Abstract

Ngargosari Village is one of the palm sugar producing villages in Loano District. The palm trees in Ngargosari Village are not cultivated; they grow naturally and are cultivated through generations, with the number of palm trees reaching 3,000. This study aims to determine the business analysis of costs, revenue, income, as well as the feasibility analysis of R/C and BEP (BEP unit and price) of palm sugar production per month in the "Tanisari" Farmer Group, Ngargosari Village, Loano District, Purworejo Regency. The sampling method used is a census, namely all individuals in the population are counted (investigated or interviewed) as respondents with a total of 25 palm sugar craftsmen. The data collected are primary data and secondary data. The analysis method used is a business feasibility analysis using the R/C Ratio and BEP. The results of this study show: (1) The average production costs incurred by palm sugar craftsmen are Rp. 748,600, (2) The average income earned by palm sugar craftsmen is Rp. 1,518,600, and (3) the income earned by palm sugar craftsmen is Rp. 770,000 in one month of production. (4) The amount of R/C in the palm sugar agroindustry shows that the craftsmen are profitable and worth pursuing because it has been proven to provide benefits to the craftsmen. The R/C in the palm sugar agroindustry is 2.03, indicating that for every Rp. 1 of costs incurred in the agroindustry, revenue of Rp. 2.03 will be obtained, so the income obtained is Rp. 1.03. (5) The BEP unit size is 38 kg < the production unit in the research area is 75 kg, the BEP price result is IDR 9,981 < the price in the research area is IDR 19,400, so it can be concluded that the palm sugar business is financially feasible to develop

Abstract

Viabilitas dan vigor merupakan komponen penting dalam penilaian kualitas benih. Sebagai langkah awal dalam usaha pembudidayaan kacang tanah, diperlukan persiapan benih dengan kualitas unggul. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis viabilitas benih kacang tanah melalui pengamatan daya kecambah pada dua perlakuan. Pengamatan dilakukan selama 10 hari dengan parameter yang diamati meliputi daya kecambah, jumlah benih normal, abnormal, dan tingkat kematian benih. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbedaan antara kedua perlakuan, dimana perlakuan 1 menghasilkan daya kecambah sebesar 80% sedangkan perlakuan 2 mencapai 72%.

Abstract

Community service activities in the form of counseling and training in making organic fertilizers based on Photosynthetic Bacteria (PSB) have been carried out in Sendangdalem Village, Padureso District, Kebumen Regency on June 3, 2025. This activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers and village youth in the application of organic agriculture and environmentally friendly PSB fertilizer manufacturing technology. The implementation of the activity began with coordination and preparation, followed by counseling on the concept and benefits of organic farming, as well as direct PSB fertilizer making training, where participants were actively involved in each stage of the process. Evaluation is carried out through pre test and post test to measure the effectiveness of activities. The results of the evaluation showed an increase in the average score of participants from 66.82 in the pretest to 70.59 in the post test, which indicated an increase in the understanding and skills of the participants. However, some participants have not experienced a significant increase, so further assistance is needed. Overall, this activity has a positive impact in supporting sustainable agriculture efforts and increasing the capacity of village communities in managing agricultural resources independently and environmentally friendly

Abstract

The community service program consists of seminars and training sessions on the production of cocoblock planting media for the PKK (Family Welfare Movement) of Kawedusan Village, Kebumen Regency. This initiative aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of housewives in utilizing backyard land productively and sustainably. The program is driven by the low level of public understanding regarding alternative planting media and the high potential of coconut husk waste that remains underutilized. The training was conducted using a participatory action learning approach, emphasizing active participant involvement through interactive lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on practice in making cocoblock. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in participants' understanding, as evidenced by the comparison of pre-test and post-test results, as well as their skills in independently creating cocoblock planting media. Participant engagement was very high, evident from their enthusiasm during practical sessions and willingness to replicate the training outcomes at their respective homes. The program outputs include training modules, tutorial videos, and cocoblock prototypes that can serve as references for developing similar programs. This program has implications for improving household food security, reducing organic waste, and providing opportunities for economic empowerment based on backyard farming. The results of this activity are the application of simple but effective technologies that have a broad impact when implemented in a participatory and sustainable manner

Abstract

Pracimantoro District is the largest peanut producing area in Wonogiri Regency with an average planting area of 381 Ha, productivity of 13.79 Kw/Ha, and production of 525.90 Tons. Farmers are expected to develop peanut agribusiness in the area. This study aims to formulate alternative strategies and determine the priorities of peanut agribusiness development strategies in Pracimantoro District. The basic method used is the descriptive method. Key informants are determined using convenience sampling techniques. Data collection techniques are carried out using observation, interview, recording, and triangulation of sources. The data analysis methods used include EFE and IFE Matrix, Grand Strategy Matrix, SWOT Matrix, and QSPM. The results showed that the peanut agribusiness development strategy was in quadrant I of Strength-Opportunity (S-O). The priority strategy that can be applied to the development of peanut agribusiness in Pracimantoro District is to develop production through improving the quality of peanuts.

Abstract

As the standard of living increases, the orientation of food consumption shifts from fulfilling intake to fulfilling nutrition. The acquisition of sustenance by means other than farming and government aid can enhance nutritional satisfaction, increasing energy consumption as a measure of food security. This study aimed to assess the impact of food acquisition outside expenditure on the food security of cassava farmer households in Wonogiri Regency. The research was conducted in July 2022. The method of analysis was descriptive quantitative with purposive location determination. A representative sample of 80 households was chosen by applying the proportionate allocation formula. Data were collected using 2 x 24-hour Food Recall. The data analysis in this study focused on three key variables: income, the proportion of food spending, and the Wilcoxon test of energy consumption and food security among farmer households. These variables were examined before and after food acquisition from external sources. The results showed that the average monthly income of farmers was Rp4,985,487.00. The proportion of food expenditure amounted to 33.36 percent. Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference in energy consumption before and after food acquisition outside expenditure. The food security classification of cassava farmer households before the acquisition of food outside expenditure showed that 21.25 percent were classified as food secure, 15 percent were classified as food susceptible, 52.5 percent as food insecure, and 11.25 percent as severely food insecure. After the additional food outside expenditure, the food security classification increased, with 45 percent classified as food secure, 23.75 percent as food susceptible, 25 percent as food insecure, and 6.25 percent as severely food insecure. This finding demonstrates that food utilization from farming and the Non-Cash Food Assistance (Bantuan et al./BPNT) program positively impacts the food security conditions of cassava farmer households in Wonogiri Regency.

Abstract

The area of rice fields in Klaten Regency has decreased every year, this is in line with the increase in population and the non-agricultural sector that requires land so that the function of rice fields to non-rice fields is converted to meet the demand for this land. This research aims was to examine the rate of conversion of rice fields in Klaten Regency, the development of rice fields in Klaten Regency and to find out the factors that influence the conversion of rice fields in Klaten Regency. The basic method of this research is descriptive and quantitative analysis methods. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of time series data for 1990-2019. The quantitative analysis method used is the calculation of the partial rate of land conversion, analysis of the influencing factors using multiple linear regression analysis based on OLS (Ordinary Least Square). The results showed that the rate of conversion of rice fields in Klaten Regency during 1990-2019 experienced a fluctuating conversion of rice fields, the area of decreasing rice fields was 5.5% or 2,155 ha and the average conversion rate was 0.18% with over the function of rice fields 71.3 Ha per year. Based on multiple linear regression analysis (Ordinary Least Square) with a confidence level of 95%, it is known that the factors that influence the conversion of rice fields to non- rice fields in Klaten Regency are residential, current price PDRB, and population.

Abstract

Tanaman obat merupakan jenis tanaman yang dimanfaatkan masyarakat untuk menjaga kesehatan, memperbaiki status gizi, menghijaukan lingkungan, dan meningkatkan pendapatan. Desa Peniron merupakan salah satu desa yang memiliki banyak tanaman obat yang melimpah. Sebagai wujud usaha peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Peniron maka dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan jamu bersama mitra yaitu kelompok konservasi tanaman obat di Desa Peniron guna memaksimalkan potensi yang melimpah di desa. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan metode penyuluhan yang kemudian dilanjutkan dengan praktik. Narasumber pada pelatihan ini adalah penggiat UMKM yang bergerak di bidang minuman herbal yaitu Ibu Tri Ari Subekti dan sebagai pesertanya adalah kelompok konservasi tanaman obat dan mahasiswa tim PPK Ormawa Himagrotek UMNU Kebumen. Pada pelatihan ini dilakukan pre test dan post test terkait tanaman obat dan pemanfaatannya guna mengukur sejauh mana pengetahuan peserta. Hasil post test menunjukkan peningkatan hingga 100% terhadap pengetahuan peserta pelatihan mengenai jenis tanaman obat dan pengolahannya menjadi jamu hingga bagaimana membuat produk yang menarik konsumen. Anggota kelompok konservasi tanaman obat sangat antusias sekali mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan jamu. Hasil dari pelatihan ini yaitu kelompok konservasi tanaman obat bersama tim PPK Ormawa Himagrotek UMNU Kebumen dapat membuat jamu brujul yang berupa jamu serbuk dan cair yang dikemas menggunakan kemasan yang menarik sehingga konsumen menjadi tertarik untuk mengkonsumsi jamu.

Abstract

Desa Peniron berada di Kecamatan Pejagoan Kabupaten Kebumen, sebagian besar menggunakan lahan untuk bertani dan beternak. KTT Dwi Manunggal, salah satu kelompok tani ternak di Desa Peniron, yang usahanya berjalan cukup baik. Namun, manajemen kelompoknya belum optimal, yang berarti mereka belum peka terhadap masalah dan belum memanfaatkan sumber daya mereka dengan baik. Dengan mempertimbangkan masalah ini, perlu dilakukan pelatihan kapasitas kelompok untuk membuat pupuk organik padat dari limbah peternakan, terutama feses ternak. Metode eksploratif digunakan, yang mencakup fase perencanaan dan persiapan, penyuluhan dan praktik, dan evaluasi kegiatan. Kegiatan pelatihan dan penyuluhan telah dilakukan dengan baik. Peserta pelatihan menyadari betapa pentingnya meningkatkan kapasitas kelompok dan manfaat pembuatan pupuk organik. Pupuk organik padat umumnya menunjukkan hasil yang baik. Praktik pembuatan pupuk organik padat telah diterapkan secara mandiri oleh anggota KTT Dwi Manunggal.

Abstract

Pakcoy merupakan tanaman berumur pendek dan memiliki kandungan gizi yang tinggi yang diperlukan oleh tubuh. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan dan hasil pakcoy adalah pengaplikasian pupuk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian berbagai jenis bahan photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) terhadap pertumbuhan dan kualitas hasil tanaman pakcoy. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial. Dalam perlakuan ini ditetapkan 4 jenis perlakuan dengan masing – masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Perlakuan yang diberikan sebagai berikut : P0 : Kontrol (tanpa diberi PSB), P1 : Pemberian PSB dengan campuran air, telur, MSG, P2 :Pemberian PSB dengan campuran air, telur, MSG, madu, P3 : Pemberian PSB dengan campuran air, telur, MSG, madu, susu. Perlakuan pengaplikasian PSB dilakukan setiap satu minggu sekali, dengan dosis 10 ml / 100 ml air per tanaman, pengaplikasiannya yaitu dengan cara disemprot pada tiap tanaman. Pemberian berbagai jenis photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap jumlah daun pada usia 14 HST dan berpengaruh nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman usia 7 dan 28 HST, bobot total tanaman, bobot basah sampel dan tidak berbeda nyata pada karakter lainnya. Pemberian pupuk organik cair photosynthetic bacteria (PSB) terbaik yaitu P1 dari bahan air, telur, monosodium glutamat (MSG) dimana menunjukkan tinggi tanaman yang terbaik pada 1 MST 11,47 cm dan 4 MST 22,76 cm, jumlah daun terbaik pada 2 MST 9,6 daun, bobot total tanaman terbaik 912,75 gram, dan bobot basah sampel terbaik 964,5 gram.Kata kunci: pakcoy, photosynthetic bacteria, telur
