Abstract

This research was conducted at SMKN 2 Sinjai. This study aims to describe students' learning difficulties in mathematics on trigonometric material. The method applied in this research is descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects in this study were two students of class XI Multimedia at SMKN 2 Sinjai. The research techniques used in this study were observation, diagnostic tests and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the difficulties experienced by FD and SC subjects are difficulties in using the Pythagorean formula in determining one side length of a right triangle and applying the trigonometric comparison formula in solving real problems. Efforts that can be made in overcoming the difficulties experienced by students are teachers need to pay attention to the characteristics of their students and increase their interest in learning mathematics.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a product in the form of a teaching material as a medium in studying the sine and cosine rule material. This study was development research that was designed using the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) model. To obtain valid and effective teaching materials, the validity of the research instrument was tested and the validity of the developed teaching materials was tested. The teaching materials that have been implemented are then assessed by the research subjects to determine their effectiveness. The results obtained are: flipbook-based teaching materials on the sine and cosine rule materials are declared to meet the validity and effectiveness. These results were obtained after being tested for validity by experts which consisted of validating teaching materials in the form of teaching materials and problem-solving questions, all of which were in the very valid category, namely 3.76. Meanwhile, for display validation, it is in the very valid category with the average validator value of 3.56. Teaching materials are declared practical based on the results of the analysis, there are 97.1% of respondents who rate the attractiveness of teaching materials, 88.6% of respondents who assess interest/motivation, 89.4% of respondents who rate ease of use, and 95.7% respondents who assess the functioning of teaching materials. Teaching materials are declared effective based on the results of the analysis, there are 96.3% of respondents who rate the material, 87.6% of respondents who rate problem solving, and 90.9% of respondents who rate visual communication.

Abstract

Pesatnya kemajuan teknologi sebagai salah satu sumber belajar bagi siswa tidak sebanding dengan literasi digital guru. Berdasarkan hasil observasi, permasalahan yang ada pada sekolah mitra adalah kurangnya pengetahuan guru tentang media pembelajaran dan sulitnya narasumber untuk sampai ke  sekolah karena terletak di daerah pelosok daerah Kabupaten Bone. Adapun tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan kreativitas guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang praktis dan interaktif. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian tersebut adalah metode ceramah, tanya jawab dan praktik. Kegiatan ini memberikan dampak yang positif kepada peserta. Setelah mengikuti pelatihan, guru-guru memiliki kemampuan untuk membuat media pembelajaran interaktif dengan bantuan aplikasi Canva dan Prezi. Pengetahuan ini akan menjadi dasar bagi guru-guru untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran dan bahan ajarnya sesuai dengan bidang ilmu masing-masing. Para peserta merasa puas dengan pengabdian yang dilakukan sehingga meminta agar kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Computational Thinking merupakan kemampuan dasar berpikir untuk siswa serta guru dimana kemampuan tersebut dapat memberikan pola pikir yang baru untuk memperoleh pemecahan masalah serta untuk mengembangkan peluang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektifitas computational thinking terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pretest postest control grup desain. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang diperoleh berdasarkan soal-soal computational thinking yang dikembangkan oleh Bebras. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan uji paired sample t test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dengan paired sample t-test diperoleh nilai probabilitas 0,000. Karena nilai probabilitas lebih kecil dibanding  maka dapat dikatakan bahwa computational thinking efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa. Dengan demikian, kemampuan computational thinking tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa, tetapi juga mempersiapkan mereka untuk menghadapi tantangan dalam berbagai bidang studi dan situasi kehidupan nyata yang memerlukan pemikiran kritis, kreatif, dan terstruktur.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop interactive teaching materials based on Quick Response (QR) codes for the Education Statistics Course at a State Islamic Institute in Sinjai. The ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) was used to ensure the teaching materials' validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The teaching materials and learning videos underwent a validity test, which found that all aspects were valid, scoring 3.58. The media validation was very valid, with an average validator score of 3.68. The developed teaching materials were practical, with an average respondent rating of 92.07%. Respondents also found the teaching materials effective, with a proportion of 89.63%. These teaching materials will provide students with the knowledge and skills required for their final projects, including proposal preparation, research, data analysis, and thesis compilation. The hope is that these materials will improve the quality of education statistics learning and research, making students more competitive. In conclusion, this research successfully developed interactive teaching materials based on QR codes for the Education Statistics Course, which were found to be valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

This study aims to diagnose students' difficulties in understanding and using the principle concepts in the FPB and KPK materials. This research uses a qualitative research type. The subjects of this research are fifth grade students at SDN 2 Balangnipa in the 2021/2022 academic year. Subject selection was based on mathematical ability and the considerations given by the fifth-grade teacher. The method used in this study was the method of documentation, tests and interviews. The results and conclusions of the research obtained include the types of student difficulties in the FPB and KPK materials are (1) Students have difficulty learning mathematics in the material about finding FPB and KPK scores (2) Lack of interest and enthusiasm for studying mathematics in addition to the limited mathematics learning tools available. used by educators

Abstract

This research was conducted at SDN 28 Pakkita, which is in Salohe, Kec. East Sinjai, Kab. Sinjai, Prov. South Sulawesi. The purpose of this study was to describe students' learning difficulties in mathematics about addition and subtraction of integers. This research method is descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects in this study were two third grade students of SDN 28 Pakkita. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, diagnostic tests, and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the subject already understands the concept of addition operations by storing and subtracting by borrowing but the subject is less careful in working on the questions given while the learning difficulties experienced by subjects are difficulties in counting so that subjects have difficulty in working on the questions. given question. Efforts are made to overcome learning difficulties experienced by students, namely teachers need to understand the characteristics of their students and provide motivation so that they can have a passion for learning mathematics. and Efforts that parents can do at home are to guide and train children so that they can master little by little the material being taught, especially at school.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to examine the effect of using GPT Chat on students' self-confidence and confidence in solving mathematics problems. This research is quantitative research using multiple regression tests. Before the regression test is carried out, prerequisite tests are first carried out in the form of normality tests and linearity tests. This research was carried out at the Ahmad Dahlan Islamic University where the population was all students of the Tadris Mathematics Study Program. The sample in this study consisted of 20 people who were chosen randomly using a simple random sampling technique. Based on the results of descriptive statistical analysis and hypothesis testing that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the use of Chat GPT has a positive and significant influence on students' self-confidence and confidence in solving mathematical problems. These results are supported by social cognitive theory, which states that interaction with technology such as Chat GPT can increase self-confidence through modeling, positive feedback, and increased self-efficacy. In addition, educational technology theory emphasizes that the use of technology in learning supports a constructivist approach, creates personalized learning experiences, and develops critical skills. Overall, the results of this analysis provide an in-depth understanding of how the use of Chat GPT can increase students' self-confidence and confidence in solving mathematical problems, as well as supporting theoretical implications from the perspective of social cognitive psychology and educational technology.

Abstract

This research was qualitative research with a descriptive approach that aims to describe the results of the analysis of student errors based on Polya's stages in solving PISA problems in terms of gender. This research was carried out in SMP Negeri 2 Kahu, in class VIII female and male students who had relatively similar mathematical abilities. Data collection is done by giving mathematical problem-solving tasks in the form of PISA questions and interviews. To test the credibility of the data, time triangulation was performed. At different times the tasks and interviews are given with problems that are equivalent to the previous tasks.In the stage of understanding the problem and making a plan of resolution, the female subject did not make mistakes because she was able to identify the problem by determining the keywords of the problem at hand but the subject could not fully understand the purpose of the problem because the subject did not know what concepts were related to the problem. At the stage of implementing the plan, the calculation results obtained by the subject are wrong. This happens because the subject is not able to understand and relate the concepts by the problem being faced so that the calculation results are wrong. This has an impact on the stage of re-checking, the subject examines and checks the steps and the results of calculations that are done repeatedly to ensure that the calculation results are correct even though the answer is still wrong because the concept used to solve the PISA problem is wrong.In the stage of understanding the problem and making a plan of the resolution, the subject does not make a mistake because it identifies the problem by determining the keywords of the problem encountered after reading the problem. Then gather information / mathematical facts related to the problem that will be used to solve the problem. At the stage of making a solution plan, the subject made a mistake by making a problem-solving plan without using the correct concepts. Or in other words, the subject is only guessing what concepts are appropriate for solving the problem. At the stage of implementing the plan, the subject carries out the chosen strategy. However, because the plan is chosen was not based on a strong concept, the results of the problem solving obtained were wrong. In the re-checking stage, the subject checks by examining and re-checking step by step the problem-solving strategies that are used and all are appropriate. However, because the strategy chosen was only guessed, the subjects did not know that the answers obtained were wrong.

Abstract

Banyak siswa di SD Gugus II Sinjai Utara mengalami kesulitan belajar matematika, ditandai dengan rendahnya hasil belajar, motivasi, dan konsentrasi. Guru pun menghadapi tantangan dalam menyampaikan materi secara efektif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam menerapkan teknik hypnolearning untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. Melalui pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR), program mencakup perencanaan, pelatihan, praktik, monitoring, dan evaluasi. Guru dibekali konsep dasar hypnolearning seperti relaksasi, visualisasi, dan sugesti positif. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman guru dengan nilai post-test lebih tinggi dari pre-test, dan 83,16% peserta menilai pelatihan sangat relevan. Kendala yang dihadapi berupa keterbatasan waktu dan variasi pemahaman, sementara faktor pendukungnya adalah komitmen guru dan fasilitas yang memadai. Program ini berdampak positif pada peningkatan konsentrasi, motivasi, dan pemahaman siswa dalam belajar matematika.
