Abstract

Mathematics is a subject that makes students accustomed to thinking systematically, scientifically and critically. In learning Mathematics, students often experience difficulties both in understanding the language which is lacking or difficulties in calculating. With the use of concrete learning media, it is hoped that it can provide concrete manifestations in learning material and foster interest, attention and student learning motivation. The purpose of this study is to describe the learning motivation of grade 3 students in Mathematics using concrete learning media at SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang. The method used in this research is qualitative research. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The results of the study show that through concrete learning media, students' motivation in Mathematics looks very good. The conclusion of this study is that there is very good learning motivation in grade 3 students in Mathematics through concrete media at SDN Sendangmulyo 02 Semarang

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the UbD framework integrated with the TaRL approach in creating meaningful learning in Elementary Schools. The study was conducted with a qualitative approach through a case study method at SDN Sarirejo, East Semarang, Central Java. The study was conducted during October 2024 at SDN Sarirejo in general and class 3C with 25 students in particular. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the UbD framework provides a learning structure that focuses on long-term goals, authentic assessments, and learning planning, while the TaRL approach ensures that learning is adjusted to the level of student ability. This combination creates an inclusive, learner-centered learning environment that is effective in increasing student engagement and understanding. Observations also show that the integration of these two approaches has succeeded in improving students' collaboration skills and learning motivation through problem-based learning methods that are relevant to everyday life. This study recommends the implementation of UbD and TaRL simultaneously to improve the quality of learning according to the needs and characteristics of students

Abstract

Because it can make the material easier to understand, the use of teaching media in learning activities is very important. The purpose of the following study is to clearly determine how the effect of snakes and ladders media is related to the learning outcomes of grade 1 students at Phatnawitya School Thailand. The research technique used is a quantitative approach using an experimental design with a total of 30 grade 1 students at Phatnawitya School Thailand odd semester of the 2023/2024 school year, using a pretest and posttest research design. Data collection techniques were recording, observation and testing. 10 multiple-choice questions were part of the written test used in this study instrument. The results of the assessment were obtained from the estimation results through the Paired Sample t-tests and the t-test results were obtained at a t value of -9.711. With a sig value (Two-Sided) of 0.000 and a significance level of 0.05. Signaling that the significance of 0.000 <0.05. So it can be stated that there is an impact of snakes and ladders media on the educational attainment of grade 1 students of Phatnawitya School Thailand.
