Abstract

Travel planning popularized by influencers sparks audiences to review destinations based on image and attractiveness before designing a trip alone, with family, with friends, or as a couple. This research offers ideas to analyze the sentiment of travelers who use hotel accommodation services in Makassar based on Tripadvisor website review data. The method used is the Cross-Industry Standard Procedure for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) with the following stages: business understanding stage, data understanding stage, data preparation stage, modeling stage, evaluation stage, and deployment stage. The results of this study show that the business understanding stage shows the importance of identifying and analyzing tourist behavior related to the assessment of location, cleanliness, service, and hotel value as a strategic step to develop a hotel imaging program to attract tourists with guest characteristics (solo, couple, business, family). The data understanding stage refers to the features processed according to the CRISP-DM method and supporting data for analysis and discussion of the context of Tripadvisor's Top 10 recommended hotels in Makassar. At the data preparation stage, the amount of text data that has been processed using the Decision Tree (DT) algorithm and Support Vector Machine  (SVM) is 1,138 through data pre-processing (tokenize, transform cases, filter tokens by length, stopwords, stemming). At the modeling stage, the algorithm that shows the best performance is SVM, with an accuracy value of 98.98%, a precision value of 100%, a recall value of 97.96%, an f-measure discount of 98.97%, and an AUC value of 100%. At the evaluation stage, it can be seen that the classification of reviews is dominant on positive sentiment compared to negative sentiment. Thus, the recommendation for the deployment stage is optimizing products and services related to room amenities, room features, room type, cleanliness, service, value, and location.

Abstract

The manual nature of Material Store such as Toko Bangunan Berkat Rezeki's current business operations is one of the hurdles it encounters in marketing. This study intends to build a marketing information system for the products and services of Toko Bangunan Berkat Rezeki utilizing the 4P marketing mix idea (product, price, place, and promotion). The framework for application design is design thinking, which includes empathy, defining, ideating, prototyping, and test phases. Business owners, employees, and customer's requirements are identified during the empathize phase. In addition, at the designated stage, each system user's business operational difficulties are ranked according to a scale of importance. At the ideate stage, the outcomes of selecting and organizing problems and wants of system users based on priority scales are used to create flows and authorities according to their respective functions. At the prototype stage, the application interface is designed based on the demands and rules of system users and follows the 4P marketing mix concept. In the testing phase, test the login procedure for each user and the procedures for adding, saving, viewing, updating, and removing data. The findings of this study indicate that information on products, product prices, and product promotions may be handled by a website-based marketing information system, such that place is no longer synonymous with a physical store but rather an intangible one. Consequently, Toko Bangunan Berkat Rezeki can employ a website-based marketing information system to enhance sales volume and expand its market reach.

Abstract

Finding a secure and comfortable parking space is one of the needs of automobile owners when they visit retail centers. The ability of parking lot managers to provide information on sufficient capacity and access presents a barrier to delivering parking facilities in retail centers. Due to this, a website-based parking facility management information system is required, allowing drivers to make reservations and payments online based on when they plan to visit the shopping center. The method used in the design of ParkHere information systems is design thinking which consists of empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing stages. The output of this study shows that at the empathize stage, motorists need information about the capacity of parking lots in various shopping centers before visiting the location. At the defined stage, this shows the need for motorists for website-based and real-time parking facility information. At the idea stage, it is necessary to design an information system based on the website that provides information on the capacity of parking facilities based on the operational time of the shopping center. At the prototype and testing stages, the ParkHere information system can answer the user's needs in choosing a place and location for vehicle parking based on the specified time.

Abstract

Vegetation index analysis using the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) model needs to be processed using a decision support model to follow up on the Landsat 8/9 Operational Land Imaginer (OLI) satellite image data interpretation results. However, studies using the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method to determine priority zones based on vegetation index classification data are still limited. This study uses the SMART decision support model to process NDVI classification data in mangrove areas. The stages in this study consist of four parts: the data collection stage, the data processing stage; the data analysis stage; and the data interpretation stage. At the data collection stage, the raster data used was sourced from the United States Geology Survey (USGS) platform, namely Landsat 8/9 OLI with coordinate raster data (Lat 01o43'18" N, Lon: 128o04'15" E) in 2013, 2018, and 2023. In addition, video and aerial photographs at the study site were taken using drones (Phantom 4 Version 2). At the data processing stage, the model used in calculating raster data is NDVI using the QGIS 3.30.1 application. This research data analysis and interpretation stage uses the SMART decision support model. The SMART decision support model is used to produce recommendations for priority zones for mangrove ecotourism development based on the results of the NDVI classification (minimum value, average value, maximum value) adjusted to the Decree of the State Minister of Environment Number 201 of 2004 concerning standard criteria and guidelines for mangrove forest destruction (rare, medium, and dense). Based on the calculation of the utility value of criterion C1 as a cost with a weight of 0.50 in the NDVI classification data for 2023, the second observation station is recommended as a priority zone with a total value of 0.50. Meanwhile, the calculation of the utility value of criterion C3 as a cost with a weight of 0.50 in the NDVI classification data in 2023 recommended the third observation station as a priority zone with a total value of 0.88. This means that the SMART method can be used to identify and analyze priority and alternative zones for the sustainable development of mangrove ecotourism areas.
