Abstract

Academic stress and psychological pressure is most often felt by students. One of the factor great factor is person's resilience ability that greatly influenced by the mindset of the person in seeing their experiences and life. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the influence of growth your mindset training to increase student resilience. The research design used was a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects were 30 students who were divided into 15 students in the experimental group and 15 students in the control group. Student resilience was measured using a student resilience scale. Data analysis used Wilcoxon and Mann-Whitney U Test using SPSS 25 Software for Windows. The results of the analysis using the Wilcoxson test which compared the resilience scores of students in the experimental group between before and after training showed a value of Z = -2.901, p = 0.004 (p <0.05) meaning that there were differences in resilience scores among students before and after being given the growth your mindset training treatment, so that there is a significant increase in resilience after being given the growth your mindset training treatment. The results of the analysis using the Mann-Whitney U Test showed a value of Z = -3.744, p = 0.000 (p <0.05) meaning that there were differences in the level of resilience in students between the experimental group that was given the growth your mindset training treatment and the control group that was not given the growth your mindset training treatment.

Abstract

Anxiety is normal for every human being so that it is expected that every individual has the ability of mindfulness to reduce the anxiety that will be faced. Importance of mindfulness to reduce anxiety in college students. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the influence of mindfulness to reduce anxiety in new students. The research design used was a pretest-posttest test control group design. The research subjects were 26 new college students who were divided into 2 groups, namely 13 students in the experimental group and 13 students in the control group. The results of the analysis used the Wilcoxson test which compared the work readiness scores in the experimental group between before and after the training. The result showed a value of Z = -3.185, p = 0.000 (p <0.05) meaning that there was a difference in anxiety scores before and after being given the mindfulness training treatment, so there was a decrease in the level of significant anxiety after being given mindfulness training treatment. The results of the analysis using the results of the Mann-Whitney U Test obtained statistical results (Z) = -3.619 with a significance value (2-tailed) = 0.000 (p <0.05), meaning that there was a difference in the level of anxiety between the experimental group that was given treatment in the form of mindfulness training and the control group that was not given treatment in the form of mindfulness training.

Abstract

Media sosial telah menjadi bagian penting dalam keseharian kita. Adanya kemajuan teknologi dan ketersediaan akses internet, semakin banyak orang yang terhubung dengan platform media sosial seperti Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, dan lain-lain. Banyak manfaat yang didapatkan dengan adanya internet, salah satunya antara lain, dapat sebagai media untuk memperluas informasi bahkan dapat digunakan sebagai wadah untuk berjualan atau berdagang. Tidak hanya itu, media sosial juga mampu membantu komunikasi dengan kerabat yang jauh sehingga komunikasi terasa lebih efisien. Namun, penggunaan yang berlebihan dan tidak terkendali terhadap media sosial dapat menyebabkan adiksi yang berdampak negatif pada kesejahteraan individu   Adiksi sosial media merupakan kondisi di mana seseorang kehilangan kontrol terhadap penggunaan media sosial dan mengalami ketergantungan yang merugikan. Orang yang mengalami adiksi terhadap media sosial akan merasa terdorong untuk terus menggunakan media sosial secara berlebihan, mengabaikan tanggung jawab dan aktivitas sehari-hari, serta mengalami kesulitan menghentikan atau mengurangi penggunaan.  Berdasarkan hal tersebut diadakan edukasi mengenai adiksi sosial media pada forum JARWASNABA di Kelurahan Margo Mulyo. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini adalah memberikan materi mengenai adiksi media sosial, ceramah dan tanya jawab, serta pre-test dan post-test. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kegiatan ini adalah adanya peningkatan pengetahuan pada peserta dengan nilai mean sebesar 41.00. Melalui kegiatan ini, diharapkan peserta mampu mengaplikasikan ilmu yang telah diberikan agar dapat terhindar dari adiksi media sosial. Social media has become an important part of our daily lives. With advances in technology and the availability of internet access, more and more people are connected to social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and others. There are many benefits obtained from the internet, one of which is that it can be used as a medium to expand information and can even be used as a forum for selling or trading. Not only that, social media can also help communicate with distant relatives so that communication feels more efficient. However, excessive and uncontrolled use of social media can cause addiction which has a negative impact on individual well-being. Social media addiction is a condition where a person loses control over their use of social media and experiences detrimental dependence. People who are addicted to social media will feel compelled to continue using social media excessively, neglect daily responsibilities and activities, and have difficulty stopping or reducing use. Based on this, education was held regarding social media addiction at the JARWASNABA forum in Margo Mulyo Village. The method used in this activity is providing material about social media addiction, lectures and questions and answers, as well as pre-tests and post-tests. The results obtained from this activity were an increase in knowledge among participants with a mean value of 41.00. Through this activity, it is hoped that participants will be able to apply the knowledge they have been given to avoid social media addiction.

Abstract

The ability to use different Internet-mediated forms is a basic competence in the digital era, which indicates that women, too, need to have adequate digital skills for daily activities. However, previous studies found that women have a lower digital literacy index than men due to their sociocultural role and expectations and less motivation to engage with technology among older individuals. Digital competence is essential to enhance digital inclusivity, especially for women in East Kalimantan Province, following the future challenges of the Capital City of Nusantara (IKN) development and Indonesia Digital Vision 2045. This study employed a quantitative approach, which entailed adapting seven dimensions of digital competence from the DigComp 2.0 model as research instruments: basic knowledge of hardware and software, information and data literacy, communication and collaboration, digital content creation, security, problem-solving, and career-related competencies. This study involved a sample size of 538 women. The findings offer theoretical insights into the employment of the DigComp 2.0 model within a specific context and recommendations for women’s empowerment strategies. The result showed that women’s digital competence level in East Kalimantan was high, except for the content creation and problem- solving. Another intriguing finding is that the level of education was not directly related to the level of digital competence, which contradicts previous studies. Future studies could employ the same instrument to corroborate the findings in this study across diverse sociocultural contexts in Indonesia. Another direction is to consider psychological variables that could influence digital competence.

Abstract

Seiring bertambahnya usia, mahasiswa diharapkan dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan perguruan tinggi melalui pencapaian akademik mereka, tetapi banyak mahasiswa yang tidak melakukannya dan malah merasa tertekan oleh tuntutan yang mereka hadapi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji peran orientasi tujuan dan optimisme terhadap penyesuaian akademik, menggunakan metode kuantitatif regresi berganda. Sampel terdiri dari 63 mahasiswa Universitas X Samarinda. peneliti menggunakan teknik simple random sampling untuk mengambil data. Skala yang terpakai, penyesuaian akademik yang terdiri dari 31 aitem valid dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,886, skala orientasi tujuan yang memiliki 28 aitem valid dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,707, dan skala optimisme yang terdiri dari 21 aitem valid dengan nilai reliabilitas sebesar 0,772. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari orientasi tujuan dan optimisme terhadap penyesuaian akademik, dengan keterlibatan pengaruh sebesar 15%. Implikasi praktisnya adalah orientasi tujuan tidak begitu berpengaruh terhadap penyesuaian akademik mahasiswa, tetapi optimisme memiliki peran besar dalam proses penyesuaian akademik. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi yang tepat dalam mencegah dampak negatif YouTube. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode studi kasus dimana peneliti melakukan observasi terhadap orang tua dan siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Tenggarong, melakukan wawancara dan dokumentasi kepada orang tua mengenai pola komunikasi yang digunakan dalam keluarga. Dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data model interaktif yang meliputi pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Setelah mendapatkan hasil, peneliti menganalisis data menggunakan teori disonansi kognitif dan konsep efektivitas komunikasi keluarga. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 pola komunikasi yang digunakan oleh orang tua kepada remajanya, yakni pola komunikasi yang memerdekakan, otoriter, dan demokrasi. Hal tersebut dikaitkan dengan konsep efektivitas komunikasi keluarga, untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi yang tepat dalam mencegah dampak negatif YouTube.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to explain the concept of character education contained in the book of Hikam and its relevance to Indonesia's national character education program. This research was a library study that employed the content analysis technique. The data collection method was the documentation technique. The findings of this study indicate that the concept of character education in the book of Hikam emphasizes religious character education. This approach focuses on uluhiyyah (divinity), suggesting that humans should align all their life activities with God by spreading goodness in all circumstances. The closer and more obedient a person is to God, the more character and noble that person would be. This religious education is an exercise (riyadhah) and sincerity (mujahadah) that is well organized and systematic and carried out by an educator to shape a pious personality in a student, both physically and spiritually. The concept of religious character refers to faith, honesty, piety, sincerity, and patience. Religious character teaches human being to become a person with character and responsibility. The character education values in the book of Hikam strengthen Indonesia's national character education program. In Sheikh Ibn Atha'illah's view, the character education strategy are divided into two stages: planting and spreading. Religious education is very relevant to the national character education strategy, such as intervention (instilling character in students) and habituation (instilling character through the environment). Studi ini bertujuan menjelaskan konsep pendidikan karakter yang ada dalam kitab Sufi Hikam serta relevansinya terhadap program nasional pendidikan karakter yang ada di Indonesia. Penelitian ini adalah library research yang mengunakan teknik content analisa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi. Temuan dalam penelitian ini adalah konsep pendidikan karakter yang ada pada kitab sufi Hikam adalah pendidikan karakter religious yang mengacu pada karakter uluhiyyah (ketuhanan), yakni manusia harus mengorientasikan segala aktivitas kehidupanya kepada tuhan dengan menyebarkan kebaikan dimana saja berada. Semakin dekat dan taat seseorang kepada tuhanya maka orang tersebut akan semakin berkarakter dan berakhlak mulia. Pendidikan religius ini merupakan suatu latihan (riyadhah) dan kesungguhan (mujahadah) yang terencana dan sistematis, serta dilakukan oleh seorang pendidik untuk membentuk kepribadian yang shaleh pada seorang anak didik baik dari segi jasmani maupun rohaninya. Konsep karakter religius ini mengacu pada nilai-nilai keimanan, kejujuran, ketakwaan, keikhlasan dan kesabaran. Kitab Hikam mendidik seorang manusia menjadi pribadi yang berkarakter dan bertangung jawab. Nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter pada kitab Hikam menguatkan program nasional pendidikan karakter di Indonesia. Strategi pendidikan karakter dalam pandangan Syeikh Ibnu Atha’illah dibagi dalam dua tahap, yaitu proses penanaman dan penyebaran. Hal ini sangat relevan dengan strategi pendidikan karakter nasional, yaitu intervensi (penanaman karakter pada diri peserta didik), dan habituasi (penanaman karakter melalui lingkungan).

Abstract

Dalam masa dewasa awal, mahasiswa mempunyai tugas perkembangan salah satunya ialah mulai bekerja, dan untuk memulai fase tersebut mahasiswa harus melewati tahap pengambilan keputusan karirnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterlibatan orang tua dan dukungan sosial terhadap pengambilan keputusan karir mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 100 mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Mulawarman yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah skala pengambilan keputusan karir, keterlibatan orang tua dan dukungan sosial. Teknik analisis data yang di gunakan adalah regresi linier berganda. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis dengan bantuan program Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) versi 26.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan keterlibatan orang tua dan dukungan sosial terhadap pengambilan keputusan karir dengan nilai F hitung = 31.924 > F tabel = 3.09 dan niali p = 0.000 serta memiliki konstribusi pengaruh (R2) sebesar 44.9%; (2) Terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan keterlibatan orang tua dan pengambilan keputusan karir dengan nilai koefisien beta (β) 0.389, t hitung = 4.179 > t tabel = 1.984, dan nilai p = 0.000; (3) Terdapat pengaruh positif signifikan dukungan sosial terhadap pengambilan keputusan karir dengan nilai koefisien beta (β) 0.348, t hitung = 4.594 > t tabel = 1.984, dan nilai p = 0.000.

Abstract

This study examines the role of self-determination in relation to the emotional well-being of high school students attending full-day schools in Samarinda City. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed. Data were collected using self-determination and emotional well-being scales. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. The senior high schools that implemented the full-day school system in each sub-district in Samarinda City were grouped and allocated proportionally into eight representative schools, resulting in 359 student respondents. The results indicated a strong and significant relationship between self-determination and emotional well-being among high school students attending full-day schools in Samarinda City, as reflected by a correlation coefficient of r = 0.613. The role of self-determination contributed 37.6% to the score in emotional well-being. These findings suggest the need for further research to explore other factors influencing emotional well-being in full-day school students. Furthermore, schools are encouraged to implement programs that enhance student self-determination to support emotional well-being.

Abstract

Early adults undergoing their developmental tasks have the potential to experience a quarter-life crisis as a life challenge that brings about several negative impacts. These problems can be overcome if early adults have happiness in their lives. Happiness can be increased by instilling self-esteem obtained from within themselves and those around them. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and happiness in early adults experiencing a quarter-life crisis . This study uses a quantitative approach method. The sample of this study was 209 early adults experiencing a quarter-life crisis determined through a purposive sampling technique . The measuring instrument used in this study was a Likert -type scale , namely the happiness scale and the self-esteem scale. The happiness scale consists of 14 valid items with a reliability value of 0.712 and the self-esteem scale consists of 27 valid items worth 0.848 obtained through a reliability test using Cronbach's Alpha so that both scales can be declared reliable . The happiness scale and the self-esteem scale are declared normal with p-values of 0.065 and 0.200, respectively. The data analysis technique for this study uses the Pearson product moment correlation test . The results of this study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and happiness in early adults experiencing a quarter-life crisis with a calculated r value of 0.0574 > r table 0.114 and a sig value of 0.000 (p < 0.05).
