Abstract

Mathematics is one of the most important subjects, but it often becomes a scourge for most students. Lack of student motivation is an obstacle and also affects the learning outcomes in Mathematics. The SAVI (Somatic, Auditory, Visual, Intellectual) approach integrated with the verses of Al-Qur’an into mathematical material is an alternative method of learning. This article aims at describing students' motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics through that SAVI approach.  The approach used is a quasi-experiment with non-equivalent control group design. The study was conducted at MTs Madani Alauddin Gowa. The sample consisted of class VIII A, 32 people as the control class and class VIII B, 32 people as the experiment class. Data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the average students’ motivation increased 10% in the experimental class and in the control class increased by 3%; and the average student learning outcomes increased by 23% in the experimental class and in the control class increased by 7%. Thus, there are differences in learning motivation and student learning outcomes between classes that apply and those that do not apply the SAVI approach by integrating Qur'anic verses. In short, it effectively increases students' motivation and learning outcomes in mathematics so that it can become alternative learning methods.

Abstract

Abstrak Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika siswa kelas XI MA YPPI Kabupaten Bulukumba dengan penerapan pemberian tugas. Populasi dalam pengabdian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MA YPPI Kab. Bulukumba yang berjumlah 52 orang dan terbagi menjadi 2 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Kelas eksperimen adalah kelas XIa sebanyak 27 siswa, yang menjadi kelas kontrol adalah kelas XIb sebanyak 25 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes essai sebanyak 5 soal, dan analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif diperoleh rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen 83,06 dan rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol 72,48. Sedangkan hasil analisis inferensial dalam pengujian hipotesis data menunjukkan nilai thitung lebih besar daripada nilai ttabel (3,38>1,68) dan rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dibanding rata-rata hasil belajar kelas kontrol, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan pembelajaran pemberian tugas efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika pada siswa kelas XI MA YPPI Kab. Bulukumba. Abstract The dedication of this study were knowing the in crease in student learning out comes in mathematics Class XI students of MA YPPI, Bulukumba Regency with the implementation of assignments. The population in this study were all students of class XI MA YPPI Kab. Bulukumba, amounting to 52 people and divided into 2 classes. The sampling technique used a saturated sampling technique. The experimental class was class XIA with 27 students, the control class was class XIB with 25 students. The instruments used were 5 essay tests, and the data analysis used was descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of the descriptive statistical analysis showed that thepost-test average for the experimental class was 83.06 and the post-test average for the control class was 72.48. While the result sofin ferential analysis in testing the data hypothesis show that the t-count value is greater than the t-table value (3.38> 1.68) and the average learning out comes of the experimental class are higher than the average learning outcomes of the control class, thus it can beconcluded that the use of learning assignment is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes in class XI MA YPPI Kab. Bulukumba.

Abstract

Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan antara hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization Auditory Kinestetic) dengan hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory Intellectually Repetition) pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Gowa. Pengabdian ini berbasis penelitian menggunakan equivalent time series design. Pada pengabdian ini, kelas VIII 4 dan kelas VIII 5 sebagai subjek sosialisasi I dan II yang masing-masing terdiri dari 37 siswa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial menggunakan uji-t untuk sampel independen (independent sample t-test). Dari hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran VAK dan AIR cukup efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa sedangkan berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,183. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa sign > ∝ yaitu 0,183 > 0,025 sehingga H0 diterima atau dengan melihat nilai ????ℎ???????????????????? sebesar 1,345 maka jika dibandingkan dengan ???????????????????????? (????(0,025,46)) sebesar 2,028 maka −???????????????????????? ≤ ????ℎ???????????????????? ≤ ???????????????????????? atau −2,028 ≤ 1,345 ≤ 2,012 artinya H0 diterima atau disimpulkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika antara siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK (Visualization Auditory Kinestetic) dengan model pembelajaran AIR (Auditory Intellectually Repetition) pada siswa kelas VIII MTs Negeri Gowa.

Abstract

The child's concentration ability is very important to be stimulated. One way to stimulate children's concentration is by providing games using geometric squares. This study aims to train concentration in children after the application of the geometric box playing method to children aged 5-6 years. This community service research in the form of service learning was conducted at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 2 Perumnas, with 3 children selected as participants based on purposive sampling. The instruments used were geometric squares, observation sheets for children, and intervention implementation evaluation sheets. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of the community service research show that children can concentrate on composing geometric shapes according to their shape. The findings in this study imply that children playing with geometric squares benefit because they can increase concentration, can recognize colors, and geometric shapes.

Abstract

Understanding the concept of abstract arithmetic operations requires visual aids such as concrete objects that can provide visualization to students. This study aims to determine the effect of using paired board teaching aids on integer operations material on students' mathematics learning outcomes. The research method used is quantitative with the type of pre-experimental research design and the research design is one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were all fifth grade students at SDN 103 Kalimporo, totaling 32 students. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling technique so that the sample in this research is class V. The instruments used are pretest and posttest. The data analysis technique used is descriptive and inferential statistical analysis. Based on the results of the analysis using simple regression analysis and t-test, the regression equation is obtained. With the t-test value, the value is , thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of using paired board teaching aids on integer operations material on the learning outcomes of class V students at SDN 103 Kalimporo.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the think pair share learning model on learning outcomes in terms of the interest in learning mathematics of grade X students of SMAN 18 Bulukumba. The population in this study is grade X students of SMAN 18 Bulukumba for the 2017/2018 school year which amounted to 137 students. The samples in this study were taken by simple random sampling technique. The sample in class X1 into a control group of 35 people received learning using conventional models. Class X2, which amounted to 35 people, as an experimental group received learning from the TPS learning model. This study uses quasi-experimental experiments with the form of design is nonequivalent control group design and the data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was an influence of interaction between the think pair share learning model in terms of learning interest in learning outcomes of grade X mathematics SMAN 18 Bulukumba. This is because hypothesis testing of learning outcomes and interest in learning mathematics shows Sig < α (0.000 < 0.05).

Abstract

Fractions are one of the mathematics materials at the elementary school level. Mathematics is still a difficult subject for students, especially in fraction addition operations. Therefore, some parents choose to bring in private teachers to help their children understand mathematics. This service is a learning assistance for students in Jeneponto district, South Sulawesi, which aims to train students to complete fraction addition operations through the media of fraction cards. This service was carried out by several lecturers of Mathematics Education at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training at UIN Alauddin Makassar for 7 meetings, by making fraction card media to help students understand the concept of fractions, especially in fraction addition operations. The results of this dedication show that after participating in this community service activity, students can complete the operation of adding fractions. Another finding from this service is that there are still students who have not mastered the multiplication and division operations of integers, resulting in difficulties in completing fraction addition operations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan bahan ajar software matematika "Matlab" dalam meningkatkan keterampilan matematika mahasiswa pendidikan matematika di UIN Alauddin Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 4 kelas B sebanyak 22 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan terdiri dari lembar observasi, lembar tes, dan lembar angket respon mahasiswa. Data diolah menggunakan uji N-Gain dan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bahan ajar software Matlab cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan matematika mahasiswa. Namun, perlu diperhatikan bahwa penggunaan software matematika hanya efektif jika didukung oleh pendekatan pembelajaran yang tepat dan terintegrasi dengan baik dalam kurikulum matematika.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya kemampuan berpikir refraktif matematis dan self-efficacy peserta didik kelas VIII di MTs Madani Alauddin. Tujuannya adalah menguji efektivitas penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada pendekatan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi terhadap kedua kemampuan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain post-test only control group. Populasinya adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII (138 orang), dengan sampel kelas VIII D dan VIII A yang dipilih menggunakan cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah modul ajar, soal tes kemampuan berpikir refraktif, angket self-efficacy dan pedoman wawancara. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai signifikansi , yang berarti terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kemampuan berpikir refraktif matematis dan self-efficacy antara kelas yang diajar dengan model PBL berdiferensiasi dan kelas kontrol (pembelajaran langsung). Selain itu, hasil uji efisiensi relatif menunjukkan bahwa model PBL berdiferensiasi lebih efisien daripada model pembelajaran langsung. Kesimpulannya, model problem based learning dengan pendekatan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir refraktif matematis dan self-efficacy peserta didik kelas VIII MTs Madani Alauddin.   Kata kunci: Problem Based Learning, Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi, Kemampuan Berpikir Refraktif Matematis, dan Self Efficacy Abstract: This study stems from the low level of mathematical reflective thinking ability and self-efficacy among eighth-grade students at MTs Madani Alauddin. The aim is to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with a differentiated learning approach on these two abilities. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a post-test only control group design. The population includes all eighth-grade students (138 people), with sample classes VIII D and VIII A selected using simple random sampling. The instruments used are a reflective thinking ability test and a self-efficacy questionnaire. Hypothesis testing was conducted using an independent sample t-test. The results showed a significance value of 0.00<0.05, which means there is a significant difference in mathematical reflective thinking ability and self-efficacy between the class taught using the differentiated PBL model and the control class (direct instruction). In addition, the relative efficiency calculation shows that the differentiated PBL model is more efficient than the direct learning model. In conclusion, the problem-based learning model with a differentiated learning approach is effective in improving the mathematical reflective thinking skills and self-efficacy of eighth-grade students at MTs Madani Alauddin. Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Differentiated Learning, Mathematical Reflective Thinking Ability, and Self-Efficacy

Abstract

Dalam konteks pedagogi abad ke-21, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi melalui media seperti video interaktif sangat penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Studi ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas video pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan Pengajaran dan Pembelajaran Kontekstual (CTL), yang dikembangkan menggunakan Macromedia Flash 8 untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa. Desain Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D), mengikuti kerangka ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi), digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi lembar validasi, lembar observasi implementasi pembelajaran dan aktivitas siswa, kuesioner respons untuk guru dan siswa, dan tes kemampuan penalaran matematika. Partisipan adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 SMPN 2 Watansoppeng. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran mencapai kategori 'sangat valid' dengan skor validator 3,79. Dari segi kepraktisan, media tersebut mendapat tingkat respons 'sangat positif' sebesar 88,46%, dan implementasi pembelajaran 'terlaksana sepenuhnya' dengan skor 1,87. Efektivitasnya ditunjukkan oleh tingkat respons siswa yang positif sebesar 82,36%, tingkat aktivitas siswa yang 'baik' sebesar 71,66%, dan skor kategori 'baik' sebesar 79% pada tes kemampuan penalaran matematika. Oleh karena itu, disimpulkan bahwa video Pembelajaran dan Pengajaran Kontekstual yang dikembangkan untuk siswa kelas delapan di SMP Negeri 2 Watansoppeng merupakan alat pembelajaran yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Pemanfaatan informasi teknologi, khususnya penyajian pengetahuan melalui video interaktif, dapat meningkatkan pembelajaran bersama di abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui tingkat kevalidan, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan pengembangan video pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) berbantuan macromedia flash 8 untuk meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian Penelitian dan Pengembangan dengan pengembangan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi, lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, lembar observasi aktivitas peserta didik, angket respon guru, angket respon peserta didik serta tes kemampuan penalaran matematis. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas VIII.1 SMPN 2 Watansoppeng. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pencapaian analisis validasi oleh tim validator adalah 3,79 dengan kategori sangat valid. Kriteria kepraktisan 88,46 % dengan respon sangat positif dan observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran 1,87 dengan kategori terlaksana seluruhnya. Hasil kriteria keefektifan 82,36% dengan respon positif, hasil analisis observasi aktivitas peserta didik 71,66% dengan kategori baik, dan kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik 79% berada pada kategori baik. dapat disimpulkan video pembelajaran berbasis pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning berbantuan Macromedia Flash 8 pada peserta didik kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Watansoppeng yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif.
