Abstract

The brain is the most important body organ that humans have to act as a process for all movements and thoughts in the human body. The brain emits a signal when doing an activity and can be captured by an interface device called brain computer interfaces. To stimulate brain signal activity a stimulus is used, namely an imagery motor. Imagery motors are representations of motor movements imagined by the brain. In this study using 3 datasets namely datasets that have been collected by researchers with muse devices with subjects numbering 20 and having an age range of 19-23 years, the second and third datasets are BCI Competition IIIA and IIIB which are publicly available at bbci.de. The BCI Competition IIIA and IIIB datasets will be used to compare the quality of the datasets collected by the researchers. Signal processing uses the Butterworth Filter Infinite Impulse Response method with a frequency range of 8 to 30 Hz. In this study a study was conducted on the implementation of feature extraction methods with the help of the Discrete Fourier Transform method and the classification of brain signals using the Extreme Learning Machine method that uses imagery motor stimuli. The results obtained were 44% accuracy for 5 classes, 85% and 90% for 2 classes using Muse datasets, 66.67% and 75% 4 classes using BCI Competition IIIA datasets and 93.33% 2 classes using BCI Competition IIIB datasets.

Abstract

Facial skin is one of the important parts of a human body. Lots of people trying to make their skin flawless. And also, most of them are willing to spend their money to achieve a perfect skin starts from treatment with distinguished doctors, applying expensive skin products or going abroad to get the product that matches with their skin type. The problem is, people are having difficulties on choosing the right product due to the nonconformity between the purchased product with the skin type. Moreover, this problem leads to acne, wrinkles, and black spot on the skin. The need for a system to ease non-expert to determine their skin type. So, they can purchase the product that fits their skin type. Therefore, the author propose to build a classification system which can classify skin types. In building that, the author uses haar wavelet method which is has been proven to get good result. Based on the result of this research, the highest accuracy is 90% in detection type of skin.

Abstract

Indonesia is a producer of “Keprok” and the largest harvest area in ASEAN. In market competition, the most important thing for oranges is quality. The visual technology method can be used to replace the quality determination process that is still manual. One process of determining automatic quality is segmentation. Segmentation is the process of separating objects studied from less important parts. The segmentation process is an important process in determining quality, the results of segmentation must be precise, no under segmentation or no over segmentation. This study uses the region growing method with texture value parameters obtained from contrast, homogeneity, entropy, and energy features in the gray level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM) method. First, the image of oranges is taken. In the image of oranges, pre-processing takes the form of changing the color and size of the image. Then the image of the orange is divided into a collection of pixels called windows, with sizes 10, 20, 50, and 100 pixels. From the window group, one window will be selected which becomes the starting point for region growing. In the initial window and 8 neighbor windows, feature values are taken. The neighboring window is considered to be the orange part if it has a feature value according to the boundary. This study resulted in the best level of segmentation accuracy of 84.7% with a window size of 50x50 pixels, an entropy feature, and a limit value of 5.

This study aimed to investigate the concentration of heavy metals (Cu, Zn, Pb, and Cd) in the seawater, sediment, and soft parts of the marine mussels (Perna viridis, Meretrix sp., and Anadara granosa), as well as to evaluate its health risk of consumption from Madura Strait, Indonesia. The seawater, sediment, and marine mussels were obtained from four sites and heavy metal concentrations were analyzed using Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. In the seawater, heavy metals were in the order of Cu, Pb, Cd, and Zn from the highest to the lowest concentration respectively, while they went down in the order of Zn, Cu, Pb, and Cd in the sediment respectively. Excluding the Pb, higher Cu and Zn concentrations were observed in marine mussels than in seawater and sediments (BAF> 1). Furthermore, it was proven that Cu and Zn were considered as essential metals and required for metabolism, while Pb and Cd were non-essential metals which their biological functions were unknown. The Estimated Daily Intake (EDI) of the marine mussels was lower than the oral reference dose (ORD) and low values of target hazard quotient (THQ < 1) had shown that the consumption of mussels containing heavy metals would not cause significant health risks to humans. The health risk assessment indexes showed low values, which meant insignificant health hazard. However, long-term exposure and the impact of consuming mussels containing heavy metals may require additional investigation

Abstract

Highlight ResearchThe feedback harvest control rule resulted in the lowest allowable biological catch estimation than the surplus production models.  The feedback harvest control rule adapted the recent years of historical catch data.The surplus production models might result in over or under catch estimation, not considering the recent data.This multispecies fishery could not provide species specific data as surplus production models required; therefore, it might be better to use the feedback harvest control rule that has been validated for multispecies fisheries. AbstractScads fishery in Blitar waters is a multispecies fishery applying harvest control rules (HCRs) from conventional single-species approaches which technically, may not be applicable to employ in such mixed-species data composed from the multispecies fishery. The feedback HCR is an alternative validated harvest control rule that can be applied for a multispecies fishery. The aim of this study was to technically compare the application of the feedback HCR and conventional single species approaches in terms of estimating the future allowable biological catch (ABC). Therefore, in this study, ABC was estimated by applying three HCRs, the feedback HCR, and two conventional HCRs which was based on single-species approaches applying surplus production models, Schaefer Model and Fox model into catch and effort of scads fisheries data series of 2011 – 2020. The results showed that the ABC estimation of the feedback HCR was a half lower than that of both conventional models. It was biologically safer to apply the feedback HCR to set the annual total allowable catch (TAC) than the other two HCRs. The feedback HCR presented an initial step toward sustainably managing multispecies fisheries while dealing with data-limited conditions.

Abstract

Alfagift merupakan sebuah aplikasi dari Alfamart yang memungkinkan pengguna untuk melakukan belanja kebutuhan secara online tanpa harus pergi ke toko ritel Alfamart. Alfagift per 24 Oktober 2023 merupakan aplikasi peringkat 6 pada kategori shopping dengan lebih dari 10 juta download dan nilai rating 4/5 di AppStore. Alfagift memiliki beberapa kekurangan dalam aspek pengalaman penggunanya. Salah satu kekurangan tersebut yaitu yang akan diteliti pada skripsi ini adalah kurangnya penerapan prinsip heuristik Nielsen pada desain antarmuka. Prinsip yang diimplementasikan pada desain treatment aplikasi Alfagift adalah prinsip heuristik Nielsen yaitu consistency and standards. Pengujian menggunakan metode moderated usability testing akan dilakukan terhadap desain control dan treatment pada setiap responden untuk mendapatkan data-data usability yaitu task time, success rate, dan kesan pengguna. Pengujian dilakukan terhadap 30 responden mahasiswa/i berusia 18-22 tahun. Setelah data berhasil dikumpulkan melalui pengujian, rata-rata data kemudian diolah dengan menggunakan 95% confidence interval dan paired sample t-test. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan adalah terdapat perbedaan (p=0,0212) pada rata-rata task time antara desain control dan treatment dengan effect size desain control sebesar 209,23±17,76 dan effect size desain treatment sebesar 192,03±15,05. Tidak ada perbedaan (p=0,5725) pada rata-rata success rate antara desain control dan treatment dengan effect size desain control sebesar 98±1,38 dan effect size desain treatment sebesar 97,50±1,13. Terdapat perbedaan (p=0,0013) pada rata-rata kesan pengguna antara desain control dan treatment dengan effect size desain control sebesar 5,70±0,91 dan effect size desain treatment sebesar 4,77±0,85.

Abstract

Smart city merupakan penggunaan teknologi dan komunikasi untuk meningkatkan pelayanan masyarakat dan mencapai kualitas hidup yang lebih baik. Pada Kabupaten Rembang sendiri telah meluncurkan smart city-nya yang bernama Rembang Gemilang Mobile pada tahun 2022. Pada observasi yang telah dilakukan pada Rembang Gemilang Mobile yang menemukan bahwa Rembang Gemilang belum menerapkan kaidah Hick Law yang ditunjukkan pada halaman yang terletak register dan Rembang Gemilang Mobile juga belum menerapkan prinsip match between the system and the real world yaitu pada bagian icon untuk fitur wisata yang menggunakan icon kamera sebagai representasi dari fitur tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan pengujian a/b testing kepada 60 partisipan secara unmoderated dan Single Ease Question setelah pengujian selesai serta penentuan hipotesis akan dilaksanakan perbandingan dengan T-test dan Chi-square test untuk design control dan design treatment. Hasil analisis menunjukkan pada task register tidak ada perbedaan pada success rate(p=1.00), task time(p=0.15), dan ease(p=0.25) untuk halaman register pada Aplikasi Rembang Gemilang Mobile ketika menggunakan desain asli dan desain dari hukum hick. Kemudian hasil analisis menunjukkan pada task icon wisata tidak ada perbedaan pada success rate(p=1.00), task time(p=0.47), dan number of error(p=0.32) untuk icon pada fitur wisata aplikasi Rembang Gemilang Mobile ketika menggunakan desain icon kamera dan desain icon pantai.

Abstract

Komunikasi merupakan salah satu proses interaksi yang sangat penting antar manusia untuk saling bersosialisasi serta menjembatani kultur dan latar belakang orang yang berbeda-beda. Komunikasi sering menjadi masalah pokok bagi penyandang tuna rungu. Penggunaan bahasa isyarat adalah langkah yang diambil oleh para penyandang tuna rungu untuk tetap mampu berinteraksi dengan masyarakat umum. Maka dari itu, untuk memastikan bahwa semua orang dapat berpartisipasi secara penuh dalam lingkungan sosial, penting bagi masyarakat umum untuk mempelajari bahasa isyarat sebagai sarana komunikasi dengan penyandang tuna rungu. Berdasarkan survei yang telah dilakukan kepada 111 mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya, 91% responden merasa tertarik untuk mempelajari bahasa isyarat. Disamping itu, 91.9% responden tertarik untuk menggunakan aplikasi pembelajaran bahasa isyarat yang menerapkan metode gamifikasi di dalamnya. Beberapa aplikasi pembelajaran bahasa isyarat telah dikembangkan, namun belum ada yang bisa melakukan translasi per kata dari gerakan ke teks, memberikan soal dalam memperagakan bahasa isyarat, serta menerapkan gamifikasi di dalamnya. Maka dari itu, dikembangkan sebuah aplikasi pembelajaran bahasa isyarat menggunakan metode prototyping berbasis Android untuk mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Komputer Universitas Brawijaya. Aplikasi ini dikembangkan menggunakan SDLC Prototyping, bahasa pemrograman Kotlin, Google Cloud Platform dan Room Database sebagai tempat penyimpanan data, serta arsitektur Model-View-View-Model. Aplikasi ini lalu diuji menggunakan black box testing dengan tingkat keberhasilan 100% dan usability testing dengan tingkat efektivitas 100%, serta nilai SUS 76.5 yang berarti aplikasi dapat diterima oleh pengguna.
