Abstract

Community service is conducted in the form of a training workshop on the use of wingeom software for elementary, junior and senior high school teachers in Pangalengan District. The purpose of this service is to improve teacher competence in using learning software in the classroom, especially wingeom software. The location of the service was held at SMAN 1 Pangalengan, with a total of 51 participants. Researchers conducted initial observations by distributing questionnaires on the google form. The results of preliminary observations indicate that teachers in schools are still lacking in the use of ICT, especially mathematical software in learning. The teachers do not have the skills to use the software in learning mathematics. The lack of use of ICT is due to the teachers' lack of understanding of ICT, so that teachers have difficulty in operating mathematical software. This has encouraged the implementation team to conduct wingeom software training to improve the competence of teachers in the ICT field in Pangalengan District. During the wingeom software training, the teachers were very enthusiastic in following their activities from the beginning to the end of the training. Through the questionnaire at the end of the training it was found that the teachers could master the wingeom software and be able to apply the software when learning especially learning about geometry. Wingeom software training can improve the competence of teachers in Pangalengan District. Through this mathematics software training, the teacher has skills n teaching mathematics that is interesting and fun for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan mathematical problem posing siswa SMK antara yang menggunakan pendekatan open-ended dan pendekatan saintifik. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa SMK kelas XI di SMK TI Pembangunan Kota Cimahi, Jawa Barat. Sampel diperoleh dengan teknik purposive sampling, yaitu dua kelas dengan kemampuan matematis siswa yang tidak berbeda secara signifikan, sehingga diperoleh dua kelas yaitu XI RPL-B sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan pendekatan open-ended dan XI TEI-C sebagai kelas kontrol yang menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Kedua kelas memiliki kemampuan matematis yang tidak berbeda secara signifikan melalui uji-t. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuasi eksperimen. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes kemampuan mathematical problem posing yang berjumlah lima butir soal uraian pada materi persamaan kuadrat. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji statistic independent sample t-test terhadap hasil data pretest dan posttest kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol melalui uji normalitas, dan uji nonparametrik Mann-Whitney. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mathematical problem posing siswa menggunakan pendekatan open-ended lebih baik daripada menggunakan pendekatan saintifik. Pendekatan open-ended memberikan siswa kesempatan yang lebih banyak dalam mengeksplorasi aktivitas menyusun masalah baru atau membuat pertanyaan berdasarkan informasi yang tersedia, sehingga jawaban siswa menjadi lebih beraneka ragam.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalis kemampuan pemecahan matematis siswa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif analitis sehingga diperoleh gambaran tentang kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis, pedoman wawancara, dan angket yang telah dilakukan validasi. Pedoman wawancara untuk memperoleh informasi tentang kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa. Angket untuk mengetahui minat siswa terhadap matematika. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII pada salah satu SMP di Kabupaten Purwakarta yang sebanyak 30 orang. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa tersebut tergolong rendah. dari data yang didapat 36 siswa, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa masih tergolong rendah. Banyak siswa masih keliru dalam indikator memahami masalah, merencanakan penyelesaian, melaksanakan penyelesaian, dan memeriksa kembali jawaban. Hal tersebut disebabkan karena siswa masih belum terbiasa mengerjakan soal-soal pemecahan masalah sehingga siswa mendapatkan kesulitan dalam memahami setiap soal tersebut, siswa banyak yang keliru dalam melakukan perhitungan penyelesaian masalah, selain itu siswa rata-rata tidak memeriksa kembali jawaban yang telah dibuat. Siswa perlu sering dilatih untuk mengerjakan soal-soal pemecahan masalah agar kemampuan pemecahan masalah mereka bisa meningkat, siswa diharapkan akan lebih teliti dalam memahami permasalahan, menentukan jawaban, serta memeriksa kembali jawaban yang telah dibuatnya.

Abstract

Film merupakan media massa yang memiliki fungsi, antara lain sebagai saluran informasi, pendidikan, sarana hiburan dan untuk memengaruhi. Pesan di dalam film tersebut dikemas sedemikian rupa sesuai fungsinya untuk mencapai tujuan yang ingin dicapainya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan pesan positif dalam film Hidden Figures yang bertema rasisme di Amerika Serikat pada tahun 1960an. Setting film ini adalah persaingan untuk mengorbitkan astronot ke luar angkasa antara Amerika Serikat (NASA) dengan Rusia atau Uni Soviet. Hasil pembahasan tulisan ini menunjukkan pesan-pesan positif dalam film Hidden Figures, antara lain, semangat pantang menyerah dalam memerjuangan hak yang seharusnya diperoleh, orang yang pintar dan terampil dapat bertahan hidup, dan menghargai perbedaan membawa kebaikan bagi semua pihak.

Abstract

Pemerintah mengeluarkan kebijakan untuk mengganti Ujian Nasional dengan Asesmen Nasional yang didalamnya memuat asesmen Kompetensi minimum (AKM). Jenis soal AKM masih belum familiar di kalangan guru oleh karena itu tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam Menyusun soal AKM. Metode dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan dan workshop penyusunan soal AKM yang dilaksankan 3 sesi. Instrumen yang menjadi acuan kegiatan ini adalah angket dengan 14 pernyataan untuk mengukur pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam Menyusun soal AKM, subjek dalam pengabdian ini sebanyak 100 guru di kabupaten Pangandaran yang terdiri dari guru sekolah dasar dan menengah Adapun lokasi pengabdian yaitu di SDN 2 Pananjung Kab. Pangandaran. Hasil penngabdian ini yaitu pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam Menyusun soal berbasis AKM meningkat sebesar 34,72% dan masuk dalam kategori baik. Kemudian respon guru positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan ini. Hasil pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat di implementasikan dalam pembelajaran guru di kelas dengan memberikan soal-soal berbasis AKM kepada siswa agar siswa lebih siap dalam menghadapi Asesmen Nasional.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze learning motivation on geogebra-assisted flat-sided space building materials. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive methods. The subjects of this study were class VIII students of 6 people, consisting of 3 male students and 3 female students. The data collection technique uses a student learning motivation scale questionnaire on flat-sided space building materials supported by a geogebra application that contains 10 statements – 5 positive and negative statements respectively. The results of the analysis on this study showed that students were motivated by the use of the Geogebra application. The average student response is very strong. Using this Geogebra application proved to be very helpful for students on flat-sided room building materials.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the feasibility and effectivity of Student Activity Sheets that has been made before actually use while learning process. Methods used i.e. qualitative descriptive with the sample as many as 32 students and three expert people which include learning materials expert, linguist, and media expert. This form of research instruments in question form validation of expert teaching materials, question form validation of linguist, question form validation of media expert, question form of student responses, and Student Activity Sheet based Problem Solving Approach with teaching materials of comparative worth in grade seven. Validation by expert teaching materials amounted to 75%, validation by linguist amounted to 73, 3%, validation by media expert amounted to 96, 3%, student responses amounted to 79, 89%. It means the Student Activity Sheet based Problem Solving Approach that has been made can be used and effective as a learning media.

Abstract

One of the learning efforts that are discovering the concept with the creation of the student activity sheet based approach to Problem Based Learning. The purpose of this research is to analyze the feasibility of Student Activity Sheets that have been made before actually used when the learning process. This descriptive qualitative research methods, with a sample of 33 students one of 228 West Bandung Regency. The instrument to be prepared is student activity sheet based approaches Problem Based Learning, the now expert validation material, linguist, connoisseur media, and now student response. As for the results of the research that is now 75% material expert validation, linguists 75%, 83%, and media expert question form student response 76%. It can be concluded that the students already there is an interest in working on is student activity sheet but should still be in the lead. Student activity sheet based approach to Problem Based Learning can be used in learning.

Abstract

This research was motivated to analyze students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research is a study that uses qualitative descriptive methods. The subjects of this study were class XII students, totaling 20 students in one of the Cimahi City Aliyah Madrasas. The stages of this research start from the process of planning, implementation, and observation. The instrument problem solving a mathematical problem that is given is a question that has been tested validation by mathematicians, amounting to 5 questions. From the results of the research that has been carried out, there are difficulties in students' difficulties in solving existing problems. Students who have low level of ability, difficulty factors that occur among them students have not been able to understand the problems faced with the problem, students still have difficulty in planning the completion model that will be used in answering each question, students also still not right to determine the next line in the arithmetic sequence. So that students cannot solve the problem of mathematical problem-solving skills properly.

Abstract

Problem solving is identical to learning mathematics because every student learning inevitably prompted work onreserved to measure the student's ability. The purpose of this research is to know the student's problem solving abilities. The method used is descriptive qualitative methods Researchers acted as observer, giving the question of tests and question form on the students. Test instrument in the form of descriptions and question form Habits Of Mind (habits). The subject of research that is grade VII. Researchers using an indicator of problem solving: understanding the problem, devise a plan of resolution, carry out the plan of settlement, check back. From the results of the tests given. Habits Of Mind affects the student's problem solving ability and the students is hampered in its execution completion indicators and check back for answers.
