Abstract

This article aims to analyze the activities of protodiplomacy in the series of conflicts between Russia and Ukraine in 2022. This paper uses qualitative methodology with a case study method. Data collection techniques and, data sources use secondary data through ethnography. In addition, the data analysis technique used is a tracking process to review the historical traces of the occurrence of protodiplomacy in Ukraine. Based on the results of the author’s study, the results obtained are that protodiplomacy is a districtarea activity within the state in the form of a Union or Decentralization that seeks to secede from the territory of the country due to differences in various sides. Paradiplomacy activities as a foreign relations strategy carried out by sub-state actors or local governments are the beginning of protodiplomacy. This means that paradiplomacy activities have the potential to become protodiplomacy if there is no political control in the government’s political governance system. So that paradiplomacy can move as a global political agency to seek support and separate itself from the territory of the country. This research argues that the occurrence of protodiplomacy by Luhansk is due to differences in Culture, Political Justice, and Economic Justice. Protodiplomacy is also known as Identity Paradiplomacy because of the disintegration that occurs due to differences in identity so that regions act to secede. The pro-diplomacy activities that occurred in Luhansk, the Ukrainian region, were also not leas from the support and conflict that struck between Russia and Ukraine. The implication is that Luhansk is more free to choose and move. Moreover, Luhansk has the same historical traces as Russia. Thus, political support became an instrument for Luhansk to secede. Thus, the phenomenon of great power through invasion became a new tradition in the study of contemporary international relations. And it marks the return of great power in global conflicts. On the other hand, the security threat to Ukraine comes not only from the Russian state but from within the country, namely protodiplomacy (desecuritization).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of economic growth and education, which is thought to affect poverty. This study establishes crime as a moderating variable in fourteen districts and cities in West Kalimantan Province. The research data is panel data processed using a quantitative descriptive approach. We use a multiple regression model to seek the relationship between economic growth, education, and poverty, moderated by crime. The findings of this study illustrate that education affects poverty, while economic growth does not affect poverty. It has been discovered that crime plays an essential role in West Kalimantan to moderate economic growth into a better or worse condition of poverty. People's purchasing power and inequality in receiving benefits of growth tend to fail economic growth for reducing poverty. Also, crime has a strong relationship with education, and moderate education affects this Province's poverty. Government has to ensure a safe and conducive socio-economics condition to optimize the benefits of growth and education.JEL:  I25, P25, R11.

Abstract

Although it is a highly serious human crime, people trafficking still occurs, particularly in West Kalimantan's border region. West Kalimantan's border region has seen a variety of attempts to reduce human trafficking, yet the practice persists still. There is a need for a solution or model that can lessen instances of human trafficking in the West Kalimantan border region, carried out so that the parties involved are unaware of it.This study aims to develop an appropriate model for legal protection to deal with human trafficking at the border West Kalimantan. Methods of the Research, The research will be conducted at the Polres in the Sajingan and Biawak border regions, as stated in the research title. The Sajingan Besar sector's Resort Police and Border Communities are two sources of crime prevention strategies based on legal requirements, The study's findings serve as a model for public protection from human trafficking activities from the perspective of the role of law enforcement officials, the police in the border regions of Sajingan and Biawak, in particular, to combat the crime of trafficking in persons, conduct investigations, and look into cases of human trafficking that happened in the border regions of Sambas Regency, particularly Sajin. The criminal law (penal) is used by the authorities as a model of legal protection to stop human trafficking. However, there is still human trafficking that takes place. Because there are still several barriers to sentencing that do not take into account the elements of a crime. The unlawful behavior in place does not yet constitute the TIP factor. Using criminal law policies and cultural norms to carry out criminal crimes like human trafficking, protecting the public, and implementing coordination with illegal law enforcement policies all help to enhance efforts to combat corruption
