Abstract

This study aims to analize the effectiveness of the e-module assisted discovery learning model on critical thinking skills and to describe students' critical thinking skills in terms of learning independence. The research design used was a mixed method design with an exploratory sequential design. The subjects were fifth-grade elementary school students in Paninggaran, Pekalongan. Data collection was carried out through interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation to obtain comprehensive information. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it was concluded that learning with the e-module-assisted discovery learning model was proven effective, there was an increase in students' critical thinking skills and independence after participating in the e-module-assisted discovery learning, and there was a relationship between the level of critical thinking skills and student independence. In addition, students with high ability categories were able to demonstrate optimal performance in all critical thinking indicators because they had mature learning independence. Students in the medium category show developing abilities, but still require teacher guidance, students in the low category face significant obstacles in every aspect of critical thinking and low learning independence. Suggestions based on the results of this study are that teachers need to provide intensive guidance, directed feedback, and reflective thinking exercises consistently to students with medium and low critical thinking abilities, to help them develop critical thinking abilities and learning independence. Schools need to design habituation programs that encourage the growth of critical thinking abilities and student learning independence, through reflective activities, group discussions, and modeling critical thinking strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh problem-based learning terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematik, dan korelasi kemampuan penalaran matematik dengan kemampuan awal siswa SMP. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Palas Tengah, sampelnya diambil dua kelas secara random dari seluruh kelas VIII. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen, dimana instrumennya terdiri dari pretest dan postest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada data pretest tidak menunjukkan adanya perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematika antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen. Hasil uji t pada data postest menunjukkan perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematika antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Pada uji korelasi Widespread Biserial menunjukkan adanya korelasi. Disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh problem-based learning terhadap peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematik siswa dan kemampuan awal siswa tidak membedakan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematika siswa dan korelasinya. This study aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning on mathematical reasoning abilities, and the correlation of mathematical reasoning abilities with the initial abilities of junior high school students. The population in this study were all students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanjung Palas Tengah, the samples were taken randomly from two classes of class VIII. The method used is the experimental method, where the instrument consists of a pretest and posttest. The results showed that the pretest data did not show any difference in mathematical reasoning ability between the control group and the experimental group. The results of the t-test on posttest data showed differences in mathematical reasoning abilities between the experimental group and the control group at a significance level of 5%. The Biserial Widespread correlation test shows a correlation. It was concluded that there was an effect of problem-based learning on increasing students' mathematical reasoning abilities and students' initial abilities did not distinguish between increasing students' mathematical reasoning abilities and their correlations.

Populasi  penelitian adalah siswa kelas III SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi Jakarta Barat. Pengambilan sampel penelitian dilakukan sampel tujuan dengan jumlah sampel adalah 32 siswa kelas III A  sebagai kelas kontrol dan 32 siswa kelas III B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes, angket dan lembar observasi. Penelitian dilakukan selama dua bulan pada November dan Desember 2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2x2. Variabel pada penelitian ini adalah penggunaan media manipulatif sebagai variabel bebas, kepercayaan diri sebagai variabel moderator dan hasil belajar Matematika sebagai variabel terikat. Analisis data menggunakan uji-F dan uji-t dengan ANOVA dua jalur.  Hasil Penelitian memperlihatkan bahwa 1) terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media manipulatif terhadap hasil belajar Matematika. 2) terdapat pengaruh kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil belajar Matematika. 3) terdapat pengaruh interaksi penggunaan media manipulatif pada pembelajaran Matematika dan kepercayaan diri terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas III SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi Jakarta Barat Kata Kunci : media manipulatif, kepercayaan diri, matematika ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine: 1) the effect of using manipulative media on mathematics learning outcomes, 2) the effect of self-confidence on mathematics learning outcomes, 3) the interaction effect between the use of manipulative media on mathematics learning and self-confidence on the learning outcomes of third grade students at SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 am West Jakarta. The population of the study was the third grade students of SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi, West Jakarta. The sampling of the research was carried out by the objective sample with the number of samples being 32 students of class III A as the control class and 32 students of class III B as the experimental class. The instruments used in the form of tests, questionnaires and observation sheets. The research was conducted for two months in November and December 2019. The type of research used is a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design. The variables in this study were the use of manipulative media as an independent variable, self-confidence as a moderator variable and mathematics learning outcomes as the dependent variable. Data analysis used F-test and t-test with two-way ANOVA. The results of the study show that 1) there is an effect of using manipulative media on mathematics learning outcomes. 2) there is an effect of self-confidence on mathematics learning outcomes. 3) there is an interaction effect of using manipulative media on mathematics learning and self-confidence on the learning outcomes of third grade students at SDN Kebon Jeruk 11 Pagi West Jakarta  Keywords: manipulative media, self-confidence, mathematics

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to analyze the influence of the guided inquiry learning model on students' mathematical critical and creative thinking abilities. This research problem focuses on the effect of applying the guided inquiry model on the mathematical critical and creative thinking abilities of fourth grade elementary school students compared to applying the direct learning model. The research was conducted on fourth grade students at SD Negeri 010015 Sei Serindan, Kecamatan Sei Kepayang Barat, with a research sample of 2 classes determined using the cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument tests students' critical thinking and creative mathematical thinking skills in the form of essays. The research data were analyzed using the one-way MANOVA technique. The results of the research show that: (1) there is an influence of the guided inquiry learning model on students' mathematical critical thinking abilities; (2) there is an influence of the guided inquiry learning model on students' mathematical creative thinking abilities; and (3) there is an influence of the guided inquiry learning model simultaneously on students' critical thinking and creative mathematical thinking abilities. Keywords: Guided Inquiry, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Mathematics. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis siswa. Masalah penelitin ini difokuskan pada pengaruh penerapan media berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis siswa dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian dilakukan pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 010015 Sei Serindan, dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 2 kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Intrumen penelitian tes kemampuan berpikir kritis dan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa dalam bentuk uraian (essai). Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik MANOVA satu jalur. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa: (1) terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa; (2) terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa; dan (3) terdapat pengaruh media pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing secara simultan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan berpikir kreatif matematis siswa. Kata Kunci: Media, Inkuiri Terbimbing, Berpikir Kritis, Berpikir Kreatif, Matematika

Abstract

The use of blended learning models is very necessary in the implementation of educational activities in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit Indonesia. This research contains an explanation of the problem analysis that accompanies learning with a blended learning model. The purpose of this study is to explain various kinds of problems and problems that occur when the learning process is carried out with a blended learning model in the material for building rooms for grade 1 elementary school students. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with an approach to analyzing the situation of conditions in accordance with the facts in the field as the object of study and the object of research. The results of this study are that there are various probelamtics that accompany learning with a blended learning model such as insufficient student independence, parents who have to accompany their students to study, economic limitations to buy internet credit, unstable signals during online learning, the implementation of strict health protocols during study visits, and the concerns of parents who do not want their children to interact directly with teachers and other students in groups because  fear of exposure to the coronavirus considering they are still in the 1st grade of elementary school.

Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental research. This study aims to 1) examine the effect of applying the REACT learning model on students' analytical thinking skills in terms of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) in class XI IPA. 2) Assess the effect of the application of the REACT learning model on students' learning interest in terms of IQ in class XI IPA. 3) Assessing the effect of the interaction of learning models and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) on students' analytical thinking skills in class XI IPA. 4) Assessing the effect of the interaction of learning models and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) on students' learning interest in class XI IPA. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA SMA Islam Dian Didaktika Cinere Depok, samples were taken from two classes XI IPA with Cluster Random Sampling, while the design used was treatment by level design. The results show that 1) There is an effect of the application of the learning model on students' analytical abilities 2) There is no effect of the application of the REACT learning model on students' learning interest between the experimental and control groups. 3) There is an interaction between the REACT and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) learning models on students' analytical thinking skills. 4) There is no interaction between learning models and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) on students' learning interest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Case Study and Mind Mapping learning models on the mathematical problem-solving ability of fourth-grade students at SDN Koto VII District, Sijunjung Regency. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students, and the sample included two classes: the experimental class, which applied the Case Study and Mind Mapping models, and the control class, which used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through a descriptive test of mathematical problem-solving skills and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the independent t-test. The results revealed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students taught using the Case Study and Mind Mapping models compared to those taught using conventional learning. The experimental class achieved a higher posttest mean score of 74, compared to 66 in the control class. These findings indicate that the implementation of Case Study and Mind Mapping learning models is effective in enhancing the mathematical problem-solving skills of elementary school students Keywords: Case Study, Mind Mapping, Problem Solving, Mathematics, Innovative Learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to show that mathematics learning using the SOLE (Self Organized Learning Environment) learning model assisted by the Flipbook E-Module achieves quality learning and describes the mathematical literacy thinking process in terms of independent learning in mixed arithmetic operations material. Data collection techniques use unstructured interviews, questionnaires, tests and documentation. This research uses a mixed methods research design with an explanatory design. The data analysis technique uses quantitative analysis followed by qualitative, namely one variable t test, difference test, N-Gain test, and regression test. The results of the research show that: (1) The students' mathematical literacy skills are more than the KKM value, namely 75, with a t-count = 1.975 (> 1.706) and a significance value of 0.042 (< 0.05); (2) There was an increase in mathematical literacy skills by 39.73% after learning with the SOLE model using the flipbook e-module; (3) There is an influence of independence on students' mathematical literacy abilities of 89.6% so it can be concluded that the greater the students' independence, the higher the students' mathematical literacy abilities.

Abstract

Academic Year. The sample was taken using a Purposive sampling technique, selected class VIII.3 as the experimental class with a total of 36 students and class VIII.2 as the control class with a total of 28 students. Data were obtained from the mathematical critical thinking ability test instrument on the material finding the formula for the area of a mathematical circle. The results of the analysis show that: (1) The mathematical critical thinking ability of students who received MIKiR approach learning assisted by LKPD is higher than students who received conventional learning, (2) The increase in mathematical critical thinking ability of students who received MIKiR approach learning based on LKPD is higher than students who received conventional learning. The N-Gain index for students who received MIKiR learning with the assistance of student worksheets (LKPD) was 0.7553, categorized as high classification, and 75.53% as effective interpretation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding and interest in learning mathematics among fifth grade elementary school students, especially in fractions, as indicated by numeracy achievement that is still below national standards and the dominance of conventional learning methods based on books and worksheets. The purpose of this research is to develop Google Sites-based learning media to improve students' understanding of mathematics and learning interest, and to describe the development process systematically. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, including needs analysis, content and interface design, media development, implementation in experimental and control classes, and pretest-posttest evaluation and analysis with N-Gain. The results of the study indicate that Google Sites media is effective in improving the understanding of fraction concepts, indicated by a high N-Gain in the experimental class (0.91) compared to the control (0.30). This media also increases students' learning interest, motivation, and engagement through interactive visualizations, learning videos, quizzes, and educational games. The contribution of this research is practical and academic: practically, this media can be used as an interactive and independent learning tool; Academically, this research develops a systematic and relevant web-based learning model for the elementary school context, while also serving as a reference for the development of similar digital media.Keywords:
