Abstract

The context of teaching and learning in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic provides more space for families to teach their children, especially at an early age. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to examine the phenomenon of family-based early childhood learning starting from literature studies, problems to solutions in overcoming these problems. The solution that is the key to successful learning in the family environment is the internalization of what parents teach their children. The author uses a collaborative learning design in its application. This solution will direct the child to find a learning style that suits him. This is certainly beneficial for parents in making it easier to teach their children. Therefore, it is hoped that the existence of this research study can be an alternative reference for parents in teaching their children, especially at the early age level which is the rapid development of the brain in receiving various external information around it.

Abstract

Baritan is one of the traditions of an agricultural community that has been passed down from generation to generation in Rowosari Village, Kendal Regency. This tradition is carried out as a form of gratitude to God for the abundance of harvests and blessings received by the community. The commemoration of the night of One Syuro is an important moment in the implementation of Baritan, where people pray together and give offerings as a form of gratitude and hope that life will remain prosperous and avoid danger. Through this procession, Baritan not only functions as a religious ritual, but also strengthens social relations between residents. This ritual creates a close connection between the spiritual life, culture and social solidarity of the Rowosari Village community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of a hydroponic training program implemented by the Class II Purwokerto Correctional Center (Bapas) in improving the skills and independence of correctional clients. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through interviews with vocational guidance officers and participating clients. The results indicate that hydroponic training had a positive impact on clients, both in technical skills and in their social readiness to reintegrate into society. Clients reported increased self-confidence, new hopes, and potential for independent entrepreneurship after completing the program. However, the training still faces challenges such as limited funding and program sustainability. Despite these obstacles, the training is considered effective as a form of career advocacy and independence development, aligned with the goals of social rehabilitation in the correctional system.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that may begin during pregnancy and is strongly influenced by maternal nutritional status, particularly adequate protein intake. Pregnant women with 4T risk factors (too young, too old, short birth spacing, and high parity) are more vulnerable to nutritional problems that can affect fetal growth. This community service activity aims to improve the knowledge and skills of high-risk pregnant women in fulfilling protein intake through nutrition education and training on soy milk (PUSUI) preparation as an alternative source of plant-based protein. A quasi-experimental design without a control group was applied using a participatory educational approach. The activity was conducted in Tanjung Gunung Village, Central Bangka Regency, involving 25 pregnant women with 4T risk factors. The intervention consisted of interactive educational sessions, discussions, and hands-on demonstrations and practice in soy milk preparation. Evaluation was carried out descriptively through observation and post-test assessments to measure participants' understanding. The results showed an improvement in participants' knowledge regarding the role of protein during pregnancy and their ability to independently prepare soy milk. In addition, participants demonstrated good acceptance of soy milk as an alternative protein source. In conclusion, this community service program is effective and feasible as a supportive strategy to increase protein intake among high-risk pregnant women and contribute to stunting prevention from the prenatal period.
