Abstract

Introduction: Besides being a physiological problem, breast cancer is also a psychological problem. Breast cancer patients are prone to   anxiety, depression, stress, fear, and other psychological problems. Prolonged psychological problems that are not resolved lead to impaired self-confidence and motivation to undergo treatment, which has a negative impact on health. Psychoeducation as a psychological therapy as well as providing education is used as a therapy that aims to overcome the psychological problems of breast cancer patients.Methods: This study used a quasi-experimental research design. The population in this study was breast cancer patients (ca mammae) at Prof. Dr. Margono Soekardjo Purwokerto. The sample of this study was 50 respondents obtained with purposive sampling technique. The independent variable of this study is psychoeducation and the dependent variables are self-efficacy and motivation. Data were collected using a general self-efficacy questionnaire and intrinsic motivation inventory as well as an observation sheet. Data were analyzed using the Paired T-Test and Independent Test statistical tests with a level of significance ????≤0.05.Results: There was an effect of psychoeducation to self-efficacy and motivation (p= 0.000; p=0.000.Conclusion: This study shows that psychoeducation affects self-efficacy and motivation to undergo treatment in breast cancer patients (ca mammae). Psychoeducation provides information related to breast cancer and stress management methods so that it can increase self-efficacy and motivation to undergo treatment for breast cancer patients.

Abstract

Introduction: Suicide is a health phenomenon that is currently increasing, especially in young adults aged 15-29 years. The spiritual aspect in the form of belief in God is one way to prevent suicide. This study was conducted to determine the effect of web-based spiritual problem solving on the prevention of suicide risk in college students.Methods: The research design used a pre-experimental one-group pre-post-test. The sample was 59 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The independent variable was web-based spiritual problem solving, and the dependent variable was suicide risk prevention. The intervention was delivered via the web using PowerPoint media, inspirational videos, and counseling for approximately one month with four sessions. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon sign rank test.Results: Web-Based Spiritual Problem Solving significantly decreases suicide risk with a p-value of 0.000 (p <0.05).Conclusion: Web-Based Spiritual Problem Solving has been shown to be effective in reducing students’ suicide risk. This web intervention can be used for 24 hours and specifically for counseling and two-way communication on the web; privacy is maintained because of a hidden identity, which is seen in code when interacting with counselors so as to minimize stigma

Abstract

Background Lombok earthquake was one of the major earthquakes that occurred in Indonesia. Earthquakes have caused many deaths and injuries also made survivors are at risk of suffering from trauma-related mental health disorders such as Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Objective This study aims to describe the incidence of trauma at 6 months after the Lombok earthquake. Methods This study is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. There were 136 survivors of Lombok earthquake who were the subjects of the study. The technique of taking research survivor using purposive sampling technique. The instrument was using the Impact of Event Scale (IES). Data were analyzed descriptively using numbers and percentages. Results PTSD can occur in all men and women in adulthood. employment status, location of residence, and exposure to trauma recovery after 6 months of disaster are aspects that need to be considered in determining the incidence of PTSD. Conclusion After 6 months the Lombok earthquake was still found by survivors who had PTSD. Recommendation Survivors of earthquake natural disasters need psychological therapy to reduce the impact of post-disaster trauma

Abstract

The filial value from the caregiver of schizophrenic patients began to shift due to social changes and the burden of care experienced. The purpose of this study to describe the characteristics and caregiver filial value of schizophrenic patients. : Research design used a descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was quota sampling. 200 schizophrenic patients caregiver in the outpatient unit of the mental hospital menur recruited in the study according to the inclusion criteria. Data collection used a questionnaire developed from caring Swanson. Most caregivers showed good filial value. The filial value was described by maintaining belief, knowing, being with doing for, and enabling. This attitude supported care for schizophrenic patients. Filial value caregiver schizophrenic patients in menur mental hospital outpatient units support in the treatment of ongoing schizophrenic patients. Risk management for social change was needed to maintain filial value caregivers

Abstract

Patient safety became one of the most important indicators in maintaining the quality of nursing service in the hospital. Patient, individual staff, team, task and technology, work environment, organizational and management, and institutional context factors are all examples of obstacles nurses encounter when attempting to ensure patient safety in the hospital setting. Lastly, nurses should put concern in patient safety to make sure the quality by considering the behaviour and refer to Laurence Green Theory.

Abstract

Women suffering breast cancer who undergo chemotherapy experience side effects both physical and psychological. Complementary therapy urgently needed for relaxing patient before chemotherapy such as Autogenic and Handgrip Relaxation through self-suggestion technique. This research aim to analyze effect of autogenic and handgrip relaxation on physical aspect (chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting), psychological aspect (anxiety) in patients with breast cancer who undergo chemotherapy at PPLK (Cancer Service Development Center) RSUD dr. Soetomo Surabaya. Method: True Experimental with post-test only with control design. 72 respondents were involved and divided into 3 treatment groups and 1 control group. Research conducted within 3 weeks after chemotherapy until next chemotherapy session on each patients. Data were analyze used MANOVA and LSD (Least Significant Difference). Results: Autogenic and handgrip relaxation influence physical aspect and psychological aspect level significantly with p = 0.000 (p <0.05). LSD test showed no difference between autogenic relaxation, handgrip relaxation, and autogenic relaxation. Conclusion: Autogenic and handgrip relaxation have an effect on nausea vomiting and anxiety patients are able to adapt and control the body's response to be adaptive.

Abstract

Emergency nursing is a part of competences of profession program aimed to encourage the students to think critically to overcome the nursing problems which threaten the clients' lives. The learning method used in this stage is the experiential clinical learning. However, problems in achieving the learning outcomes still occur recently to result in low outcomes of clinical learning. This study used explanative method to describe the causal relationship among variables. This study involved all nursing students of the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery of Unusa. 72 students were taken as the samples by using simple random technique. The endogenous variables were the students' characteristics, observation factors, thinking process, learning behaviors, and experiential clinical learning. The exogenous variables, on the other hand, were the outcomes of clinical learning in emergency nursing in ners students. The results of statistic test with Partial Least Square showed that all indicators and constructs variable were valid and significant. the significance test using structural model (t > 1,96), showed that the students' characteristics affected the observation factor, thinking process, and experiential clinical learning. The variable of observation factor affected the thinking process and learning behaviors. The variable of thinking process affected learning behaviors. The variable of learning behaviors affected experiential clinical learning. In addition, the variable of experiential clinical learning influenced the outcomes of clinical learning in emergency nursing in ners students. Experiential clinical learning model is categorized as a good model and has a prediction value if applied can improve learning achievement of clinical learning in emergency nursing in ners students. The dominant factors of successful experiential clinical learning are the characteristics of the students and learning behavior in ners students.

Abstract

Background: Factors that trigger stress in adolescents are academic, interpersonal, and family stress. The teenager will feel happy just by playing various game online applications contained in smartphones, but the problems that were previously faced were not resolved. Objectives: This study aimed to determine the relationship between stress levels and online game addiction in adolescents at Hidayatul Ummah High School Surabaya. Methods: This study used an observational approach with a cross-sectional method. The population in this study were all students of classes X, XI, and XII, totaling 80 students. The sample size is 80 students with the Simple Random Sampling method. Data analysis using Spearman Rank test. The variables in this study are stress levels and online game addiction. The instrument used to measure stress level is a Perceived Stress Score (PSS) and Measurement of game addiction using the Indonesian Online Game Addiction Questionnaire. Results: The results of data analysis using the Spearman Rank test with the results = 0.002 which means there is a significant relationship between stress levels and online game addiction in adolescents at Hidayatul Ummah High School Surabaya. The results in this study were the students of grades X, XI, and XII at Hidayatul Ummah High School Surabaya experienced a moderate level of stress with online game addiction in the category of severe addiction. Conclusion: The level of stress with online game addiction carried out at Hidayatul Ummah High School Surabaya mostly experienced moderate stress levels and heavy category addiction to online games.

Abstract

Pendahuluan: masih banyak perawat yang belum berpengalaman dalam merawat anak dengan gangguan psikiatri serta belum memiliki keterampilan yang memadai dalam melakukan asuhan keperawatan pada kasus jiwa anak dan remaja.Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan keterampilan perawat dalam memberikan asuhan pada kasus psikiatri anak dan remaja.Hasil: Hasil kegiatan pelatihan didapatkan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang asuhan jiwa pada anak dan remaja.Kesimpulan: Implikasi dari hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah perlunya dilakukan pelatihan terkait pengetahuan dan keterampilan perawat dalam melakukan asuhan keperawatan jiwa pada anak dan remaja dengan mempertimbangkan aspek dukungan finansial dari tempat kerja untuk mendorong stafnya mengikuti training atau workshop asuhan keperawatan jiwa pada anak dan remaja terutama pada perawat yang bekerja di unit anak dan remaja.

Abstract

Introduction: The increase in the spread of disease due to the Covid-19 virus is the impact of low hygiene and healthy living habits in the community.Methods: Health promotion activities for clean and healthy living habits are carried out in the form of training in the area of RW 5, Pacarkembang Village, Surabaya City. This activity was attended by 40 housewives for 3 months, starting from July to September 2020. The material provided was about the importance of PHBS in households to prevent transmission of COVID 19 to evaluation of the habituation of implementing PHBS to prevent infectious disease COVID 19. The method used in activities are lectures, discussions, simulations and demonstrations by the facilitator as well as redemonstrations by the participants.Results: Knowledge, attitudes and psychomotor of housewives in the spread of Covid-19 transmission after being given PHBS training for 3 months increased. Assessment is carried out by comparing the pre-test and post-test results of the training participants. After attending the training, the majority of the participants' abilities were in the good category in the knowledge aspect (90%), the attitude aspect (90%) and the psychomotor aspect (87.5%).Conclusion: Increasing knowledge about Covid-19 during the training raises awareness, interest in housewives in Pacarakembang Village, Surabaya City to try and make behaviors to prevent the spread of Covid-19 a new good and healthy habit.
