Abstract

In the manufacturing sector, steel plate defects are a severe issue that may result in significant losses for a company's finances and image. The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well three machine learning algorithms detect steel plate flaws. The accuracy, area under the ROC curve (ROC-AUC), and Log-Loss of the method were used to assess its performance using a dataset that was downloaded from www.kaggle.com. Based on the findings, the Random-Forest algorithm performed best overall, having the lowest Log-Loss of 0.9327, an accuracy of 0.6722, and an AUC value of 0.9222. Research using other algorithms is still very open to be carried out to get better results. Research utilizing other algorithms is still very much open to be conducted in order to get better outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract Improving the reliability of the power grid system and operational efficiency is essential to facing future energy challenges. This study aims to provide added value to the management of the power grid, especially solar photovoltaic power plants (PLTS), by developing a more accurate predictive model for estimating energy output. By utilizing two real-time data sets, namely weather data and PLTS data, as well as machine learning methods, this study compares the performance of the XGBoost and Linear Regression (LR) models. We built the model to overcome high variability in energy output and maintain the stability of the power grid. The results show that XGBoost has a better performance with an MAE value of 38.08 compared to linear regression, which has an MAE of 80.23, indicating the superiority of XGBoost in predicting PLTS energy output. This study also opens up opportunities for further research with a focus on the application of other models such as random forests and neural networks, as well as improving data quality and parameter optimization to further improve prediction reliability and operational efficiency. The best-performing XGBoost model enables more efficient energy utilization and enhances the operational efficiency of PV solar power plants.

Abstract

Dalam dekade terakhir ini pemanfaatan mesin learning, khususnya Convolution Neural Network (CNN) telah banyak membantu dunia kesehatan. Dengan melakukan proses pelatihan dari sejumlah besar dataset image, CNN mampu mengklasifikasikan image tak berlabel dengan cepat dan akurasi lebih tinggi dibandingkan metode mesin learning lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengoptimasi dari tiga arsitektur CNN (ResNet-152, InceptionResNet-V2, dan MobileNet-V2) untuk mengklasifikasi penyakit covid-19, dengan melakukan training 4000 dataset image Chest x-ray. Hasil akurasi testing dari ResNet-152 yaitu 99%, lebih tinggi dibangingkan InceptionResNet-V2 hasil 98%, dan MobileNet-V2 hasil 93%. dengan presisi tiap kelas adalahCovid (99%), Lung_Opacity (97%), Normal (99%), Viral_Pneumonia (99%)
