Abstract

Risiko merupakan hal yang tidak dapat dihindari. maka dari itu dilakukan manajemen risiko dengan tujuan untuk mengurangi risiko yang terjadi. Permasalahan yang terjadi pada PT. PJB UBJ O&M Tanjung Awar-Awar adalah produksi listrik yang mengalami gangguan. Coal pulverizer ada-lah salah satu mesin yang sering mengalami kerusakan yang menyebabkan proses produksi listrik terganggu. Dalam operasinya setiap unit terdapat 6 mesin coal pulverizer sebagai mesin penghalus batu bara sebelum masuk ke boiler. Metode Failure mode effect analysis (FMEA) adalah salah satu alat manajemen risiko yang dinilai bedasarkan RPN (risk priorty number) yang didapat dari hasil severity, occurrence, dan detection. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengurangi risiko kegagalan dari coal pulverizer yang menyebabkan proses produksi listrik terganggu. Bedasarkan tabel failure mode effect analysis terdapat 10 komponen coal pulverizer yang memiliki kerusakan terbesar yang dapat menghambat produksi listrik dengan nilai RPN sebesar 384 yang merupakan nilai tertinggi dari komponen pulverizer yang mengalami kegagalan. Hasil penelitiaan tersebut berupa Failure defense task (FDT) yang merupakan rekomendasi untuk mengurangi risiko mesin coal pulverizer di masa yang akan datang.

Abstract

Singing is a fun activity for children. Therefore, this method can be applied in learning English vocabulary, which is in fact a foreign language. Vocabulary learning is the first step for students to learn a language. At this stage of vocabulary learning, a fun method is needed to eliminate the notion that English is a language that is difficult to learn. The aim of this research is to find out to what extent the singing method for learning English vocabulary can increase students' interest or motivation to learn. The research used qualitative research methods using interviews and documentation in the data collection process and used data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification in the data analysis process. The research results show that using the singing method in learning English vocabulary can increase students' enthusiasm for learning. This can be seen from the enjoyable learning process, and this situation has an impact on students' scores, which have increased, namely Melia Nazwa Putri's mid-semester scores was 75, her final semester scores was 85, as well as Muhammad Iqbal Ashari's mid-semester score was 80 to 85, and Jessica Safa Arbenita's mid-semester score was 80 to 83. In this way, students' scores increased from the scores obtained during the mid-semester assessment (PTS) and the scores obtained during the final semester assessment (PAS).

Abstract

Functional grammar is a type of grammar discovered by Michael Halliday in the 60s. Even though this feels foreign to foreign language teachers at school, it is very interesting for scientific developers. In the field of language education, functional grammar is more commonly applied in terms of speaking and writing. The background to this is because functional grammar has an important purpose for foreign language students and provides facilities for foreign language students to know the language knowledge they need to know to be successful in school. This research hopes that researchers can find out whether there is a positive influence on the level of success of functional grammar knowledge in writing expository analytical texts during the second semester of the second year of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. This research uses a quantitative design. Researchers used pretest and posttest to determine the effectiveness of the treatment used in this study. The final design is to determine the influence between research variables. The T test results show a sign (two-tailed) of 0.000 and a significance level of 0.05. The result is Sig. (two-tailed) is below the significance level, so the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected. This means that students who are given material using functional grammar are more able to write analytical and expository texts than students who are not given functional grammar. It can be interpreted that functional grammar has a very good influence in writing expository analytical texts. Functional grammar can be used to support writing analytical descriptive text. Students will be able to develop writing skills, especially expository analytical writing. This grammar can also make students more critical when creating analytical descriptive texts.

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan suatu perusahaan agribisnis yang berfokus pada pengolahan crude palm oil (CPO) yang berlokasi di Indonesia. Pada praktiknya perusahaan masih belum menerapkan strategi preventive maintenance untuk perawatan mesin produksinya dan hanya mengandalkan corrective maintenance sebagai strategi dalam tindakan perawatan mesin. Berdasarkan data historis perusahaan yang ada pada bulan januari 2023-desember 2023 tercatat ada 96 kali tindakan perawatan yang dilakukan pada mesin niagara filter dan mesin tersebut memiliki nilai availabity terendah dibandingkan mesin yang lain sebesar 73,33%. Oleh karena itu peneliti berusaha melakukan evaluasi sistem perawatan mesin dengan menerapkan preventive maintenance berdasarkan klasifikasi ISMO. Preventive maintenance dengan klasifikasi ISMO mampu menentukan siklus perawatan dan estimasi biaya perawatan suatu mesin berdasarkan nilai repair complexity mesin yang akan diklasifikasikan dalam masing-masing kegiatan inspection, small repair, medium repair, and overhaul. Hasil penelitian menyatakan 1 siklus perawatan mesin niagara filter selama 3 tahun dengan rincian Inspection 9 kali, Small Repair 6 kali, dan Medium Repair 2 kali dan nilai availability mesin meningkat menjadi 88%. Sehingga, diperoleh total estimasi biaya perawatan mesin niagara filter dengan klasifikasi ISMO adalah sebesar Rp93.110.152,98.

Abstract

PT XYZ merupakan salah satu perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dalam bidang usaha industri keramik. Dalam pelaksanaan produksinya, masih ditemukan beberapa waste. Untuk mengurangi waste yang teridentifikasi dalam proses produksinya, digunakan penerapan Lean Manufacturing dengan metode VSM (Value Stream Mapping) untuk menganalisa dan merancang aliran material dan informasi sehingga dapat melakukan identifikasi, analisa dan mencari solusi untuk melakukan usulan perbaikan untuk mengurangi waste yang terjadi. Pada pelaksanaannya, dimulai dengan identifikasi waste yang dominan terjadi menggunakan kuesioner borda, selanjutnya dicocokkan dengan data perusahaan apakah waste tersebut benar terjadi atau tidak. Hasil identifikasi 3 waste dominan yang terjadi pada PT XYZ yaitu Overproduction, Defect dan Inventory. Usulan perbaikan yang diberikan untuk mengurangi waste yaitu, overproduction dengan peramalan yang mendapat hasil ramalan ke-13 sebesar 249,186.3 dengan nilai MAPE yang lebih kecil dari forecast perusahaan yaitu 0,75%, sehingga dapat digunakan untuk mengurangi waste overproduction sekaligus waste inventory dengan menambahkan perhitungan Safety Stock yaitu sebesar 9,162.54 unit dan defect dengan usulan perbaikan Root Cause Analysis dengan tools fishbone diagram untuk 3 defect dominan dan Kaizen 5W1H untuk merumuskan perbaikan yang tepat.

Abstract

This quantitative correlational study was conducted to find out the relationship between AI-Assisted English Learning, Tech Acceptance, and Willingness to Use English in the AI Learning, with the target population being the graduates of the English Language Education program at UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. There were 30 respondents taken for this quantitative correlation analysis, with the respondents completing an online questionnaire designed in relation to the AI usage scale, Tech Acceptance Model, and Willingness to Communicate. The data revealed that both predictors were found to be at high levels, denoting the involvement of the graduates in learning English and their positive attitude towards technology. AI-supported learning in English was revealed to be positively significant with Willingness to Use English (ρ =.386, p =.035), indicating that regular use of AI technologies boosts alumni confidence and drive when speaking English. In contrast, Willingness to Use English did not significantly correlate with Technology Acceptance (ρ =.155, p =.414). Nonetheless, the combination of the two variables explained 23.2% of the variance (R² =.232) and significantly contributed to the variation in Willingness to Use English (F = 4.085, p =.028). This result implied that the integration of AI with English language learning could enhance the quality of graduates’ communication preparedness, especially when they possessed an optimistic attitude towards technology. Future studies involving more factors, such as affective elements, should be conducted to further explore English language usage behavior post-graduation.

Abstract

This paper investigates the optimization of the Global Maximum Power Point (GMPP) and the simulation of Total Harmonic Distortion of Current (THDI) from an inverter connected to a nonlinear load. THDI variations are analyzed with respect to ambient temperature (T) and solar irradiance (G). The study also highlights how harmonic components negatively affect steady-state voltage stability in photovoltaic (PV) systems. The Queen Honey Bee Migration (QHBM) algorithm is applied to optimize GMPP while minimizing THDI. An off-grid PV-inverter system is modeled in MATLAB/Simulink. The model extracts THDI as a function of temperature and irradiance. Simulations cover irradiance from 794.8 to 994.2 W/m² and temperature from 20.0°C to 32.3°C, based on daily measurements from 08:25 to 16:50. The QHBM algorithm tracks GMPP effectively under fluctuating irradiance. Results show a 17.3% improvement in power extraction efficiency and a 32.8% reduction in THDI compared to conventional methods. The highest THDI occurs during low irradiance, particularly in the early morning and late afternoon. The algorithm converges in 0.18 seconds, outperforming other techniques. THDI increases during rapid irradiance and temperature changes. The proposed method ensures stable performance and lower THDI. Combining QHBM with active harmonic filters under low irradiance conditions is recommended to improve power quality and enhance system protection.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive digital learning media called Fluistik Zone on static fluid material using the 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). This media covers the subtopic of introductory static fluids, consisting of density, hydrostatic pressure, Pascal's law, and Archimedes' law. The development procedure begins with a needs analysis through teacher interviews and literature reviews, followed by the initial design of Android application-based media equipped with features such as learning videos, interactive quizzes, and Online Active Learning Guide (OALG). Validation was carried out by material experts and media experts with average validity results of 94% and 99% respectively in the very valid category. The practicality assessment by teachers reached 94% in the very well category and student responses showed an average of 85% in the well category. These findings indicate that Fluistik Zone is valid, practical, and interesting for students in supporting physics learning interactively and contextually. This media is designed following the principles of multimedia learning to increase student engagement and understanding. Therefore, Fluistik Zone has the potential as an effective, interesting, and relevant physics learning media innovation to support 21st century learning. However, testing the effectiveness of the media on learning outcomes has not been carried out experimentally and the trial is still limited to one school. Further research is recommended to test the effect of using Fluistik Zone on student learning outcomes through a quasi-experimental design and expand the development to other physics topics and different levels of education.

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of peer interaction and practice frequency on the English vocabulary mastery of eighth-grade students at MTs Miftahul Ulum Kebun Wangi. Employing a quantitative correlational approach, the study involved 48 participants selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected using two instruments: a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring peer interaction and practice frequency, and a 30-item vocabulary test assessing students’ lexical knowledge. The results of the descriptive analysis indicated mean scores of 3.40 (SD = 0.61) for peer interaction, 3.15 (SD = 0.68) for practice frequency, and 72.7% (SD = 11.9) for vocabulary mastery. Correlation analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between peer interaction and vocabulary mastery (r = 0.52, p < 0.001), as well as between practice frequency and vocabulary mastery (r = 0.60, p < 0.001). Furthermore, multiple regression analysis showed that both independent variables jointly accounted for 46% of the variance in vocabulary mastery (R² = 0.46, F(2,45) = 19.1, p < 0.001), with standardized beta coefficients of 0.34 for peer interaction and 0.41 for practice frequency. The findings highlight that collaborative peer engagement and consistent practice significantly enhance students’ vocabulary acquisition. It is therefore recommended that English teachers integrate peer-based and practice-oriented strategies to strengthen students’ lexical development.

Abstract

The fertilizer industry plays a strategic role in supporting agricultural productivity and national food security. However, production effectiveness is often constrained by machine downtime, which negatively affects operational performance. This study aims to analyze the main causes of machine downtime in the NPK granular compaction production process at PT XYZ and to propose appropriate improvement strategies. The research method employs downtime analysis using a Pareto diagram to identify the machine contributing the highest downtime, followed by root cause analysis using a Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagram and the 5W+1H method. The Pareto analysis results indicate that the Compact machine was the largest contributor to downtime during the October 2025 period, with a total duration of 395.23 hours. Fishbone analysis reveals that downtime is influenced by multiple interrelated factors, including machine, method, manpower, material, measurement, and working environment. Furthermore, the 5W+1H analysis shows that failures of key components such as the roller press, crusher chain, bearings, screen, and Teflon were caused by high workload, inadequate maintenance practices, non-compliance with standard operating procedures, substandard spare part quality, incomplete downtime records, and unfavorable working conditions. Based on the findings, strengthening the implementation of preventive maintenance is recommended as the primary strategy to reduce downtime, improve machine productivity, and enhance the overall efficiency of the NPK granular compaction production process.
