Abstract

Since Indonesia was colonized by the Dutch and Japanese, the development of Islamic educational institutions has shifted. During the Dutch period educational discrimination occurred, while in Japan the discrimination was abolished. However, everything colonialism that occurred in Indonesia caused deep wounds. This study aims to (1) describe the Japanese policy system towards Indonesia; and (2) describe the Japanese policy system for the Sambas people. The study was conducted with a literature study and to answer the focus of the study the analysis of the literature both books, national and international journals and other literature were considered supportive to answer the problem. The results of the study revealed; (1) Japan's policy system in Indonesia carries the vision of Nipponization taught in all fields, including in terms of education. Japan's aim is to be the leader of Greater Asia by influencing Indonesian society with an education system implemented by Japan. (2) the policy system in Sambas, Japan is more open to the Sambas people, because the key weakness of Sambas is religion. Japan is more open to opening Islamic organizations to get support as leaders of Greater Asia. In order for the mission of Japan to succeed, the educational institution eliminates discrimination by no longer looking at differences, which is the mission to instill the contents of Nipponization.

Abstract

The importance of the curriculum that is carried out to answer the challenges of the changing times so that students are able to compete in the future. Another reason for making curriculum changes is considered burdensome for students, there is too much subject matter that students have to learn, thus making it overwhelmed. The 2013 curriculum is oriented to produce productive, creative, innovative and affective Indonesians through strengthening attitudes (know why), skills (know how), and knowledge (know why). The focus of this research is (1) how to challenge the 2013 Curriculum in preparation Learning Islamic Religion Education at Public Elementary School 16 Sungai Ringin Sintang District. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 16 Sungai Ringin having the address at Jalan Sintang Tempunak, Desa Kapuas Kanan Hilir, Sintang District. Primary data sources used include; Islamic Religious Education teachers, Curriculum Representatives, Principals and students. The techniques used in data collection are observation, interviews and documentation. Techniques in data collection are multiple sources of evidence (data triangulation), data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and verification. The results of the research findings (1) the efforts of PAI curriculum 2013 teachers to prepare for Islamic Religious Education learning in maximizing the learning process following training and workshops to improve and develop teacher professionalism

Abstract

The problems of Islamic education in Patani Malay which began in the golden period, gradually decreased, when the Malay kingdom of Patani was taken over by the Thai kingdom. The research results of the study show that: First, Patani Malays who lived in parts of Southern Thailand had experienced a period of triumph so that many gave birth to clerical figures. Second, when Patani was taken over by the Siamese kingdom, the Islamic educational institutions had undergone changes consisting of three types, namely Islamic schools, madrassas, and Islamic boarding schools. Third, changes in Islamic educational institutions increasingly experienced changes when the change of Thai leaders, namely the assimilation of educational culture. Fourth, the government policy towards Patani Malay, which continues to trigger conflict, makes them set policies according to the wishes of the Patani people but the policy is experiencing a dilemma for Patani Malay.

Abstract

The aims of this research are: 1) To describe the implementation of PAI teacher inquiry strategies in improving the critical thinking of class VI students at SDN 06 Mensere. 2) To describe the application of the Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) concept in improving the critical thinking abilities of class VI students at SDN 06 Mensere. Researchers used a qualitative approach with descriptive research type. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data display, and conclusions. The results of the research show that: 1) The implementation of PAI teacher inquiry strategies in improving the critical thinking of class VI students at SDN 06 Mensere is very good, starting with making a plan by determining the problems that will be solved by students and then implementing the inquiry strategy by giving problems to students to solve and carry out evaluations by looking at the development of students' critical thinking both objectively and in the grade book. 2) Implementing the Higher Order Thinking Skills concept for PAI teachers by creating HOTS-based questions and then handing them over to students to work on and seeing the effectiveness of applying the HOTS concept by looking at the final results of the assignments that students have completed.

Abstract

One of the modes of transpotation available at the Central Market of Polewali Mandar District is a motorized rickshaw. Motorized becak is a modification of traditional becak with motorized vehicles such as motorcycles. The benefits of this research are for consideration by motorized pedicab drivers in order to improve the quality of service to passengers. The results of the analysis using the help of SPSS version 26 software from 100 questionnaire samples distributed with reference to the three factors in this study, namely service quality, safe and comfortable, and bentor tariffs are able to influence the ups and downs of public satisfaction with motorized rickshaw services by 65.6%. Then in partial testing or t test shows that the service quality variable has a result of 0.974, the safe and comfortable variable is 2.342 and the bentor tariff variable with a result of 6.705. This shows that the bentor tariff variable is the factor that is most able to influence the satisfaction of motorized rickshaw consumers in the Central Market of Polewali Mandar Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the use of learning media on the motivation to learn the subject of Akidah Akhlak at the Private Islamic Senior High School (MAS) Ushuluddin Singkawang. The significance of using efficient learning resources to boost students' motivation and interest in comprehending Akidah Akhlak topics serves as the study's backdrop. A quantitative approach with an experimental design is the research methodology employed. Questionnaires, teacher and student interviews, and observation were used to gather data. The data analysis technique is carried out in two stages, namely the first stage with descriptive statistical analysis and the second stage is inferential statistical analysis. According to the study's findings, using interactive and diverse learning resources helps pupils become more motivated to learn. Compared to traditional techniques, students who use learning media are more engaged, passionate, and demonstrate greater comprehension. Based on the results of the questionnaire on the use of learning media, 68 respondents who were the subjects of the study, 26 respondents (38%) answered the use of learning media in the less category, 14 respondents (21%) answered the use of learning media in the moderate category, and 28 respondents (41%) answered the use of learning media in the high category. Then, based on the results of the questionnaire on learning motivation, it can be seen that 68 respondents who were the subjects of the study, 27 respondents (40%) had less motivation, 14 respondents (20%) had sufficient motivation, and 27 respondents (40%) had good motivation. Thus, this study recommends the use of learning media as a strategy to increase the effectiveness of learning Akidah Akhlak at MAS Ushuluddin Singkawang.

Abstract

The strategy of exploring the optimal potential of early childhood involves a holistic approach that includes physical, cognitive, emotional, and social aspects. These strategies include providing developmentally appropriate stimulation through educational play activities, supporting exploration and creativity, and building positive interactions between the child and the environment. It is also important to create a safe and supportive environment, provide balanced nutrition, and ensure strong emotional support. An individualised approach that takes into account each child's unique needs and interests helps maximise their optimal development. The study in this research uses the literature method. The results showed that Genetic factors, stimulative environment, good nutrition, and psychosocial support were identified as key elements that contribute to child development. Genetic factors provide the biological foundation for growth and development, but full potential can be realised through positive interactions with the environment. An environment rich in stimulants and diverse learning experiences, as well as adequate nutrition play an important role in optimal cognitive and physical development. In addition, families play a crucial role in providing emotional and social support for children's development. Through a holistic approach that considers these various factors, parents and caregivers can help children achieve optimal development in the early years, which will lay the foundation for future development. The results of this review emphasise the importance of multi-faceted involvement in the early childhood care and education process to ensure the achievement of their full potential.

Abstract

Literary studies that highlight the relationship between humans and the environment are essential for understanding how ecological values are represented and passed down through literary texts. This study aims to analyze the representation of the relationship between humans and the environment in *Semasa Kecil di Kampung* through the lens of literary ecology. The study employs a qualitative approach using content analysis of the text, utilizing the ecocritical framework proposed by Glotfelty, Garrard, and Buell, which views nature as an active element in the construction of meaning. The results of the study indicate that the relationship between humans and the environment is represented through two main categories: cosmic ecology and spatial ecology. Cosmic ecology portrays human life as part of the universe’s cycle, encompassing birth, death, and the interpretation of natural phenomena as a cosmological order imbued with moral and spiritual significance. Meanwhile, spatial ecology portrays the natural environment as a place, dwelling, and wilderness that shapes the characters’ identities, social structures, and inner consciousness through spaces such as valleys, rivers, forests, and hills. This study concludes that the work represents nature not as a passive backdrop, but as an active ecological element that reflects the local wisdom of the Minangkabau people in building a harmonious relationship between humans and the environment.
