Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the effect of entrepreneurship practice and financial literacy on students' entrepreneurial intention, both directly and through the mediating role of self-efficacy, within the Digital Entrepreneurship course at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. A quantitative survey design was employed, involving 327 active students from the 2022 and 2023 cohorts selected through proportional random sampling from a population of 1,800 students. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling with the aid of SmartPLS software. The results show that entrepreneurship practice has no significant direct effect on entrepreneurial intention, whereas financial literacy does. Both independent variables, however, strongly predict self-efficacy, which in turn significantly influences entrepreneurial intention. Mediation testing further confirms that self-efficacy fully mediates the relationship between entrepreneurship practice and entrepreneurial intention, and partially mediates the relationship between financial literacy and entrepreneurial intention. These findings suggest that self-efficacy functions as a key mechanism through which practical experience and financial knowledge are translated into a stronger intention to start a business. This study enriches the Theory of Planned Behavior in digital entrepreneurship education, offering practical considerations for universities in designing learning that emphasizes hands-on practice and deliberately cultivates students' self-confidence and financial literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of ICT-based learning media and student learning creativity on economic learning outcomes through an experimental study at grade X SMA Negeri 64 Jakarta. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The sample consisted of 72 students selected using cluster sampling, divided into an experimental group (36 students) using ICT-based learning media and a control group (36 students) using conventional learning methods. Data were collected through creativity questionnaires and economic learning outcome tests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, prerequisite tests, and two-way ANOVA. The results show that: (1) there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students using ICT-based learning media and those using conventional methods (F = 206.164; p = 0.000), with the experimental group achieving higher scores (mean = 89.03) than the control group (mean = 75.56); (2) there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between students with high and low learning creativity (F = 34.071; p = 0.000); and (3) there is no significant interaction between ICT-based learning media and learning creativity on economic learning outcomes (F = 0.024; p = 0.876). The model explains 79.1% of the variation in learning outcomes. These findings indicate that ICT-based learning media effectively improve student learning outcomes and creativity plays a significant role in determining academic achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of self-efficacy and achievement motivation on career choices among public vocational high school students in South Jakarta, with entrepreneurial intention as a mediating variable, based on the perspectives of the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) and the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which emphasize the role of intention in shaping individual decisions and behavior. This study employed a quantitative survey approach involving 267 Grade XII students selected using proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4. The results indicate that self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on entrepreneurial intention (T = 7.792; p = 0.000) and career choice (T = 4.832; p = 0.000). Achievement motivation positively and significantly affects entrepreneurial intention (T = 6.915; p = 0.000) and career choice (T = 5.735; p = 0.000). Entrepreneurial intention positively and significantly affects career choice (T = 5.167; p = 0.000) and mediates the effects of self-efficacy (T = 3.881; p = 0.000) and achievement motivation (T = 3.610; p = 0.000) on career choice. The R² values are 26.6% for entrepreneurial intention and 57.9% for career choice. These findings support TRA and TPB by demonstrating that intention serves as a mechanism linking individual psychological factors to career choices, particularly entrepreneurship as a career alternative after graduation.
