Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is the result of a historical research, which aims to reconstruct the emergence and growth of movement in Surakarta in colonial period. This study answers the questions of dynamics and movement in Surakarta, which include: (1) background factors of the dynamics and movement in Surakarta in colonial period, and (2) the form of dynamics and movement. The method used in this study is historical method, which consists of four stages, namely heuristic, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The historical paradigm used is that of John Tosh, i.e. to reconstruct history by understanding the social background and circumstances that cause the development of an event, and the direction of its changes. As for the reconstruction of the past, this study uses the model of the central circle. In this model, it is assumed that the incident at the center of the circle will have consequences in the vicinity. In turn, the center of the circle and the surrounding areas will lead to a new center around which will also result in new symptoms. The theory used is the theory of conflict, social movements, and resistance ideology. The use of the social theories is important for the study of history to expand in space (synchronous), in addition to remaining in the basic ground pattern of history that extends in time (diachronic). This study found historical facts that, in a piece of history of the movement in Indonesia, there are various factors and form of the dynamics of movement in Surakarta at colonial period. Dynamics and movement in Surakarta motivated by external factors (pressure from Western imperialism) and internal one (increasing struggle of indigenous organizations and modern media). The form of dynamics and movement in Surakarta are central circular, complex and interrelated in various fields, namely social and cultural sectors, agrarian, economic, political and religion. The results of this research have contributed knowledge to the discipline of history, especially in the exposure and reconstruction of a history fragment of the dynamics and movement of natives (indigenous people) in the revolt imperialism. In addition, the role of religion movement in forming a moving situation is found in this study. It indicates that this research can also contribute to the discipline of History of Islamic Culture.

Abstract

The present study aimed to discover how the Adil newspapers reported various problems in 1933. This research focused on political problems in the Netherlands and the impacts on the life of the nation and the people of Indonesia, which was still a Dutch colony at that time. In addition, this study also explained the Indonesian people's economic conditions during that period. This research used the theory of patron-client relationship patterns, where rulers have the authority to regulate the lives of their people, and people depend on the policies of their rulers. The findings showed that the capitalist and conservative parties had dominated the Tweede Kamer. Finally, the Indonesian people's economy was also classified as poor, which caused other crimes. Abstract

Historical studies are a vital discussion in various social sciences and humanities, including Islamic studies. Islam and Muslims are not static entities, but a continuous fact. In Islamic studies, a historical approach has actually been carried out, not only in relation to the chronology of Islamic development. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The data were taken from historical science literature, then analyzed by theoretical hermeneutics which were then analyzed using the triangulation method, namely by conducting a cross check between theories in the historical method. The results of this research show that there are aspects of Islamic history that must be understood objectively so as not to lose the orientation of space and time, so that all doctrines, schools of thought and civilization in Islam can be presented objectively.Keywords: History; Methodology; Islamic Studies.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe woman’s leadership in Islam. Woman’s leadership had become considerable polemic in Islamic history. The data source of this qualitative research was taken from books of hadith. The data was analyzed using the hermeneutical Takhrij method and historical approach. A conclusion drawn from this study is that the woman’s leadership prohibition originally was referred from hadith narrated by Abu Bakrah as the common link. He had interpreted the meaning of hadith from his cognizance. It was influenced by his philosophy of cosmology and culture at that time, which cannot be said to represent Islam. In critical studies, hadith has a temporal and conditional meaning. The prohibition for women’s leadership occurred because many ulama interpret the misogynist hadith textually, instead of historically. This historical approach to misogynist hadith has led to the conclusion that there is nothing wrong with women’s leadership in government as long as they have the capacity, knowledge, and skills. The psycho-historical approach at the time of the Prophet Muhammad and the socio-cultural conditions that developed during the era increasingly showed that the hadith was not an absolute prohibition for a woman to lead a government.

Abstract

Tulisan ini ingin menggarap medan pemikiran Ibn Thufail terkait dengan teologi dan pendidikan. Ibn Thufail yang hidup pada masa Dinasti Umayyah di Andalusia menjadi seorang genius yang diperhitungkan oleh khalifah. genius ini yang kemudian di Barat dikenal dengan Abbubacer. Pemikiran sangat khas terkiat syarat dan makna perkembangan hidup seorang manusia melalui Roman Hayy bin Yadzhan. Pemikiran yang dikembangkan oleh Ibn Thufail secara evolusi seperti pola kesadaran umat manusia dalam memahami realita kehidupan di dunia ini. Dengan menggunakan metode library research penelitian ini ingin mengungkapkan bagaimana konsep teologi yang didasrai oleh seorang manusia yang telah memahami alam yang telah mengasuhnya. Dengan menggunakan akal manusia diharapkan bisa dan mampu mempelajari apa-apa yang datang mereka pelajar semasa perkembangnnya di dunia ini. Bahkan dalam mengembangkan konsep pendidikan ini Ibn Thufail menganggap ada beberapa metode dan konsep cara memperoleh pengetahuan. Berupa metode berdasarkan pada rasio dan metode berdasarkan intuisi dan jiwa bahkan metode berdasarkan panca indra.

Abstract

This research will discuss the educational model developed by the Rasyidun Khulafaur. The Khulafaur Raysidun, consisting of four friends, namely Abu Bakar, Umar Ibn Khatam, Uthman Ibn Affan, and Ali bin Abi Talib provided different models or types of learning, but the essence of the teachings was taken from the Koran and the Sunnah of the Prophet. By using the library research method where the sources used are literature and then carrying out analysis with the most relevant sources to find answers to existing problems. The educational model implemented by Khulafaur Rasyidun apparently has different models. Abu Bakr as the first caliph to replace the Prophet Muhammad taught the educational model in the form of faith and moral education. Umar bin Khatam as the second caliph taught a model of education based on the physical framework, Uthman prioritized ethical education which focused on the study of morals, as did his last friend, Ali bin Abi Talib, who taught faith and morals education in forming a good Muslim person. The educational model taught by Khulafaur Rasyidun became the educational model used by the ulama after him. Where this education should also be carried out by Muslims today who are now starting to be attacked by Western-style education which is not in accordance with the soul and personality of their nation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of the market day program in fostering entrepreneurial character among the students of Kuttab Al Faruq Sukoharjo, as well as the factors that support and hinder its implementation. The research method employed is qualitative case study. The research informants include teachers, students, and guardians of the Kuttab students. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis technique utilized qualitative data analysis with an interactive model. The findings of the research indicate that the market day program at Kuttab Al Faruq can foster entrepreneurial character among the students, from the planning stage to implementation and evaluation. The entrepreneurial character traits developed among the students include self-confidence, independence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. The supporting factors for the implementation of market day include educator involvement, active participation from guardians, enthusiasm from students, and the availability of school facilities. The hindering factors for the implementation of market day include lack of trading experience and difficulty in devising marketing strategies.

Abstract

This study explores the pivotal role of pesantren in advancing women’s education in Indonesia, focusing on KH. Abdul Wahab Turcham in Surabaya. Pesantren, as traditional Islamic educational institutions, have been central to both religious and secular education in Indonesia. This qualitative research uses a descriptive approach and literature review to examine how pesantren are adapting to contemporary educational demands for women. The study emphasizes the need for policy initiatives and community support to transform Islamic boarding schools to meet evolving educational needs. Findings highlight KH. Abdul Wahab Turcham's significant contributions and the challenges female students face, underscoring the Kiai's role in fostering an empowered female generation.

Abstract

This study presents findings on developing collaborative peer-based authentic assessment in physics learning. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. The source of research data with secondary data is derived from data from SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Klaten. The data analysis involves collecting, organizing, interpreting, and drawing conclusions from qualitative research data. The research results show that the PCAA model is an assessment of the learning process that can improve higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) and can be applied to improve the quality of education. Collaborative skills, peer assessment, and authentic assessment can improve the quality of education. The Peer Collaborative-Authentic Assessment (PCAA) model assesses Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) learning. HOTS learning can improve education quality, so that the PCAA model can improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai pendidikan anti bullying yang terinspirasi dari Sirah Nabawiyah dalam membentuk karakter siswa di Madrasah Aliyah Tahfizhul Qur’an Isy Karima, Karangpandan, Kabupaten Karanganyar. Sirah Nabawiyah, sebagai sumber inspirasi utama, menawarkan model pendidikan yang mencakup nilai-nilai moral, etika, dan kepemimpinan yang dapat membantu mengatasi permasalahan bullying di lingkungan pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik content analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi nilai-nilai pendidikan anti bullying berbasis Sirah Nabawiyah mampu membentuk karakter siswa dengan meningkatkan kesadaran moral, empati, dan kepedulian terhadap sesama. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif bagi pengembangan pendidikan karakter di Madrasah Aliyah dan institusi pendidikan lainnya.
