Abstract

Gugus 2 Kecamatan Cipicung Kabupaten Kuningan terdiri dari 9 sekolah dasar. Masing-masing sekolah memiliki 9 guru kelas yang tergabung dalam sebuah Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) Gugus 2. Sehingga anggota KKG di Gugus 2 Kecamatan Cipicung berjumlah 54 orang untuk guru kelas. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan ketua KKG Gugus 2 kecamatan Cipicung ini bahwa kondisi lingkungan kecamatan Cipicung ini memang bervariasi. Beberapa Sekolah Dasar yang tergabung dalam gugus 2 ini termasuk ke dalam daerah terpencil. Akses menuju kesana cukup jauh dan medan yang ditempuh agak sulit, jalannya yang banyak rusak dan berlubang. Sehingga diantaranya SD Suganangan termasuk ke dalam sekolah daerah terpencil. Permasalahan di mitra adalah kurangnya inovasi SDM dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Sehingga perlunya solusi transfer teknologi mengenai Mathematics in Contexs yang dituangkan dalam sebuah RPP atau Lesson Plan, dalam pengabdian ini perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah RPP. Target luaran yang ingin dicapai meliputi: Keterampilan mengajar pendidik, Kreativitas dan inovasi pendidik dalam proses pembelajaran utuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik serta terciptanya suasana pembelajaran yang menyenangkan. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan pada kegiatan PKM ini meliputi metode transfer teknologi dan pendampingan berkelanjutan dari Tim Pelaksana kepada mitra secara bertahap selama 4-5 pertemuan. Hasil PkM ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai Lesson Plan MiC sebesar 0,33 atau peningkatan dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Effective education in this context involves preparing students to explore and apply mathematical knowledge in various situations, providing a strong foundation for the development of intelligence and thinking skills. This research focuses on the challenges faced by 4th-grade students at SDN 4 Sukajaya in solving word problems related to multiplication of whole numbers. The object of this study is the students' difficulty in understanding the concept of multiplication, while the subjects are 10 students who experience difficulties and a class teacher. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach, aiming to provide a detailed account of the problems faced by students. The study found learning obstacles among 4th-grade students at SDN 4 Sukajaya in solving word problems involving the concept of multiplication of whole numbers. These obstacles include: 1) difficulty in understanding the problems, 2) difficulty in identifying mathematical concepts, and 3) difficulty in calculations. The contributing factors are: 1) internal factors, such as motivation, intelligence, behavior, attitude, and students' physical condition (e.g., fatigue), and 2) external factors, such as facilities, teacher quality, and curriculum. Efforts to address these obstacles include: regular problem-solving practice, the use of varied and enjoyable teaching methods and media to boost motivation, and cooperation between teachers and students in monitoring learning progress

Abstract

This research the issue of low student performance in science. Specifically on the topic of metamorphosis, as indicated by test results. The average science scores of Glade IV student remain below the desired standards. At SD Negeri 3 Cibalong, for instance, results from a recent test show that out of 29 students, only 14 (or 48%) achieved scores above the Mininum Completeness Criteria (KKM) , while 15 students (or  52%) scored below, it with an average score or 50.4 against the KKM benchmark of 70. To address this, classroom action research (PTK) was conducted in two cycles to measure significant progress. In the first cycle, the learning outcomes improved to 90,62%. Due to a more engaging and dynamic learning approach, the second cycle saw further improvement, reaching 93,75% and increase of 3,13% teacher activity in managing the learning process also showed growth, with an increase from 89, 28% in the first cycle, despite some obstacles, to 93,10% in the second cycle, marking a gain of 4, 18%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan permasalahan yang ditemukan di kelas V SDN 4 Gununglipung, yaitu peserta didik memiliki motivasi belajar yang kurang, disebabkan karena dalam pembelajaran guru yang tidak bervariasi, hal ini menyebabkan peserta didik mudah bosan ketika melaksanakan kegiatan pemebelajaran karena kegiatan pembelajaran lebih banyak berpusat pada guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningktakan motivasi belajar peserta didik. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 22 peserta didik 11 peserta didik laki-laki dan 11 peserta didik perempuan. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa dukumenter, penyebaran angket dan observasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis, kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik, yang dibuktikan dengan meningkatnya persentase analisis angket skor motivasi belajar, pada pra siklus sebesar 50,54%, siklus I sebesar 69,09% meningkat pada siklus II menjadi 76,40%. Dari hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan jika model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

SD Negeri 1 Susukan, located in Cipicung sub-district, Kuningan district, is an elementary school in Cipicung sub-district that still has B accreditation. SD Negeri 1 Susukan is located in Cipicung sub-district which has environmental conditions that are included in remote areas. The access to get there is quite far and the terrain is rather difficult, the road is damaged and has many holes. The background to parents' low understanding of the importance of parenting is the low level of parental education and the lack of parenting activities at SDN 1 Susukan. The importance of parents' understanding is not only about cognitive development (students' mathematical problem solving ability) but also students' psychological well being that needs to be considered by teachers and parents. The solution offered is to conduct workshop activities for parents regarding the importance of the learning process, especially in students' mathematical problem solving ability and workshops for parents regarding the importance of students' psychological well beingin the learning process in elementary school. The implementation method used in this PKM activity includes the method of technology transfer and continuous mentoring from the Implementation Team to partners in stages for 4-5 meetings. The results of this service are an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of psychological well being to facilitate problem solving skills by 0.40 with a moderate category.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' mathematical problem-solving skills through the use of the Dakon Math teaching aid. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 30 fifth-grade students. Data collection techniques included observation, tests, and documentation. The research instruments consisted of observation sheets for teacher and student activities, as well as test questions in the form of story problems that measure problem-solving abilities. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' mathematical problem-solving skills from the pre-action phase to cycles I and II. The average score of students in the pre-action phase was 55.50, with a completeness rate of only 16.66%. After implementing the Dakon Math teaching aid, the average score in cycle I increased to 72.73 with a completeness rate of 56.67%, and in cycle II, it further rose to 79.27 with a completeness rate of 83.33%. These results demonstrate that the use of the Dakon Math teaching aid effectively aids students in understanding the fundamental concept of LCM and enhances their problem-solving abilities. Thus, it can be concluded that the Dakon Math teaching aid can serve as an effective alternative media for improving students’ mathematical problem-solving skills in the LCM topic at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh metode GASING (Gampang, Asyik, dan Menyenangkan) terhadap keterampilan berhitung siswa kelas III pada materi pengurangan di SDN 1 Cilangkap. Latar belakangnya adalah rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam pengurangan serta dominasi metode ceramah yang membuat siswa kurang aktif. Metode GASING dinilai mampu meningkatkan pemahaman melalui pendekatan konkret, abstrak, dan mencongak. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain quasi experimental dan uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil menunjukkan rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,5322 (sedang) dan kontrol 0,1383 (rendah). Nilai Asymp. Sig. 0,017 < 0,05 menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar kedua kelas. Dengan demikian, metode GASING efektif meningkatkan keterampilan berhitung. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penerapan metode GASING dalam pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Kenakalan siswa sekolah dasar dapat mengganggu proses pembelajaran dan pembentukan karakter. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran guru dalam menangani kenakalan siswa kelas III di SDN 3 Sukasari Kota Tasikmalaya. Pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif digunakan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi satu guru kelas III dan lima siswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kenakalan seperti berkata kasar, mengejek, mencontek, dan membolos dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal (kontrol diri, motivasi) dan eksternal (pola asuh, lingkungan). Guru menerapkan strategi preventif seperti penanaman nilai karakter, serta pendekatan represif berupa pembinaan pribadi dan komunikasi dengan orang tua. Peran guru terbukti penting dalam membentuk perilaku positif siswa. Studi ini merekomendasikan kolaborasi intensif antara guru dan orang tua sebagai langkah efektif dalam pencegahan kenakalan sejak dini.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of difficulties students face and the underlying factors contributing to these challenges in solving stacked multiplication problems. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach involving six fourth-grade students, selected based on their ability levels (high, medium, low) from test results. Data collection techniques include tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data display, conclusion, and verification. The research findings indicate that students experience difficulties in aspects of concepts and principles (procedural). Conceptual difficulties include mistakes in calculating multiplication results and retaining numbers, while procedural difficulties are shown by incomplete working steps and inaccuracy in adding retained numbers. The causes of these difficulties include internal factors, such as a low mastery of basic multiplication, understanding of place value concepts, and the procedure for column multiplication, as well as external factors in the form of teaching methods from teachers that are not yet fully effective. Students' difficulties in solving multi-step multiplication problems are caused by a weak understanding of concepts and systematic working procedures, hence a more concrete and repetitive learning approach is needed. Strategies that can be applied to minimize students' difficulties include the use of the finger math method, Dienes block manipulatives, as well as providing regular and gradual exercise problems.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low cognitive achievement of students in mathematics, particularly in division, with 61.90% of students not meeting the Minimum Mastery Criteria. The study aims to improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in understanding whole number division through the use of a concrete teaching medium, the counting box. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles at SD Negeri Mangkubumi, Tasikmalaya, involving 21 students. Data were collected through observations and written tests. The research followed the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with the average score increasing from 65.71 in the pre-cycle to 88.81 in the first cycle and 93.10 in the second cycle. The use of the counting box media enhanced students’ understanding through concrete and visual learning experiences, which led to greater engagement and improved mastery of concepts. These findings indicate that concrete media such as the counting box can be effectively used in primary mathematics instruction to support students’ achievement in basic arithmetic operations.
