Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan perilaku inovatif Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Kuala Bubon. Penelitian ini menggambarkan bagaimana UMKM tersebut mencoba berinovasi dengan banyaknya hambatan dan keterbatasan. Mereka juga mengalami kegagalan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Kegagalan ini disebabkan tidak adanya permbinaan jangka panjang dalam perubahan digital dan inovasi pada UMKM. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Pendekatan deskriptif mengarah pada perumusan masalah yang membimbing penelitian untuk menggali atau menggambarkan situasi sosial yang akan diteliti secara menyeluruh, mendalam, dan luas pada UMKM ikan asin di Aceh Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendampingan dan respon sistem internal mempengaruhi inovasi dan perubahan teknologi digital pada UMKM. Perilaku inovatif UMKM dipengaruhi oleh komunikasi tercangkup dalam dukungan pemerintan, dunia usaha, dan sektor pendidikan tinggi serta masyarakat lokal. Permasalahan lainnya yang masih terlihat adalah kurangnya integrasi dan sinergi berbagai elemen ekosistem UMKM digital untuk menjamin pembangunan berkelanjutan di masa depan.

Abstract

Tarawangsa is a traditional musical instrument from West Java that has distinctive sound characteristics and is often used in various traditional ritual ceremonies. However, in the modern era, the younger generation's interest in this cultural heritage has begun to fade due to the dominating influence of contemporary music. The purpose of writing this report is to explain the application of L Cut and J Cut editing techniques in the video feature Merangkai Tradisi dan Eksplorasi Modern Tarawangsa Sumedang and to introduce and preserve Tarawangsa music through collaboration with modern music that can attract the attention of the younger generation without losing its traditional essence. The method of creating this video feature includes three stages, namely the pre-production stage or designing and planning the work, the production stage or recording visual and narrative elements, and the post-production stage or editing and finalizing the work. The result of the application of these techniques is a video that is not only visually appealing, but also able to convey messages effectively about the preservation of Tarawangsa music. In conclusion, the use of L Cut and J Cut in the video feature Merangkai Tradisi dan Eksplorasi Modern Tarawangsa Sumedang can convey the message of culture, history, and preservation of the Tarawangsa Arts in a more dynamic and fun way.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses strategi media relations PT Astra International dalam mempublikasikan Program SATU Indonesia. Penelitian ini diajukan sebagai salah satu persyaratan untuk menempuh ujian sarjana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Konsep yang digunakan adalah konsep strategi media relations dari Frank Jefkins. Sementara itu, untuk mengumpulkan data, penulis melakukan, wawancara, observasi, dan studi kepustakaan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Kota Jakarta tepatnya di Kantor PT Astra International Tbk. Hasil penelian ini adalah petugas humas PT Astra International memiliki persamaan filosofi mengenai tujuan dari program SATU Indonesia yang memudahkan petugas humas untuk memahami dan melayani PT Tempo Group dalam upaya publikasi, kemudian penggunaan rubrik – rubrik yang independen serta narasumber yang berkredibel menjadi strategi untuk meningkatkan reputasi perusahaa, petugas humas PT Astra International juga menyediakan press release, straight news dan feature news dalam penyediaan naskah informasi, selain itu juga petugas humas PT Astra International menyediakan waktu untuk melakukan meeting mingguan sebagai fasilitas verifikasi bagi awak media PT Tempo untuk memverifikasi setiap informasi yang didapatkan untuk kebutuhan publikasi acara, dan dalam membangun hubungan personal dengan awak media, petugas humas PT Astra International tetap menghargai dan menghormati profesi masing–masing sehingga tidak ada konflik yang terjadi antara petugas humas dengan awak media karena adanya campur tangan dalam melaksanakan profesi masing–masing.

Abstract

The tourist village in Sukabumi Regency possess significant tourism potential. However, the management of tourism destinations remains suboptimal. Additionally, the lack of skills and competencies among tourism actors presents a major constraint on the development of the region's tourism sector. This training program aims to enhance the capacity, quality, and roles of stakeholders in the tourism sector of Sukabumi Regency, particularly in relation to tourism communication. The training approach employed lectures, group discussions, and simulations (role playing), involving participants from tourism practitioners and enthusiasts across the tourist villages in Sukabumi Regency. The results of the training indicate an improvement in the abilities and skills of tourism actors in managing and effectively promoting tourism destinations.

Abstract

General Background: Food waste is a pressing global issue, with significant environmental and social implications. Effective communication strategies are essential for raising awareness and driving action in food rescue initiatives. Specific Background: Food Bank Bandung utilizes data-driven storytelling on Instagram to address food waste, employing techniques such as narrative communication, data explanation, and structured content presentation. While these methods enhance audience engagement by merging emotional narratives with empirical data, challenges remain in ensuring data transparency and fostering long-term audience engagement. Knowledge Gap: Despite the apparent effectiveness of data-driven storytelling, limited research exists on its application in the context of food rescue initiatives, particularly regarding audience comprehension and the consistency of data updates. Aims: This study aims to provide an in-depth evaluation of the strategies employed by Food Bank Bandung in their data-driven storytelling efforts on Instagram, focusing on how these strategies shape impactful narratives for local audiences. Results: Through qualitative descriptive methods, including in-depth interviews with operational teams and content analysis of Instagram publications, the study reveals that Food Bank Bandung effectively enhances public awareness and trust by transparently presenting operational data on food rescue activities. However, challenges such as inconsistent data updates and audience misunderstanding of data remain. Novelty: This research contributes to the field of communication studies by elucidating the specific strategies used in data-driven storytelling for food rescue, highlighting the intersection of narrative engagement and data transparency. Implications: The findings underscore the need for improved data presentation techniques and regular updates to enhance audience comprehension, ultimately advancing the effectiveness of food rescue campaigns in urban settings.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of organizational communication climate on employee work motivation at the Banyuasin Regency Revenue Agency. Effective communication is important for fostering positive employee attitudes, encouraging participation, and increasing motivation to achieve organizational goals. In the public sector, communication supports employee performance and service quality. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design, and the research population consisted of 140 civil servants (ASN). The sampling technique was total sampling, and data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression, supported by validity and reliability tests.The results of the study indicate that organizational communication climate has a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation. A good climate, with trust, openness, and supportive leadership contributes to work motivation. It is recommended that organizational leaders strengthen communication practices to improve motivation and organizational effectiveness.

Abstract

The animated work Green Log: Where The Package Meets Planet, explores the environmental impact of urban logistics activities through a minimalist yet informative flat design visual approach, utilizing actual air quality data (Jakarta AQI), delivery vehicle emission patterns, as well as case studies of sustainable solutions such as the implementation of electric vehicles in the IKN and global practices of companies such as Amazon. The creation process begins with quantitative research on logistics-related pollution patterns, the development of visual narratives based on motion graphics principles with graphic match-cut techniques for symbolic transitions between problems and solutions, to the production of 2D animations that optimize the green-blue color palette and simple geometric elements to convey the complexity of environmental issues more easily digested. The final result, a 3-minute animated video, not only visualizes the relationship between 166 million monthly deliveries and the degradation of Jakarta's air quality, but also offers a solution perspective through the visualization of the transformation of conventional logistics systems towards sustainable models, with the hope of increasing public awareness and encouraging discussions about green transportation policies in Indonesia

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia has impacts on disabilities. The private sector can help empower them through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). SIRCLO is one company that initiated CSR with Difalink through the #BelajarBarengMentor Program. During the implementation, several problems were faced by SIRCLO and Difalink, even though the proper implementation of CSR can benefit the company. This study aims to determine (1) How the Plan, (2) How the Implementation, (3) How the Checking, and (4) How the Evaluation in the Implementation Management of CSR in the #BelajarBarengMentor Program with analysis using the Hohnen CSR implementation model (Plan, Do, Check, and Improve). The method used is a qualitative descriptive study with data collection through interviews, observations, and literature studies. The validity of this research uses source triangulation. The study's results revealed similarities with the Hohnen model. On (1) Planning, assessment, and strategy development were initiated, but the research needed more depth and detail. On (2) Implementation, focus on program development and execution, but there are some technical problems and exposures. On (3) Checking; it had not been conducted effectively, and on (4) Evaluation; there are several evaluations and suggestions, such as the need for solid planning and a dedicated team. The suggestions given are (1) Planning; conducting in-depth research, (2) Implementation; making alternative implementation options based on research, (3) Checking; conducting the monitoring according to the concept of CSR, and (4) Evaluation; conducting solid planning and create a dedicated team for sustainable plans.

Abstract

Perebutan kekuasaan melalui kegiatan pemilihan umum menjadi hal yang baru dalam sistem ketatanegaraan Indonesia dengan diterapkannya sistem pemilihan langsung secara serentak di daerah. Pemilihan langsung di daerah memberikan peluang strategis bagi masyarakat sebagai penentu dalam mengarahkan pembangunan daerahnya di masa depan. Masyarakat memiliki daya tawar yang tinggi bagi seorang kandidat yang bertarung di Pilkada, sehingga perilaku masyarakat berpolitik dalam Pilkada menjadi sangat penting untuk diperhatikan. Pemilih pemula yang merupakan bagian dari masyarakat, memiliki perilaku komunikasi politik tersendiri dalam menentukan pilihannya. Metode pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan jenis data deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, sebagian besar pemilih pemula sangat terbuka terhadap perubahan secara kultural, pendidikan, maupun teknologi yang disampaikan melalui media massa dan komunikasi antarpesona sehingga memunculkan karakteristik pemilih pemula yang memilih pemimpin berdasarkan pertimbangan rasional, psikologis, dan sosiologis
