Abstract

This study is motivated by the observation that during the teaching and learning process of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS), many students still demonstrate low learning motivation. The use of conventional teaching methods, such as lectures and written assignments, tends to be less effective in attracting students' interest. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of interactive media in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject for third-grade students at SD Negeri 056034 Alur Cempedak and to determine whether the use of interactive media can improve students' learning motivation in this subject. This study employs a classroom action research design, consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects are third-grade students at SD Negeri 056034 Alur Cempedak. The results of data analysis indicate that the use of interactive media can enhance students' learning motivation in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. Observation results show an increase in student engagement from the first cycle to the second, with the average score rising from 71.27% (categorized as fair) to 81% (categorized as good). It can be concluded that the use of interactive media can improve the learning motivation of third-grade students in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject at SD Negeri 056034 Alur Cempedak.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of low mathematics learning outcomes on fraction material in class IV of SDN 058119 Pematang Sentang, where only 26.67% of students were able to achieve the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) of 65. The main problem stems from the use of conventional lecture methods which cause students to become passive and have difficulty understanding abstract fraction concepts. The purpose of this study is to improve mathematics learning outcomes through the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) type cooperative learning model. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the spiral design of the Kemmis and McTaggart model carried out in two cycles for 15 class IV students. Data collection techniques included learning outcome tests and student activity observations. The results showed a consistent improvement, where classical learning completeness in the pre-cycle was 26.67% (4 students) with an average of 54.67, increased to 60.00% (9 students) with an average of 68.40 in cycle I, and reached a maximum completeness of 100.00% (15 students) with an average of 79.67 in cycle II. Student participation activity also increased significantly from "fair" to "excellent" criteria. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the NHT model effectively transforms the quality of learning by encouraging individual responsibility through a numbering system and group collaboration in the "heads together" phase so that student learning outcomes can improve optimally.

Abstract

The development of communication and collaboration skills constitutes a critical demand in 21st-century learning. However, classroom practices remain predominantly teacher-centered, limiting students’ opportunities to actively engage in scientific investigation and collaborative work. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Investigation-Based Scientific Collaborative (IBSC) learning model in enhancing students’ communication and collaboration skills. This research employed a quasi-experimental design involving students as research participants. The experimental group received instruction using the IBSC model, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through assessment instruments measuring communication and collaboration skills, observation sheets, and supporting documentation. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistics to determine differences between the two groups. The findings indicate that students taught using the IBSC model demonstrate significantly higher communication and collaboration skills compared to those taught through conventional learning. The IBSC model promotes active student engagement in investigative activities, scientific discussions, and collaborative problem-solving, thereby positively influencing their ability to communicate and work effectively in teams. This study concludes that the Investigation-Based Scientific Collaborative (IBSC) learning model is effective as an alternative instructional approach for developing students’ communication and collaboration skills.

Abstract

Clustering is one of the roles in data mining which is very popularly used for data problems in solving everyday problems. Various algorithms and methods can support clustering such as Apriori. The Apriori algorithm is an algorithm that applies unsupervised learning in completing association and clustering tasks so that the Apriori algorithm is able to complete clustering analysis in Uninhabitable Houses and gain new knowledge about associations. Where the results show that the combination of 2 itemsets with a tendency value for Gas Stove fuel of 3 kg and the installed power meter for the attribute item criteria results in a minimum support value of 77% and a minimum confidence value of 87%. This proves that a priori is capable of clustering Uninhabitable Houses to help government work programs.
