Abstract

Ikan selincah (Belontia hasselti) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan yang memiliki potensi dikembangkan menjadi komoditas budidaya. Tantangan dalam kegiatan budidaya ikan selincah adalah masih rendahnya kelangsungan hidup ikan ketika dipelihara pada lingkungan budidaya. Pemberian bakteri kandidat probiotik asal rawa merupakan salah satu alternatif untuk meningkatkan kelangsungan hidup dan performa kesehatan ikan selincah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu melihat pengaruh penambahan kandidat probiotik bakteri asal rawa yang ditambahkan pada pakan dalam meningkatkan kelangsungan hidup dan performa kesehatan ikan selincah. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari P0 (kontrol), P1 (Bacillus sp. (106 CFU.ml-1) 7,5 ml.kg-1 pakan dan Streptomyces sp. (106 CFU.ml-1) 2,5 ml.kg-1 pakan), P2 (Bacillus sp. (106 CFU.ml-1) 2,5 ml.kg-1 pakan dan Streptomyces sp. (106 CFU.ml-1) 7,5 ml.kg-1 pakan), P3 (Bacillus sp. (106 CFU.ml-1) 5 ml.kg-1 pakan dan Streptomyces sp. (106 CFU.ml-1) 5 ml.kg-1 pakan). Parameter yang diukur adalah kelangsungan hidup, total eritrosit dan hematokrit yang diuji dengan menggunakan analisis ragam (ANSIRA) pada kepercayaan 95%. Kualitas air yang diperoleh dibahas secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan P3 menghasilkan nilai eritrosit tertinggi 8,62 ± 0,728 (106 sel mm-3), kadar hematokrit 38,73 ± 1,241 % , dan kelangsungan hidup 100%. The current problem that occurs related to catfish yields lies in the location and application of different cultivation systems. This study aimed to determine the differences in the best farmed production results of catfish in three different villages. The method carried out is to conduct a interviews, field observations, and literature reviews. Interviews were conducted directly to fish farmers in Burai Village, Ulak Segelung Village, and Tanjung Pering as resource persons as well as conducting field observations with several literature studies on the source of information on the topic of discussion. The results showed that the location and application of different cultivation systems will affect the production of catfish. Cultivation location in Tanjung Pering Village with the use of water sources derived from rivers given alum and soda ash produce high production yields. While the best feeding frequency is applied in Burai Village by giving feed once a day at night using commercial pellets and additional feed in the form of fish - small fish is the best feeding method that produces high production results, followed up so that it can be applied to catfish farmers so that it can produce high production results. So it can be concluded that the best method of application. treatment and water is the villages of Tanjung Pering while the best method of applying feed is Burai Village. This activity needs to be followed up to get better implementation.

Abstract

Kissing gourami culture has begun to be developed to reduce the dependence on natural catches. Many factors that are influence fish culture. One of those is the availability of sufficient quantity and quality feed. Protein is an important nutrient that supports fish growth and affects feed prices. The protein requirement for each fish needs to be known as a basis for formulating feed. This research aims to determine the optimum feed protein level for kissing gourami. This study used a completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications. The treatment given is different levels of feed protein, consisting of 25% (P0), 30% (P1), 35% (P2), 40% (P3), and 45% (P4). The result showed that feed protein level 35% (P2) gave the best result for kissing gourami which resulted a absolute weight growth of 0.45 g, absolute length growth of 0.24 cm, protein efficiency ratio of 0.49, and feed efficiency of 17.11%.

Abstract

Ikan tambakan (Helostoma temmincki) adalahiikan asli Indonesia terdapat di beberapa sungai di Sumatera dan Kalimantan. Benihiikan tambakan yang berasal dari perairan umum saat ini sudah mulai sulit didapatkan karena penangkapan ikan tambakan ini dilakukan secara berlebihan untuk diambil telurnya. Budidaya ikan tambakan belum banyak dilakukan untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemijahan ikan tambakan secara semi alami terhadap fekunditas, derajat pembuahan dan derajat penetasan yang dihasilkan. Tahapan yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu tahapan seleksi indukan, penyuntikan hormon, pemijahan dan penetasan telur. Induk jantan yang digunakan berukuran 237,5 g, sedangkan ukuran induk betina yang digunakan yaitu 250 g, perbandingan induk jantan:betina yaitu 2:1, dosis hormon ovaprim® yang digunakan yaitu 0,2 mL kg-1 dari bobot induk betina, dan 0,4 mL kg-1 dari bobot induk jantan. Parameter yang diamati yaitu fekunditas, derajat pembuahan, derajat penetasan, dan kualitas air. Data fekunditas, derajat pembuahan, derajat penetasan, dan kualitas air yang diperoleh diolah dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan gambar yang kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif. Data hasil yang diperoleh yaitu fekunditas 95.329 butir, derajat pembuahan sebesar 93,5% dan derajat penetasan sebesar 95,6%. Kualitas air pada kolam induk yaitu suhu sebesar 27,5 oC dan pH sebesar 7,16, sedangkan kualitas air pada akuarium pemeliharaan yaitu suhu sebesar 27,6 oC dan pH 8,49. Dari hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemijahan ikan tambakan secara semi alami menunjukkan hasil yang tinggi.

Abstract

Feed is divided into two, namely natural feed and artificial feed. Natural feed is feed given to the larval stage and is the main source of protein for larvae. Silk worms (Tubifex sp.) is one of the natural fish food that contains good nutrition for fish growth. The purpose of this activity is to know the technology of cultivating silk worms (Tubifex sp.) at the Center for Freshwater Aquaculture, Sukabumi, West Java Province. The method used in this activity is field observation and collection of primary and secondary data. The stages of implementing the activities include preparation of containers, manufacture of culture media, stocking of silk worms and maintenance. Parameters observed were silkworm morphology, individual weight, absolute weight growth and specific growth rate and water quality presented in tabular form and processed descriptively. Based on worm rearing data, the specific growth rate was 17.73% day-1 and the weight growth was 249.12 g.

Abstract

Unit Pembenihan Rakyat (UPR) Mitra Mina Sejahtera berlokasi di Desa Tanjung Pering terdapat di Kecamatan Indralaya Utara, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir, memiliki usaha budidaya ikan khususnya budidaya ikan hias. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh pembudidaya ikan hias di UPR ini adalah masih terbatasnya penguasaan teknologi budidaya sehingga kualitas dan kuantitas produksi ikan hias masih belum maksimal. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan pemahaman pembudidaya tentang manajemen budidaya ikan hias di Desa Tanjung Pering, Kecamatan Indralaya Utara, Ogan Ilir. Kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan pada bulan Juni - Oktober 2022. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan melakukan sosialisasi melalui pelatihan manajemen budidaya ikan hias dan dilanjutkan dengan kegiatan pendampingan (demplot). Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan PKM yang telah dilakukan yaitu meningkatnya pengetahuan masyarakat yang diperlihatkan dari hasil kuesioner yang diperoleh. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kegiatan PKM di UPR Mitra Mina Sejahtera dikatakan berhasil.The Mitra Mina Sejahtera People's Hatchery Unit (PHU) is located in Tanjung Pering Village, in Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, and has a fish farming business, especially ornamental fish farming. The problem experienced by ornamental fish cultivators at PHU is the limited mastery of cultivation technology, so the quality and quantity of ornamental fish production are still not optimal. This community service activity aims to increase farmers' understanding of the management of ornamental fish cultivation in Tanjung Pering Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir. Service acti­vities are carried out from June to October 2022. The method used is socialization through ornamental fish cultivation management training and mentoring activities. The results obtained from the PKM activities that have been carried out are increasing public knowledge, as shown from the questionnaires obtained. So it can be concluded that community service activities at UPR Mitra Mina Sejahtera are successful.

Abstract

Pondok pesantren At-Tauhid merupakan salah satu pondok pesantren yang berada di Ogan Ilir, Sumatera Selatan. Pondok pesantren At-Tauhid memiliki beberapa unit usaha yang dirintis sebagai wujud bentuk dukungan pada kemandirian operasional pesantren khususnya ketahanan pangan. Salah satu unit usaha yang sudah yang dilakukan yaitu budidaya ikan. Permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra diantaranya kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra tentang budidaya ikan lele, kurangnya pengetahuan mitra tentang pembuatan pakan ikan mandiri, kurangnya pengetahuan mitra tentang cara pengolahan ikan lele beserta pengemasannya serta kurangnya pengetahuan mitra tentang manajemen usaha yang profesional. Solusi yang ditawarkan yaitu dengan memberikan penyuluhan serta melakukan pelatihan dan penampingan tetang budidaya ikan lele khsusunya dalam pembuatan pakan, pengolahan abon ikan lele serta tentang manajemen usaha. Tujuan kegiatan ini yaitu mitra mampu membuat pakan ikan mandiri dengan bahan alternatif, mitra mampu meningkatkan produksi dengan membuat produk olahan ikan lele berupa abon ikan, dan mitra dapat membuat analisis usaha, membuat pembukuan usaha serta mampu mengetahui terkait strategi dalam pemsaran produk. Metode yang dilakukan adalah partisipati aktif mitra dalam praktik transfer ilmu dan teknologi mulai dari perencanaan kegiatan melalui tahap penyuluhan, tahap pelatihan, dan tahap pendampingan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni-Oktober 2022 di Pondok pesantren At-Tauhid. Mitra yang menjadi sasaran adalah guru dan pegawai sebanyak 20 orang. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini yaitu mitra berpartisipasi aktif dalam membantu menyediakan fasilitas yang dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan, adanya peningkatan pengetahuan peserta mitra tentang budidaya ikan lele, pembuatan pakan mandiri, pembuatan abon ikan serta manajemen keuangan yang terlihat dari nilai kuisiner yang telah diisi.At-Tauhid Islamic boarding school is one of the Islamic boarding schools in Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. Pondok Pesantren At-Tauhid has several business units that were initiated as a form of support for the operational independence of the pesantren, especially food security. One of the business units that has been carried out is fish farming. The problems faced by partners include the partner's lack of knowledge and skills regarding catfish farming, the partner's lack of knowledge about making fish feed independently, the partner's lack of knowledge about how to process catfish and its packaging and the partner's lack of knowledge about professional business management. The solution offered is providing counselling and conducting training and mentoring regarding catfish farming, especially in making feed, processing shredded catfish and business management. The purpose of this activity is that partners can make fish feed independently with alternative ingredients, partners can increase production by making processed catfish products in the form of shredded fish, and partners can make business analysis, do business bookkeeping and be able to know about strategies in product marketing. The method used is the active participation of partners in transferring knowledge and technology, starting from activity planning through the counselling, training, and mentoring stages. This activity was carried out from June-October 2022 at the At-Tauhid Islamic Boarding School. The target partners are teachers and employees, as many as 20 people. The results obtained from this activity were that partners actively participated in helping to provide the facilities needed in the activity, and there was an increase in the knowledge of partner participants about catfish farming, self-sufficient feed making, shredded fish production and financial management, which can be seen from the value of the completed questionnaire.

Abstract

Abstract. The feed is one of the components that support the growth and survival in fish culture. One of the alternative feed ingredients which could use as other feed ingredient was Indigofera zollingeriana leaves. The aims of this research was to determine the use of Indigofera zollingeriana leaves on the growth performance of Patin (Pangasius sp.). This research consisted of five treatments and three replications. Indigofera zollingeriana leaves were used in the diet amount of P0 (0%) (without Indigofera zollingeriana leaves addition ), P1 (10% Indigofera zollingeriana leaves addition), P2 (20% Indigofera zollingeriana leaves addition), P3 (30% Indigofera zollingeriana leaves addition), and P4 (40% Indigofera zollingeriana leaves addition). The result showed that the use of Indigofera zollingeriana leaves had a significant effect on the fish growth performance. The use of 20% zollingeriana Indigofera produced the best results of the absolute weight of 2.15 g, 1.00% daily growth rate and feed efficiency of 44.60%.Keywords: Patin, feed ingredient, Indigofera zollingeriana leaveAbstrak. Pakan merupakan komponen yang menunjang pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup dalam budidaya ikan. Salah satu bahan baku alternatif yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pakan ikan yaitu daun Indigofera zollingeriana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan daun Indigofera zollingeriana terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan pada ikan patin. Penelitian ini terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan penggunaan daun Indigofera zollingeriana terdiri dari P0(0%) (tanpa penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana), P1 (penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana 10%), P2 (penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana 20%), P3 (penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana 30%), dan P4 (penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana 40%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana menunjukkan kinerja pertumbuhan pada ikan patin. Penambahan Indigofera zollingeriana sebanyak 20% menghasilkan hasil terbaik yaitu pertumbuhan bobot mutlak sebesar 2,15 g, laju pertumbuhan harian 1,00% serta efisiensi pakan sebesar 44,60%.Kata Kunci: Bahan pakan, daun Indigofera zollingeriana, ikan patin

Abstract

Snakehead fish (Channa striata) is one of fish type that has the potential to be cultivated. The albumin levels in snakehead fish are the main attraction for consumers. Albumin which usually comes from human blood has a fairly expensive price. Therefore, an alternative is needed to produce albumin at a lower cost. One of the efforts that can be done is to increase the growth as well as the albumin content in snakehead fish through feeding rich in protein content. One source of high protein that is still not widely used by the community comes from fish waste where it is known that fish waste contains high protein and has the potential to be a source of fish feed raw materials. This study aims to determine the best dose of catfish offal flour in feed to increase albumin levels as well as growth in snakehead fish and help reduce pollution levels from fish waste. The experimental design carried out was a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications consisting of P1: 0%, P2:10%, P3:20%, and P4:30%. The results showed that P1 was the best result with albumin levels of 12.73 mg/mL, absolute length growth of 1.17 cm, absolute weight growth of 1.2 g, and survival of 79.17%. The maintenance water quality measured during the study was the temperature ranged from 26.5-27.4°C, pH ranged from 6.7-7.1, and dissolved oxygen ranged from 5.25-5.56 mg/L. Keywords: albumin, fish waste, snakehead fish

The result showed that the use of Indigofera zollingeriana leaves had a significant effect on the fish growth performance. The use of 20% zollingeriana Indigofera produced the best results of the absolute weight of 2.15 g, 1.00% daily growth rate and feed efficiency of 44.60%.Keywords: Patin, feed ingredient, Indigofera zollingeriana leaveAbstrak. Pakan merupakan komponen yang menunjang pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup dalam budidaya ikan. Salah satu bahan baku alternatif yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan pakan ikan yaitu daun Indigofera zollingeriana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan daun Indigofera zollingeriana terhadap kinerja pertumbuhan pada ikan patin. Penelitian ini terdiri dari lima perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Perlakuan penggunaan daun Indigofera zollingeriana terdiri dari P0(0%) (tanpa penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana), P1 (penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana 10%), P2 (penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana 20%), P3 (penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana 30%), dan P4 (penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana 40%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan daun Indigofera zollingeriana menunjukkan kinerja pertumbuhan pada ikan patin. Penambahan Indigofera zollingeriana sebanyak 20% menghasilkan hasil terbaik yaitu pertumbuhan bobot mutlak sebesar 2,15 g, laju pertumbuhan harian 1,00% serta efisiensi pakan sebesar 44,60%.Kata Kunci: Bahan pakan, daun Indigofera zollingeriana, ikan patin
