performance evaluation, strategic target setting, and improvement initiation in the company’s business processes. Stagnant or even decreasing total revenue is the result of other problems. To develop a solution for Kotento’s problem, this research uses four perspectives in the Balanced Scorecard; they are financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business perspective, and learning and growth perspective. This effort succeeded in setting several strategic targets that can lead to an increase in Kotento’s total revenue.   Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan memberikan solusi atas permasalahan Kotento dengan menyusun Strategy Map. Strategy Map dirancang dengan pendekatan Balanced Scorecard yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan total revenue Kotento. Hasil dari Balanced Scorecard yang telah dibentuk, kemudian disusun menjadi Key Perfomance Indicator sebagai bentuk penerapan dalam manajemen Kotento. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu data primer dan data sekunder. Data primer diperoleh melalui kegiatan wawancara dengan para informan, dokumentasi, dan observasi lapangan, sedangkan data sekunder diperoleh melalui studi pustaka, jurnal ilmiah, serta sumber lain yang relevan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan sistem manajemen Kotento yang buruk sehingga perlu proses evaluasi kinerja perusahaan, penetapan sasaran strategis dan inisiasi perbaikan dalam proses bisnisnya. Masalah dalam total revenue yang stagnan bahkan menurun saling berkaitan akibat dari permasalahan lain yang ditemukan peneliti. Dalam menyusun rancangan solusi bagi Kotento, peneliti menggunakan empat perspektif di dalam Balanced Scorecard yaitu perspektif keuangan, perspektif pelanggan, perspektif bisnis internal serta perspektif pembelajaran dan pertumbuhan. Dengan demikian, terciptalah beberapa sasaran strategis yang mengarah pada target peningkatan total revenue Kotento.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Interior Design, Perceived Customer Satisfaction and Customer Retention on objects which is Captain Coffee Malang in simultaneously and mediation. This study describes the causal relationship between the variables through hypothesis testing. This research collect data with techniques by using questionnaires and literature study. This study used 120 samples are consumers and customers of Captain Coffee Malang. Sampling using purposive sampling. Test equipment used to test the research instruments namely validity, reliability, and classical assumption. The analytical method used is the path coefficient analysis. Hypothesis testing using t test using SPSS program. These results indicate that the interior design has a significant influence on customer retention. The interior design also has a significant effect on perceived customer satisfaction. Customer retention also has significant direct effect on customer retention. Interior design significantly affects customer retention through perceived customer satisfaction.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to find a description of intellectual capital, job satisfaction, and employees performance; and tested explanation about the influence of intellectual capital that include competency, organization commitment, and job control on job satisfaction and performance; job satisfaction on performance; and intellectual capital on performance with job satisfaction as the mediation. The Local Government Officials at some Regencies in East Java which are dispersed in eight regencies, namely: Malang, Malang City, and Batu which were the observation objects and in the implementation this research used the verification research and survey method, with Stratified Random Sampling technique. The data collected by interview and questionnaire as the research technique. The result of descriptive analysis shows that (1) the officials' intellectual capital which observed both of total and each components resulted in moderate high category, (2) officials job satisfaction were observed both of total and each dimensions resulted in high category, expect job satisfaction on the dimensions of pay and promotion still in moderate high category and (3) officials performance were observed both of total and each dimensions resulted in moderate high category, expect performance on dimension of cooperation was in high category. The result of path analysis shows that (1) intellectual capital that include competency, organization commitment, and job control have positive and significant influence on job satisfaction and performance, (2) job satisfaction has positive and significant influence on performance and (3) intellectual capital has positive and significant influence on the performance with job satisfaction as the mediation.

Abstract

Occupational safety and health (OSH) is considered a part of human rights. A company disregarding to the OSH issues would obtain bad image which may weaken the company's market power. Besides, the company should pay attention to environment issues. By integrating comprehensively OSH and environment issues in its strategy and policy, the company may obtain some benefits, especially which have related to worker productivity. The research objectives were (1) examining the effect of OSH management. physical security, and working condition on worker productivity simultaneously, (2) examining the effect of OSH management, physical security, and working condition on worker productivity partially. The research design was conducted by using observational and cross-sectional data toward 179 respondents of the workers at PT Easternter and PT Paberik Tekstil Kasrie. The data collecting was conducted, by using questionnaire and also supported by secondary data. The data analysis was conducted, by using Exploratory Factor Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis. To guarantee accuracy of statistical finding the research also present results of labor utilization rate (LUR) and labor productivity index. Result of multiple regression analysis revealed that OSH management, physical security, and working condition had impact on worker productivity simultaneously and partially. And partially, three independent variables also have impact on worker productivity for PT. Easterntex, except OSH management which had no impact on worker productivity for PT Paberik Tekstil Kasrie significantly. Result for PT Paberik Tekstil Kasrie actually similar to textile industry context.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were to analyze the mediating role of deviant behavior on the influence of organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. This study was conducted on 112 government-owned bank employees in Manado, using Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis. This study indicates that organizational culture and ethical climate have a significant positive effect on employee performance. Organizational culture and ethical climate also have a significant negative effect on deviant behavior. However, behavior does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Deviant behavior also does not mediate the influence of organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. This study places deviant behavior as a mediating variable on organizational culture and ethical climate on employee performance. An important finding from this study is that behavior does not play a role in improving employee performance, nor does it play a mediator between organizational culture or ethical climate to employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Individual, psychological and organizational factors on the performance of physicians in the medical resume completeness.The research design is observational research with a cross sectional approach. The population of this study is all physician who becomes a doctor in charge of serviceand medical resume documents that are the responsibility of the physician. The instrument in this study was a questionnaire given to the physician. Partial Least Square (PLS) was used as data analysis method.The results showed that 34.4% of respondents had complete medical resume <50%. Also, some doctors did not know the importance of a medical resume in National Health Insuranceera. Psychological factor has the most significant direct effect coefficient on physician performance with immediate effect coefficient of 0.334.The conclusion of this studyare the Individual factors had a negative but not significant effect on physician performance,psychological factors have a negative and significant impact on physician's performance,and organizational factors have a positive but not significant impact on physician performance. The hospital should facilitate a gathering event for doctors and facilities for external training for doctors can be awarded as rewards to the best performing physician.

Abstract

Local government officials are required to have sufficient quality and high professionalism to be able to carry out the governmental tasks and community development in order to provide excellent service to the community. The purpose of this study is to identify the application of the principles of human resource management (HRM) on the government officials in East Kalimantan border region and to know the needs of human resource of government officials, both in terms of quantity and quality.This research was conducted in Nunukan, Malinau and West Kutai. By using descriptive quantitative approach,this study found statement of the respondents, such as regarding the recruitment process which still did not meet the expectation. In addition, the staff placed in the border region does not have adequate ability to perform the task given. Furthermore, the development process of human resource has been good; however,the sanction and reward given are still not good.From the results of this study, it can be concluded that in general, human resource management in border regionhas been done, but there is still a shortage of the number of personnel workin the borderregion. Quantitatively, itstill needs improvement, given the wide border area with great number of the people,so that the ratio between the officials and area of service is not balance.This study suggeststhat human resource management of government officialsin border areashould be done as one of the successes and efforts in order to improve public services for the community; therefore, itshould be conducted seriously.

Abstract

This study was aimed to examine the influence of clarity of waiting time information and the comfort of waiting room towardssatisfaction through waiting time perception of drug services. Chosen observational analytical study by cross-sectional study was used as methods in this study. Sampling technique used in this study was purposive sampling. 120 respondents were chosen as study sample among all of the outpatients out of pocket which waiting for drug services on March - April 2017. Path analysis was used as data analysis method. Study result showed that clarity of waiting time information and the comfort of waiting room had a positive and significant influence on waiting time perception and satisfaction awaiting drug services. As of intervening variable, waiting time perception was contributed increasing influence clarity of waiting time information and the comfort of waiting room towardssatisfaction with drug services. The most predominant variable in constructing satisfaction with drug servicesthrough waiting time perception was the comfort of the waiting room.
