Abstract

This study aimed to describe the teacher's role in online SBdP learning in class III-B SDN 1 Nagrak, Kabupaten Sukabumi. The research method used was descriptive qualitative with the type of case study. The research subjects used were class III-B teachers at SDN Nagrak. Data collection techniques used in this study were interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed by techniques proposed by Miles and Huberman, which consisted of data reduction, data display, and Conclusion/Verification. The results of the study revealed that 7 teacher roles out of 9 teacher roles were applied in the learning process. Among them were the teacher's roles as an informer, as a director, as a motivator, as a facilitator, as a mediator, as an organizer, and as an evaluator. The supporting and inhibiting factors for the teacher's role in SBdP online learning were the internal and external factors.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate a learning media in the form of Educational Mathematics Comics (Komatif) as a learning aid for elementary school students, especially on the topic of multiplication. This research uses the Research and Development (RnD) method by adapting the ADDIE model which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects include media experts, material experts, and practitioner experts who act as validators, as well as limited trials on 3rd-grade elementary school students. Data were obtained through validation sheets and expert reviews using a Likert scale, then analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The validation results show that the comic media received scores from media experts of 93.75%, material experts of 96.42%, and practitioner experts of 92.5%, with an overall average of 94.22%, which falls into the very feasible category. This comic media is considered attractive, communicative, and suitable for the characteristics of elementary school students. In conclusion, Komatif is feasible to be used as an innovative learning media that can increase learning motivation, strengthen conceptual understanding, and foster students' self-confidence by minimizing anxiety towards mathematics.   Keywords: Media Feasibility, Educational Comics, Multiplication Concept, Mathematics, Elementary School

Abstract

This research seeks to improve students' understanding of KPK and FPB concepts at SDN Cemerlang by addressing the constraints associated with the use of concrete media in mathematics instruction. Through the ADDIE model R&D method, Dakonball media based on Collaborative Learning was developed with 40 students. The validation results of material experts (93%), media (100%), and practitioners (93%) stated that the product is very feasible. The implementation showed a significant increase in learning outcomes, from an average of 35.13 pre-tests to 83.19 in the post-test. The results of the Paired Sample T-Test showed a significance value of 0.000, which is below the significance threshold (α = 0.05). With an N-gain of 0.73 (high category) and a positive response from students (90%), Dakonball media proved to be valid, practical, and statistically effective as an interactive mathematics learning solution in elementary schools. Abstract

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill in elementary education, yet many students struggle to grasp textual meaning. Initial observations in this study revealed a low classical completion rate of only 34% among Grade V students, primarily due to the dominance of passive conventional teaching methods. This study aims to describe the learning process and evaluate the improvement of reading comprehension skills through the implementation of the Know-Want-Learned (KWL) model. A Classroom Action Research (CAR) design was employed across two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research involved 5th-grade students, with data gathered via observation sheets, interviews, field notes, and comprehension tests. Results showed a significant upward trend in student performance and engagement. While Cycle I addressed initial instructional challenges, Cycle II demonstrated substantial progress where students successfully exceeded the 75% classical completeness threshold. By systematically activating prior knowledge (Know), establishing clear reading purposes (Want), and reflecting on acquired information (Learned), students became more engaged and critical in analyzing texts. The findings reveal that the KWL model not only improves comprehension scores specifically in identifying main ideas and summarizing but also enhances student motivation. In conclusion, the KWL model is a highly effective strategy for bridging the literacy gap in elementary education. This research implies that teachers should adopt structured, student-centered reading strategies like KWL to foster deeper cognitive engagement and transition away from monotonous traditional instruction, thereby significantly improving the quality of language learning.
