Abstract

Introduction: Breast cancer is a type of cancer with the highest incidence among women worldwide. It has an impact on the patient's physical, psychological, social, and functional health. Breast cancer patients have a greater burden of symptoms, which can lead to decreased quality of life. This study had the objective to describe breast cancer patients' quality of life in a hospital. Methods: A descriptive observational study design was used. The research population was breast cancer patients in a public hospital. The sample in this study was based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, with a total of 110 respondents obtained through the proportional sampling technique. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis. Data were collected by referencing demographic data and distributing a quality-of-life questionnaire (FACT-B). Results: Regarding the quality-of-life variable, findings show that 32 patients had very bad physical well-being (29.1%). Most of the social well-being relations were good, with 40 respondents in this category (36.4%). The majority were in the bad category in terms of functional well-being, with 52 respondents being identified (47.3%). Emotional well-being was considered good for 66 respondents (60.0%). In terms of additional concerns, as many as 60 respondents were in the bad category (54.2%).Conclusions: Chronic conditions can negatively impact patients' physical health and quality of life. Low quality of life is related to the burden of symptoms experienced by patients, such as anxiety, depression, and fatigue. This suggests that social support can strengthen effective coping and improve patients' quality of life. Keywords: breast cancer; breast carcinoma; health-related quality of life; quality of life; patients

Abstract

This study aims to analyze tepid sponge baths' effect in reducing hyperthermic children's body temperature. The research method used by Quasy is an experimental pre-test and post-test design. This study's results show a significant change in pre-measurements in respondents with hyperthermic body temperature. The criteria for achieving body temperature within normal limits with the tepid sponge bath intervention for 10-15 minutes, the post-test results show a decrease in the average body temperature of respondents from 38.5℃ to 36.5℃ in 10 respondents, the results criteria were achieved. In conclusion, providing tepid sponge bath therapy effectively reduces body temperature in children who experience problems treating hyperthermia. Abstract

This study aims to describe to utilize electronic medical records (EMR) for clinical practice, research, education and surveillance. The research method uses systematic review was prepared based on Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyzes (PRISMA). This study used 8 articles that met the inclusion criteria. The results showed that literature search yielded 12,678 articles (337 from Scopus, 3,414 from Science Direct, 8,880 from Proquest and 47 from Pubmed). The research above explains that digitization in hospital nursing holds promise for changing the organization of care processes and, therefore, providing relief for nursing staff shortages. While advanced technology solutions and many application fields, comprehensive implementation remains challenging. Many publications show that electronic medical records (EMR) can make an important contribution to improving service quality. In conclusion, the results of this systematic review provide evidence for policy makers to be able to consider the development of EMR-based OTEK nursing intervention documentation for improving performance. The research sample was 30 intervention groups and 32 control groups that met the inclusion criteria obtained through purposive sampling. The independent variable is Therapeutic Group Therapy while the dependent variable is self-identity. Data obtained using a questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Sign Ranks Test and Mann-Whitney U Test with a significance level âˆ” <0.05. Results : The results of the analysis of the intervention group showed the effect of TKT on self-identity (p = 0.0001). The results of the Mann-Whitney U Statistical Test of self-identity test showed a value of p = 0,0001 ( âˆ” <0.05) meaning that there was an effect of TKT on self-identity between the two groups. Conclusion : TKT is done by health workers can help identify identity status teenagers and can improve self-identity teenager who lived in the orphanage through health education.

Abstract

This systematic review aims to determine the global prevalence of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders among homeless people and its implications. The method we used was to search for articles that determined the prevalence of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders among homeless people in Scopus, Web of Science, Science Direct, PubMed, and Google Scholar that were published in English between 2018-2022. Eligibility of study articles was assessed using the Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines. The results of this systematic review were 114 articles from five databases: 46 articles in Scopus, 28 articles in PubMed, 20 articles in Science Direct, 10 articles from PsycoINFO, and 10 articles from Google Scholar. The results of the selection of articles that met the inclusion criteria were 10 articles, then given serial numbers and analysis of the articles was carried out to facilitate the review process. Selected articles will be presented in PRISMA format. The prevalence of schizophrenia was 13.20% for studies conducted in or after 2010, and 8.88% for studies conducted before 2010, while the prevalence of psychosis was 24.44%. In conclusion, the prevalence of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders among homeless people is still very high. Abstract

Background: Chemotherapy is typically administered in specific doses and schedules to maximize its effectiveness in killing cancer cells. If a patient does not adhere to the prescribed regimen, the treatment may be less effective, potentially allowing the cancer to grow or spread. Digital interventions offer innovative approaches to address the issue of adherence. The aim of this study is to analyze the effect of digital interventions on enhancing cancer patients' adherence to chemotherapy. Method: This systematic review analyzed full-text original articles published in English in databases including Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, CINAHL, and ProQuest from 2018 to February 2024. The articles were identified using the keywords: (telehealth OR telecare OR telenursing OR “smart application” OR “mobile application”) AND (adherence OR “treatment adherence”) AND (chemotherapy OR “adjuvant chemotherapy” OR “drug therapy”) AND (cancer OR neoplasm*). Bias was assessed using the Critical Appraisal Skills Program (CASP) tool. Results: A total of 456 items were found. Thirteen relevant papers from the literature search focused on breast cancer patients. The number of participants across all studies was 2,289. The digital interventions used included mobile games, video conferences, text messaging related to mobile health, and apps. These interventions provided medication reminders, symptom reporting, adherence tracking, and patient education, all of which contributed to increased chemotherapy adherence. Conclusion: Digital interventions positively influence chemotherapy adherence in cancer patients. The use of technology enables patients to actively participate in their treatment. This review was conducted across various continents, making the findings applicable to diverse ethnicities and races.
