Abstract

Special Rental Transport Arrangements, as one type of transportation of people with public motor vehicles on the road, are a response to the use of information technology as a medium of liaison between transporters and prospective passengers of public motor vehicles. But the arrangement does not place ASK complementary to other types of public transport services. The results showed that there was a different permit treatment between special rental transportation and transportation of people with public motorized vehicles not on other routes. The difference makes it easier for special rental transportation, compared to other types of transportation services. The difference is, first, the requirements for obtaining a license for a special rental transportation operator company, second, the condition that the vehicle must have proof of passing periodic tests, and third, the driver must have a General Driver's License. The norm of PM 118 of 2018 which provides the convenience (privilege) of licensing, is contrary to the norms of UULLAJ, PP Number 74 of 2014, and PM Number 117 of 2018. So that in fact, the norms of PM 118 of 2018 are void and non-binding because they conflict with legal norms that have a higher position, namely the norms of UULLAJ and PP Number 74 of 2014.

Abstract

Mathematics learning, especially in the topic of word problems, remains a challenge for elementary school students because it requires the ability to understand context, reasoning, and problem solving. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving the ability of sixth-grade students of SDN Pengadegan 07 Pancoran, South Jakarta, in solving mathematical word problems on the topic of comparison, as well as identifying the process and obstacles in its implementation. This study used a mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. The research sample consisted of 30 sixth-grade students. The initial hypothesis of this study was that the implementation of the PBL model had an effect on students' ability to solve mathematical word problems. Quantitative data were obtained through a test of the ability to solve word problems, while qualitative data were collected through observations and interviews with teachers and students. The pretest results showed a moderate average initial ability score of 50. The results of the study showed that the implementation of PBL was able to improve students' abilities, indicated by a high average test score of 84 and increased student activity and participation in learning. Furthermore, the results of the paired sample t-test revealed a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05), which confirmed that the increase was significant. Qualitative data also showed that PBL helped students understand problems more deeply through discussions and contextual problem solving, despite obstacles such as limited learning time and low reading comprehension skills of some students.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering students’ learning creativity at SMKN 2 Pangkep. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The analysis involved data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain valid and comprehensive findings. The results show that PAI teachers play several essential roles in the learning process, including those of murabbi (educator and nurturer of character), mu‘allim (provider of knowledge), mu’addib (moral guide), mudarris (classroom teacher), mursyid (spiritual mentor), and ustadz (religious role model). To realize these roles, teachers apply various creative learning strategies such as interactive discussions, project-based and contextual learning, simulations, motivation sessions, and the use of digital media. These methods help create a learning environment that is active, engaging, and conducive to creativity. The study also finds that students demonstrate several forms of creativity, including confidence in expressing opinions, critical and analytical thinking, collaboration, the ability to produce Islamic-based works, and active involvement in religious and social activities. Such outcomes show that creativity in Islamic education is holistic, encompassing intellectual, moral, and spiritual dimensions. Overall, this study highlights the crucial role of PAI teachers in developing students who are not only religiously observant but also creative, innovative, and adaptable to modern educational challenges. The integration of Islamic values with technological advancements strengthens the relevance of Islamic Religious Education in shaping learners with balanced faith, knowledge, and character.

Abstract

In Silico Study of Steroid Compound Activity Against Breast Cancer Using Estrogen Alpha (ER-α). Breast cancer is the second worldwide leading cause of cancer death in women after lung cancer. Steroids are a group of active compounds isolated from the Chisocheton genus that has activity against MCF-7 breast cancer cells. This study aimed to determine the interaction activity of steroid compounds against alpha estrogen receptor (ER-α) through in silico method specifically mlecular docking. The modeling of the three-dimensional structure (3D) of steroid compounds was performed by considering their protonation states at pH 7.4. The in silico method was validated by redocking the crystal structure of ER-α until obtaining an RMSD value < 2 Å, using the AutoDock 4.2.6 program. Steroids compounds were screened with the same program namely the molecular docking method. Screening results show that the free energy values of the steroid compounds were -10.08 kcal/mol (7α-hydroxy-β-sitosterol) and -10.75 kcal/mol (stigmast-5-en-3β-ol), which are stronger than estradiol (-9.62 kcal/mol) as native ligand of ER-α. Both of these compounds can inhibit the alpha estrogen receptor, in which the stigmast-5-en-3β-ol compound has a greater potential because of its lower free energy value. This finding indicates that modification of the compound's structure could change the binding energy value and interaction between ligands and receptors.
