Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian dilatarbelakangi pertentangan opini mengenai hubungan matematika dengan budaya, yang mengarah pada ethnomathematics. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui serta mendeskripsikan etnomatematika pada pembuatan Payung Geulis Tasikmalaya. Metode penelitian yaitu kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Subjek penelitian dipilih melalui metode purposive sampling, yaitu tiga orang pengrajin Payung Geulis yang berada di Panyingkiran, Indihiang, Kota Tasikmalaya serta telah menjadi pengrajin selama lebih dari 10 tahun. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Instrumen penelitian yaitu peneliti sendiri dengan didukung beberapa instrumen lainnya yaitu pedoman observasi, pedoman wawancara, alat rekam dan kamera. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan menarik kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat kaitan antara Payung Geulis dengan matematika yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya unsur-unsur matematika berdasarkan konsep geometri. Konsep geometri tersebut diantaranya berupa geometri bangun datar, geometri bangun ruang, simetri, geometri transformasi (refleksi, translasi, dan rotasi) serta kekongruenan. Ethnomathematics Study of Payung Geulis Craftmans Tasikmalaya  AbstractResearch is motivated by conflicting opinions about the relationship between mathematics and culture, which leads to ethnomathematics. This research aims to determine and describe ethnomathematics in the manufacture of Tasikmalaya Geulis Umbrellas. The research method is qualitative with ethnographic methods. The subjects in this study were selected using a purposive sampling method where the subject was a Payulis Geulis craftsman in Panyingkiran, Indihiang, Tasikmalaya City and had been a craftsman for more than 10 years. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. The research instrument was the researcher himself, supported by several other instruments, namely observation guidelines, interview guidelines, recording equipment, and cameras. Data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions or verification. Based on the results of data analysis, it was concluded that there is a relationship between Umbrella Geulis with mathematics which is indicated by the existence of mathematical elements based on the concept of geometry. The geometrical concepts include the geometry of the flat structure, geometry of geometry, symmetry, the geometry of transformation (reflection, translation, and rotation) and concordance.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan  untuk mengetahui pengaruh positif  penggunaan model Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematik peserta didik dan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kemandirian belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan  model Project Based Learning. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu peserta didik kelas X SMA Negeri 3 Tasikmalaya. Sampel diambil secara acak menurut kelas, kelas yang menjadi sampel yaitu kelas X-1 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 33 orang peserta didik dan kelas X-3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang berjumlah 34 orang peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah matematik peserta didik dan lembar observasi kemandirian belajar peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian analisis data, dan uji hipotesis dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif penggunaan model Project Based Learning terhadap kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah eatif matematik peserta didik dan kemandirian belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan  model Project Based Learning memperoleh kategori tinggi.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine a positive contribution of the usage of discovery learning model to the mathematics creative thinking abilities of students and to find out how students’ learning activities by using its model. The method used was experimental research. The population in this study were students of class-VIII SMP. Samples were taken randomly by class. Instruments used were the test of mathematical creative thinking abilities and observation sheets activities. The results showed a positive influence of the usage of discovery learning model to the mathematics creative thinking abilities of students. Students’ learning activities through discovery model were included in active level.

Abstract

Nantang Village is an area that is prone to movement of the land, and is a hilly area. The location of soil movement occurs mostly in plantation areas which are located on hillside, has a low level of soil stability and can cause soil movement if there is a change of plants from strong and deep roots to small-rooted plants. To be able to overcome soil movements that can cause landslides, jackfruit seedlings are planted in areas prone to soil movement. The development of farmer household food security is carried out by training and counseling on planting vegetables in polybags and raising catfish in buckets which are expected to ensure adequate, safe, quality, nutritious food availability and food consumption, and close to the community itself. Community Service Activities Food Security Schemes (PbM-KP) can provide benefits and conveniences for the community in meeting their daily needs to get vegetables and fish.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan salah satu upaya untuk membuktikan adanya keterkaitan antara budaya dengan matematika, dan untuk merubah paradigma masyarakat yang menganggap bahwa matematika tidak ada kaitannya dengan budaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui filosofi dari kalender sunda dan konsep-konsep matematika yang terdapat pada kalender Sunda yang ditinjau dari perhitungan penyusunannya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kediaman pakar kalender sunda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam Kalender Sunda terdapat nama dan istilah yang kaya akan filosofi dan makna, serta adanya keterkaitan antara matematika dengan budaya yang dapat ditunjukkan dengan adanya konsep matematis pada sistem kalender Sunda seperti kaidah pencacahan dalam pancawuku atau selapan, konsep pembagian pada penentuan tunggul taun, dan konsep modulo pada penentuan indung poe, dewa taun, naktu taun, naktu bulan, naktu tanggal, dan menentukan suatu tanggal.This research is an attempt to prove the relationship between culture and mathematics and tries to straighten out the paradigm of society which considers mathematics to be complex and has nothing to do with mathematics and culture. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical concepts contained in the Sundanese calendar in terms of computation calculations. This research is qualitative research with an ethnographic method. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, and field notes. This research was conducted at the residence of Mrs. Miranda Halimah Wihardja an expert on the Sundanese calendar. The results of this study indicate that in the Sundanese calendar some names and terms are rich in philosophy and meaning, and there is a link between mathematics and culture which can be shown by the existence of mathematical concepts in the Sundanese calendar system such as the rules of enumeration in pancawuku or selapan, the concept of division in determining the stump of the year, and the concept of modulo in determining the parent poe, the god of the year, the time of the year, the time of the month, the time of the date, and the determination of a date.

Abstract

Persoalan manajemen sampah rumah tangga pemanfaatan lahan pekarangan menjadi problem utama masyarakat Kelurahan Cigantang. Luas lahan pertanian berbanding terbalik dengan produktivitas warga dalam hal pemanfaatan lahan, hal ini diakibatkan kurangnya pengetahuan dan informasi terhadap cara mengelola dan memanfaatkan lahan tak terpakai, yaitu lahan pekarangan rumah dapat dijadikan sebagai tempat dalam menanam sayuran seperti lobak dan tanaman lainnya. Kegiatan ini menjadi sumber pemenuhan kebutuhan rumah tangga serta sebagai pendapatan sampingan masyarakat. Dalam pelaksanaan menggunakan empat metode yaitu edukasi, pelatihan, pengelolaan, dan pendampingan. Dimulai dengan memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya mengelola dan memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan rumah untuk ditanami sayuran melalui proses sosialisasi yang melibatkan masyarakat. Kemudian masyarakat diajarkan cara pengolahan lahan agar dapat digunakan untuk menanam sayuran serta memperkenalkan jenis-jenis sayuran yang mudah ditanam dan memiliki nilai ekonomis, serta memiliki jangka waktu panen yang relatif singkat. Mendampingi masyarakat dalam hal manajemen sampah, penanaman dan perawatan sayuran dan tanaman hias yang ditanam di pekarangan rumah, serta pendampingan dalam mengelola hasil panen.

Abstract

Training is a programmed activity that can help teachers learn knowledge or skills. By learning new knowledge and skills, the work of teachers in their respective roles in the workplace will increase. One of the trainings that can be done is training and mentoring to develop teaching modules. The preparation of teaching modules must be able to answer and solve problems or difficulties in learning. There are a number of learning materials that are often difficult for students to understand or teachers find it difficult to convey. These difficulties can occur because the material is abstract, complicated, foreign, and so on. To overcome this difficulty, it is necessary to develop appropriate teaching modules. The driving school program is an effort to realize the vision of Indonesian education in realizing an advanced Indonesia that is sovereign, independent, and has personality through the creation of Pancasila Students. To realize this, it must be supported by human resources, in this case the teacher as an educator. Through training and mentoring of the POE2WE Model-Based Teaching Module for Motivating School Teachers, it is hoped that teacher competence will increase and the vision of Indonesian education can be realized.

Abstract

Learning modules are learning materials that can be studied by students independently, in which there are clear components and instructions so that students can follow them sequentially without the intervention of the teacher. Module Development with the POE2WE Model using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The Analysis stage includes analysis of performance, students, concepts, and objectives, the Design stage includes the preparation of modules according to the syllabus and lesson plan, and designing learning scenarios, the Development stage includes development with suggestions and input from material expert validators and the POE2WE model, the Implementation stage includes implementing the Module for 6th semester students, and the Evaluation stage includes an assessment of all stages from Analysis to Implementation. The learning model used is the POE2WE model (Prediction, Observation, Explanation, Elaboration, Write, Evaluation). The Prediction stage students make predictions, the Observation stage students make temporary conjectures, the Explanation stage students clarify their conjectures, the Elaboration stage students look for interrelationships of problems with everyday life. In the Write stage, students record the results of discussions and draw conclusions, and in the Evaluation stage, students answer questions for process assessment. This can increase the competence of students

Abstract

Riyadul Ulum Wadda’wah Islamic Boarding School is located in Condong RT / RW: 01/04 Setianegara Cibeureun District, Tasikmalaya City, or about 6 km from the city center of Tasikmalaya. This boarding school belongs to one of the oldest Islamic boarding schools in Indonesia because it was founded in 1864. Its founder is KH. Nawawi from Rajapolah. The Riyadul Ulum Wadda'wah Tasikmalaya Islamic boarding school has approximately 2300 santri students, who come from various regions in Indonesia. The general objective of the implementation of the Science and Technology program for Community Development (IbBM) is to empower the community to build institutional capacity while enhancing human resources through the Santri Data System (SIDASA) in the Tasikmalaya Riyadul Ulum Islamic Boarding School based on sustainable Science and Technology. Submission of information is delivered in 3 stages, namely training in the use of software, training / emphasis on data accuracy, training in infusing students' data into the SIDASA application. The conclusions in this research are science and technology service activities for Community Development (IbBM) especially in the Riyadul Ulum Islamic Boarding School Wadda’wah Condong can provide benefits and convenience for boarding school officials in recording santri data, and can improve human resources based on science and technology
