Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze the implementation of prophetic intelligence in Islamic education as a strategy for building anti-corruption character in the Greater Solo area, by highlighting its contribution to the achievement of Islam and the SDGs.  Theoretical framework: The theoretical framework of this research is based on the concept of prophetic intelligence that combines rationality, spirituality, and morality as the basis of ethical awareness. Literature review: Literature review confirms that prophetic Islamic education plays an important role in instilling ethical and spiritual values as a measure to prevent corruption. Several studies have shown that the integration of prophetic values in the Islamic education curriculum can form a culture of honesty, social responsibility, and institutional transparency. Methods: This study uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to explore the meaning of teachers' experiences in implementing prophetic values in Islamic educational institutions in Solo Raya. Data was obtained through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies, then analyzed with Miles and Huberman's interactive model that included data reduction, presentation, and verification. Results: The results of the study show that the implementation of prophetic intelligence is effective in strengthening integrity, honesty, and accountability in the educational environment. Teachers act as an ethical bridge between spirituality and modern governance, internalizing prophetic values through example, moral habituation, and ethical reflection. Prophetic Islamic education has been proven to be able to suppress corrupt behavior and foster a culture of social responsibility. Implications: The integration of prophetic values in Islamic education has a direct impact on the establishment of educational institutions that are transparent, ethical, and just, as well as serving as a moral model for the wider community. Novelty: This study examines applying prophetic intelligence in Islamic education as an anti-corruption character strategy by integrating prophetic values into curricula, linking it to SDG 4 and SDG 16 an area still underexplored.

Abstract

The consumer price index (CPI) is an important variable in calculating inflation. CPI and inflation are two very closely related variables in the economic development of a country or region. Predictions of CPI and inflation are very important to see economic developments related to investment, development planning, or anything related to planning management which is usually used as a reference in making decisions. The purpose of this study is to predict the CPI of Malang City with a simple model without any statistical assumptions that are sometimes difficult to fulfill. Consumer price index (CPI) data used is secondary data obtained from the website of BPS Malang. CPI data used is from January 2005 to November 2021. This study uses four exponential smoothing models, namely single exponential smoothing (SES), double exponential smoothing (DES) from Holt's, triple exponential smoothing (TES), and single exponential smoothing- state space (ETS). The ETS model used is ETS(M, N, N). The ETS(M, N, N) model means a single exponential smoothing model with multiplicative error. The best model obtained from this research is ETS(M, N, N). The determination of the best model in this study is based on the minimum Akaike information criteria (AIC) and Bayesian information criteria (BIC) values.

Abstract

To meet human needs, the government builds power plants with adequate capacity and quantity. In the process of electricity generation does not always run well. This study aims to improve the efficiency of the operational process by minimizing the Heat rate value that occurs in the PLTGU unit using the Energy Value Steam Mapping (EVSM) and Failure Mode And Effects Analysis (FMEA) methods. The results of the study showed that the high heat rate in Gas Turbine 1.1 and Steam turbine was caused by fouling in the Compressor Gas Turbine, Corrosion or material damage to the HP Evaporator HRSG, and leakage in the Steam Turbine condenser. The overall heat rate in the block I generating unit before the repair was 1,432.63 kcal/kwh. Then after the proposed repair projection, it was only 830.63 kcal/kwh. This means that there is a decrease in the heat rate in the operational process of 602.01 kcal/kwh or a percentage of 42.02%.

Abstract

Cashew nuts are the fruit of the cashew plant, the most important of which is the cashew nut itself. Cashews are one of the most traded nut products. One of the MSMEs located in Singosari, Malang Regency is an MSME engaged in processed food products, namely cashew nuts. This MSME is called Dininas. This business was initiated by Mrs. Dini Mei Nastiti and has been established since 2018. Mrs. Dini's business produces around 10 – 50 kg per day with production in the form of cashew nuts. The problem faced by partners is the slicing process which still uses the conventional method, namely draining naturally by placing it in a container covering it with oil-absorbing paper, and then aerating it. Therefore the solution that is relevant in community service is the application of Inverter-based Spinner machines are more optimal, hygienic, and efficient to increase the amount of production. It is hoped that this community service with the application of Inverter-based Spinner machines can help Dinias SMEs in producing cashew nuts and meet demands from consumers. In addition, this machine is also expected to increase the productivity, quantity, hygiene, and quality of cashew nuts as well as increase profits for business managers.

Abstract

This research was conducted to obtain an initial design for a laboratory practical tool based on bifocal modeling assisted by an ESP32 microcontroller for kinetic gas theory. This study was conducted to obtain an initial design for a practical laboratory tool based on bifocal modeling assisted by the ESP32 microcontroller on the kinetic theory of gases. This study was conducted descriptively through a literature review of various book articles and materials. Interviews were conducted with students and physics teachers in high schools (9 students and two teachers in Malang, 15 students and three teachers in Bandung) in Indonesia. Interviews were conducted to obtain an overview of the application of physics learning and reveal other potential problems students and teachers face. The design of the bifocal modeling tool developed has been consulted with physics and ICT learning experts. The results are that it needs to be further developed and maintained until the manufacturing stage. Bifocal modeling based on the design developed in this study has the potential to facilitate students to conduct scientific experiments related to the kinetic theory of gases. Based on the equipment to be developed, it is expected that students will be able to observe macroscopic gas phenomena through actual experiments, monitor microscopic phenomena visualized through computer models, collect data in actual experiments and computer simulations, and compare data. Students' understanding of the concept of the kinetic theory of gases has the potential to be improved by conducting practical work using bifocal modeling-based tools.

Abstract

Increased pollution on Earth will cause environmental imbalance, which in turn will cause environmental damage. In addition, sustainable education is implemented to help address the problem by teaching students through direct experience. Therefore, a simple air expansion simulation is applied in sustainable physics learning as a simple demonstration of air velocity. With the implementation of sustainable physics education, it is hoped that students can understand air pressure and apply it in the environment to increase their interest in learning physics through environmental issues. Simple simulations are used to increase students' interest in learning physics. Based on the results obtained, the application of air expansion simulation (AES) as physics education increases students' interest and understanding, as shown by the results of responses that indicate strong agreement. Students can easily understand the material through simple air expansion simulations because during the learning process, students feel more interested. Students find it easier to understand because learning is done contextually, but learning is also done by involving students directly. Therefore, students find it easier to understand and master the material based on direct experience.

Abstract

Environmental literacy is a key 21st-century competency that should be fostered through contextual and sustainability-oriented physics education. However, studies integrating Problem-Based Learning (PBL) and STEM-ESD into web-based learning platforms, while also mapping students’ initial environmental literacy through Rasch analysis on temperature and heat topics in Indonesia, remain limited. This study aimed to: (1) identify students’ initial environmental literacy profiles as a basis for needs analysis, and (2) develop and evaluate the initial readability of the Interactive Physics Modular (IPM). This research adopted a research and development approach using the ADDIE model and involved 78 students who had studied temperature and heat without using IPM. Data were collected through an environmental literacy essay test covering four indicators: cognitive skills, environmentally responsible behaviors, ecological knowledge, and environmental care affect. The data were analyzed descriptively and using the Rasch model. The results showed that environmental care affect achieved the highest mean score (3.85; 77%), followed by cognitive skills (3.47; 69.4%), environmentally responsible behaviors (2.60; 52%), and ecological knowledge (2.19; 43.8%). Rasch person–item analysis indicated that items requiring the integration of temperature and heat concepts with complex environmental contexts and the formulation of realistic solutions were the most difficult. Readability results showed that IPM was clear, engaging, and effective in linking physics concepts with environmental issues. This study contributes by proposing a contextual essay-based framework for assessing environmental literacy through Rasch analysis and by offering a model for integrating PBL and STEM-ESD into a website-based physics learning platform.
