Abstract

This study uses a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental research. This study aims to 1) examine the effect of applying the REACT learning model on students' analytical thinking skills in terms of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) in class XI IPA. 2) Assess the effect of the application of the REACT learning model on students' learning interest in terms of IQ in class XI IPA. 3) Assessing the effect of the interaction of learning models and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) on students' analytical thinking skills in class XI IPA. 4) Assessing the effect of the interaction of learning models and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) on students' learning interest in class XI IPA. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA SMA Islam Dian Didaktika Cinere Depok, samples were taken from two classes XI IPA with Cluster Random Sampling, while the design used was treatment by level design. The results show that 1) There is an effect of the application of the learning model on students' analytical abilities 2) There is no effect of the application of the REACT learning model on students' learning interest between the experimental and control groups. 3) There is an interaction between the REACT and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) learning models on students' analytical thinking skills. 4) There is no interaction between learning models and Intelligence Quotient (IQ) on students' learning interest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Case Study and Mind Mapping learning models on the mathematical problem-solving ability of fourth-grade students at SDN Koto VII District, Sijunjung Regency. This research employed a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fourth-grade students, and the sample included two classes: the experimental class, which applied the Case Study and Mind Mapping models, and the control class, which used conventional learning methods. Data were collected through a descriptive test of mathematical problem-solving skills and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the independent t-test. The results revealed a significant difference between the learning outcomes of students taught using the Case Study and Mind Mapping models compared to those taught using conventional learning. The experimental class achieved a higher posttest mean score of 74, compared to 66 in the control class. These findings indicate that the implementation of Case Study and Mind Mapping learning models is effective in enhancing the mathematical problem-solving skills of elementary school students Keywords: Case Study, Mind Mapping, Problem Solving, Mathematics, Innovative Learning.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to show that mathematics learning using the SOLE (Self Organized Learning Environment) learning model assisted by the Flipbook E-Module achieves quality learning and describes the mathematical literacy thinking process in terms of independent learning in mixed arithmetic operations material. Data collection techniques use unstructured interviews, questionnaires, tests and documentation. This research uses a mixed methods research design with an explanatory design. The data analysis technique uses quantitative analysis followed by qualitative, namely one variable t test, difference test, N-Gain test, and regression test. The results of the research show that: (1) The students' mathematical literacy skills are more than the KKM value, namely 75, with a t-count = 1.975 (> 1.706) and a significance value of 0.042 (< 0.05); (2) There was an increase in mathematical literacy skills by 39.73% after learning with the SOLE model using the flipbook e-module; (3) There is an influence of independence on students' mathematical literacy abilities of 89.6% so it can be concluded that the greater the students' independence, the higher the students' mathematical literacy abilities.

Abstract

Academic Year. The sample was taken using a Purposive sampling technique, selected class VIII.3 as the experimental class with a total of 36 students and class VIII.2 as the control class with a total of 28 students. Data were obtained from the mathematical critical thinking ability test instrument on the material finding the formula for the area of a mathematical circle. The results of the analysis show that: (1) The mathematical critical thinking ability of students who received MIKiR approach learning assisted by LKPD is higher than students who received conventional learning, (2) The increase in mathematical critical thinking ability of students who received MIKiR approach learning based on LKPD is higher than students who received conventional learning. The N-Gain index for students who received MIKiR learning with the assistance of student worksheets (LKPD) was 0.7553, categorized as high classification, and 75.53% as effective interpretation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding and interest in learning mathematics among fifth grade elementary school students, especially in fractions, as indicated by numeracy achievement that is still below national standards and the dominance of conventional learning methods based on books and worksheets. The purpose of this research is to develop Google Sites-based learning media to improve students' understanding of mathematics and learning interest, and to describe the development process systematically. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, including needs analysis, content and interface design, media development, implementation in experimental and control classes, and pretest-posttest evaluation and analysis with N-Gain. The results of the study indicate that Google Sites media is effective in improving the understanding of fraction concepts, indicated by a high N-Gain in the experimental class (0.91) compared to the control (0.30). This media also increases students' learning interest, motivation, and engagement through interactive visualizations, learning videos, quizzes, and educational games. The contribution of this research is practical and academic: practically, this media can be used as an interactive and independent learning tool; Academically, this research develops a systematic and relevant web-based learning model for the elementary school context, while also serving as a reference for the development of similar digital media.Keywords:

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the improvement of fifth-grade students’ mathematical critical thinking skills and mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at SD Peradaban Serang. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design. The population consisted of all fifth-grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year, with two classes selected as the experimental and control groups, each comprising 21 students. The research instruments included an essay-based mathematical critical thinking test developed according to Facione’s indicators (interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference) and a multiple-choice mathematics achievement test, all of which met validity and reliability requirements. Data were analyzed using an independent samples t-test and N-Gain analysis. The results indicated that the implementation of PBL had a significant effect on mathematical critical thinking skills (t = −3.317; p = 0.002) and mathematics learning outcomes (t = −2.241; p = 0.031). Mathematically, the mean N-Gain score for mathematical critical thinking in the experimental class was 0.5236 (52.36%), which was higher than that of the control class at 0.4966 (49.66%), with a difference of 2.70%; both were categorized as moderate. Meanwhile, the mean N-Gain score for mathematics learning outcomes in the experimental class was 0.3715 (37.15%), classified as moderate, and higher than that of the control class at 0.2352 (23.52%), which was categorized as low. These findings indicate that the Problem Based Learning model is more effective in improving students’ mathematical critical thinking skills and mathematics learning outcomes at the elementary school level. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD Peradaban Serang melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain pretest–posttest control group. Populasi penelitian meliputi seluruh siswa kelas V tahun ajaran 2024/2025, dengan dua kelas yang dipilih sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol, masing-masing berjumlah 21 siswa. Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas tes uraian kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis berdasarkan indikator Facione (interpretasi, analisis, evaluasi, dan inferensi) serta tes hasil belajar matematika berbentuk pilihan ganda, yang telah memenuhi kriteria validitas dan reliabilitas. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan independent samples t-test dan perhitungan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis (t = −3,317; p = 0,002) dan hasil belajar matematika (t = −2,241; p = 0,031). Secara matematis, nilai rata-rata N-Gain kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,5236 (52,36%) lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,4966 (49,66%), dengan selisih peningkatan sebesar 2,70% dan keduanya berada pada kategori sedang. Sementara itu, nilai N-Gain hasil belajar matematika pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,3715 (37,15%) termasuk kategori sedang dan lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,2352 (23,52%) yang berada pada kategori rendah. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dan hasil belajar matematika siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The use of blended learning models is very necessary in the implementation of educational activities in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic that has hit Indonesia. This research contains an explanation of the problem analysis that accompanies learning with a blended learning model. The purpose of this study is to explain various kinds of problems and problems that occur when the learning process is carried out with a blended learning model in the material for building rooms for grade 1 elementary school students. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with an approach to analyzing the situation of conditions in accordance with the facts in the field as the object of study and the object of research. The results of this study are that there are various probelamtics that accompany learning with a blended learning model such as insufficient student independence, parents who have to accompany their students to study, economic limitations to buy internet credit, unstable signals during online learning, the implementation of strict health protocols during study visits, and the concerns of parents who do not want their children to interact directly with teachers and other students in groups because  fear of exposure to the coronavirus considering they are still in the 1st grade of elementary school.

Abstract

Indonesian students’ low statistical literacy, as revealed by PISA 2022 with only 18% achieving Mathematics competency at level 2, presents an urgent educational challenge. The dominant use of printed teaching materials limits students’ digital learning experiences with varying levels of initial understanding. This study developed differentiated E-LKPD (Electronic Student Worksheets) using Liveworksheets on Data Presentation topics through Research and Development with ADDIE model. Participants were 7th grade students of SMP Gunungjati 1 Purwokerto in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection instruments included interview instruments, needs analysis questionnaires, validation questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and statistical literacy tests. The product achieved very high validity based on Aiken’s index for content (0.91), media (0.94), and language (0.90). Practicality received 86% with very practical criteria. The product’s effectiveness showed statistical literacy improvement with N-Gain of 0.60 (moderate). The differentiated E-LKPD using Liveworksheets proved valid, practical, and effective in enhancing statistical literacy skills of junior high school students. This digital, interactive approach successfully accommodates diverse student readiness levels, providing an innovative solution for personalized mathematics learning that bridges the gap between traditional instruction and students’ digital learning needs.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif NHT vs STAD dan percaya diri terhadap hasil belajar matematika kelas VI di SDN Gugus Mh. Thamrin. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan yaitu eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik di DKI Jakarta dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik di SDN Gugus MH Thamrin sebanyak 40 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara Stratified Cluster Sampling. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi, tes dan kuesioner, teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan analisis varians satu arah, analisis uji beda (Uji T) dengan bantuan program excel dan SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik dengan penggunaan strategi kooperatif Number Head Together (NHT) dan Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dengan nilai sig (2-tailed) 0,006 lebih kecil dari 0,05 dan juga penggunaan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif Number Head Together (NHT) dan Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VI SDN di Gugus MH. Thamrin dengan nilai rata – rata sebesar 86,50 dan 76,00. Percaya diri memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VI SDN di Gugus MH. Thamrin dengan nilai 86,50 dan 76,00 serta nila sig (2-tailed) 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Penggunaan strategi pembelajaran kooperatif dan percaya diri secara bersama sama mempengaruhi hasil belajar matematika peserta didik kelas VI SDN di Gugus MH. Thamrin dengan nilai sig F change 0.000 < 0.05 dan nilai R yang didapatkan 0,727 maka pengaruh antara strategi pembelajaran kooperatif dan percaya diri terhadap hasil belajar memiliki pengaruh yang kuat.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyse the effect of the interaction of problem-solving learning strategy with media-assisted and self-concept on the mathematical learning outcomes of elementary school students. This research was conducted at SDS Islam Miftahul Jannah, Cikupa, Tangerang, on the fifth-grade students with 90 population. While the number of samples in the research are 60 students, that consisted of 30 students from V-A (experimental 1) and 30 students from V-B (experimental 2). The research subjects are taken based on classes that have been formed and it is believed that the classes are equivalent. The research method used is an experiment with the research hypothesis testing technique by using two-way ANAVA with factorial 2 x 2. The results of the research showed that the students mathematical learning outcomes that taught by using problem solving learning strategy with media-assisted and lectures are significantly different. There are differences in mathematical learning outcomes of students who have positive self-concept and negative self-concept that taught by using problem solving learning strategy with media-assisted and lectures, it means that H0 is rejected and Hα is accepted. There is no interaction between the use of media-assisted problem-solving learning strategies and self-concept toward students learning outcomes. Based on this research, the teachers are expected to apply problem solving learning method with media-assisted in teaching mathematic and improve students’ self-concept.
