Abstract

Background: Program pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis pelatihan budidaya dan pemanfaatan Tanaman Obat Keluarga (TOGA) dilaksanakan di Desa Cot Bagi, Kecamatan Blang Bintang, Kabupaten Aceh Besar.

Abstract

Kontrol positif yang digunakan yaitu amoxicilin, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ekstrak etanol kulit batang sirsak dapat menghambat pertumbuhan bakteri Escherichia coli yang ditandai dengan adanya zona bening disekitar paper disk Kata kunci: Kulit batang sirsak, Escherichia coli, Difusi disk, Daya hambat ABSTRACT Soursop (Annona muricata L) is a type of plant that lives in tropical areas for a long time. The bark contains secondary metabolic compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, polyphenols, saponins, and tannins. Empirically, the bark is used as a treatment that has important pharmacological properties such as anticancer, antibacterial, antidiabetic, antidiarrheal, antihypertensive, and wound healing. This study aims to determine the diameter of the inhibitory power of ethanol extract of soursop bark (Annona muricata L) against the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria. The method used is disc diffusion with variations in extract concentrations of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. The population is in Tunong District, Nagan Raya with a purposive sampling technique. Soursop bark is extracted using the maceration method with 96% ethanol solvent. The test results showed that the average diameter of the inhibition zone at a concentration of 25% was 4 mm (weak category), 50% and 75% were 5.3 mm (moderate category), and 100% was 7.6 mm (moderate category). Amoxicillin was used as a positive control. It can be concluded that the ethanol extract of soursop bark can inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli bacteria, as indicated by the presence of a clear zone around the paper disk. Abstract

Coconut is a multipurpose tree for people in the tropics. Almost all parts can be used such as leaves, fruit, stems, and roots. Besides having many benefits of coconut, it also produces waste from its fruit, namely coconut fiber. Coconut coir has a very high tannin content. In general, tannin compounds can be indicated as anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial. The purpose of this study was to formulate the anti-acne mask from coconut coir extract and to test its physical properties. This study uses an experimental research method, in which three mask formulas are made with variations in the concentration of active substances and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA). In this study the active substance used was coconut coir extract. The formulas used are formulas A, B, and C with the concentration of active substances successively as follows: 1%, 2%, 4%. The results of research that have been carried out that the mask formula that has the best physical properties is formula B, because it fulfills the physical properties provisions of the peel off face mask including organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, dispersal power, and drying time.

Abstract

Background: Calcium (Ca) is an essential mineral abundantly present in goat milk and plays a crucial role in bone and dental development. Data on Ca levels in local goat milk from Banda Aceh remain limited, although such information is important for nutritional purposes and the development of livestock products. Atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) is employed for mineral analysis owing to its high sensitivity and selectivity. Objective: This study aimed to determine the calcium content in fresh goat milk from three locations in Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar and to evaluate any differences between them. Methods: This was a descriptive quantitative research with an experimental laboratory approach conducted in Banda Aceh in 2025. Fresh goat milk samples were collected from Gampong Tibang (GT), Gampong Kopelma Darussalam (KD), and Gampong Lamblang Manyang (LM) in April 2025. The samples were digested with concentrated HNO₃ and analyzed using AAS at 422.7 nm. Data were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA.Results: The highest calcium content was found in KD (0.892 mg/L), followed by GT (0.856 mg/L), and the lowest in LM (0.582 mg/L). The overall mean calcium level was 0.777 mg/L. One-way ANOVA confirmed significant differences among locations (F = 61.62; p = 0.0001). Conclusion: Calcium levels in fresh goat milk varied significantly among locations and were potentially influenced by environmental factors, feeding practices, and goat physiology. These findings are expected to serve as a basis for developing high-quality local goat milk products and supporting the utilization of functional foods.
