Abstract

This study aims to photograph or measure the culture of digital literacy in early adolescents, around 11-14 years or junior high school level. This research was conducted on students of SMP Pahlawan Toha Bandung, totaling 40 students. The research was conducted by surveying the understanding and ability to use digital devices, as well as students' interest in reading literature through the devices they have. The research method used is quantitative descriptive, the research subjects are students of SMP Pahlawan Toha Bandung, and the object of research is survey data on the level of digital literacy culture among students. The instrument used is in the form of a questionnaire compiled through the media Google form which is distributed to students, then proceed with coding data, tabulating, scoring, and data analysis to conclude. The study results show a cultural portrait of early adolescent digital literacy at SMP Pahlawan Toha Bandung, which is known to be going well and has become entrenched, shown by 95% of students being able to use technology and information media tools properly, and ethically. Even so, having digital literacy competence will not always automatically increase interest in reading or writing literacy, let alone interest in literary literacy. Efforts are needed to ensure that the better students use digital media as a tool to help, make it easier to access literacy materials, and obtain general and specific information related to literary works, the better will be the achievement of student life skills competencies in the 21st century.

Abstract

Writing exposition text is still considered difficult by students, especially in today's online learning which is not face to face. The use of appropriate methods and media can be a solution in the online learning process by utilizing available applications. This study aims to determine student learning outcomes in online learning to write exposition text with discovery learning method assisted by Quizizz media and what difficulties students experience in writing exposition text; to find out students' responses to online learning to write exposition text using discovery learning method assisted by Quizizz media. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques in the form of tests and questionnaires. The success of learning is seen from the results of the knowledge and skills test which shows the average value of both of them is 77.2 and has met the achievement indicators. The difficulty of the knowledge test questions with a score of 5 regarding the command shows the structure of the text of the exposition of the thesis section, while the difficulty of the skill questions with a score of 70 is in the rules of the reference word language. The results of a very good response during the learning process showed a percentage of 83%. Judging from student learning outcomes and student response results, the methods and media used can motivate students in online learning to write exposition text.

Abstract

This research is the result of a descriptive study that examines a short story entitled "Toa" by Herumawan P.A through Pierce's semitoic approach. In general, this study aims to determine the system of signs and implicit meanings that represent the correlation of meaning and moral life in the short story. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative using Pierce's semiotic theory which refers to icons, indexes, and symbols. The data source in this research is the short story text Toa by Putu Herumawan P.A. The data accumulation system used is a literature study  with analysys content, that is, to directly make an analysis. The data analysis system using analyzing system, the consists of three series of activity that occur continuously from data reduction and core conclusions.

Abstract

Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan struktur pada sajak “Doa Khong Guan” karya Joko Pinurbo. Dalam tulisan ini ada dua pertanyaan penelitian, yakni: 1) bagaimana struktur yang membangun keseluruhan sajak “Doa Khong Guan”? dan 2) apa makna yang dibangun dalam sajak tersebut?. Kedua pertanyaan tersebut dibahas dengan teori strukturalisme dengan mengkaji dan menganalisis struktur puisi dari struktur fisik dan struktur batinnya. Setelah itu, sajak dapat dimaknai berdasarkan analisis struktur tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitik dengan berdasarkan pada objek dan data berupa sajak yang ditulis oleh Joko Pinurbo dalam kumpulan Perjamuan Khong Guan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sajak “Doa Khong Guan” memiliki struktur fisik dan struktur batin yang kuat dan kokoh baik dari bentuk, citraan, diksi, tema, bunyi, dan majas. Selain itu, unsur pembangun pada struktur batin juga menunjukkan bahwa sajak ini memiliki struktur yang saling melengkapi. Hasil dari analisis struktur ini menunjukkan makna sajak secara komprehensif, yakni tentang harapan, doa, dan keinginan seorang ibu kepada anaknya.Kata Kunci: Struktur sajak, sajak, teori strukturalisme, Doa Khong Guan

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan media pembelajaran yang berupa film pendek film pendek untuk model Discovery Learning dalam materi menulis teks cerita fantasi siswa kelas VII SMPN 2 Lembang penelitianiini dilaksanakan selama dua kali pertemuan secara langsung dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 25 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Deskriptif Kualitatif. Data yang diambil dari penelitian ini berupa data yang diperoleh dari instrumen penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa lembar observasi pada perserta didik selama aktivitas proses kegiatan pembelajaran berlangsung dengan penerapan media film pendek untuk model Discovery Laerning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerita fantasi. Data yang telah diperoleh lalu dianalisis dengan menggunakan motode Deskriptif Kualitatif. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa dengan diterapkanya media film pendek untuk model Discovery Learning dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerita fantasi sangat efektif untuk pembelajaran menulis serta membuat peserta didik lebih aktif, dapat betpartisipasi dan mampu berdiskusi bersama teman kelompoknya dalam proses pembelajaran sehingga peserta didik mampu menyajikan teks cerita fantasi dengan memperhatikan struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks cerita fantasi pada lembar LKPD baik secara kelompok maupun individu dengan lebih teratur, terarah dan juga mudah dimengerti. Media pembelajaran dengan menggunakan media film pendek dapat membuat guru lebih kreatif dan inovatif, sehingga  suasana dalam proses  pembelajaran akan lebih menyenangkan.

Abstract

The brain is a hard instrument that is attached to a person. Therefore, the source of human intelligence comes from the working system of the brain. Brain performance is suitable for use in brain-friendly learning activities with a high artistic level. For this reason, the purpose of this study was to determine student responses to the study of poetry text learning using a neuroscience approach through the Think Talk Write method in the digitalization era. This research uses descriptive type in the form of case study research. In analyzing sources or data, applying observation techniques that are guided by student responses during learning activities, as well as student results by the rules, namely choosing the right diction, using figurative language, distinctive image power, containing meaning, alignment of title and content. The results of the study prove that students become more active and can understand theoretically and empirically in learning to write texts first supported by LKPD which can stimulate students in arguing.

Abstract

The idea of this research was initiated by the fact that there are still many students who have difficulty determining ideas and ideas in producing a review text by determining the structure and language of the review text. The Project-Based Learning learning model is used as an alternative solution to the learner-centred learning model, namely a learning model that uses projects or activities as a learning tool to achieve attitudes, knowledge and skills competencies. Therefore, this research was conducted to determine the learning process and the impact of the student's ability to write review texts. The purpose of the research is to determine the ability to write a review text of students using the Project-Based Learning learning model assisted by Wattpad. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative which only has one cycle of the treatment process, data collection and data processing. The results showed that 19 students got a high score, 6 students got an adequate score, and 1 student got a low score. The results of the study can be concluded that using the Project-Based Learning model can positively affect the learning process and improve students' skills in writing review texts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Tujuannya untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan hasil penggunaan media karikatur dalam pembelajaran menulis cerpen siswa kelas XI SMA yang akan membantu siswa untuk mengatasi kesulitan menulis cerpen, mengemukakan ide yang kreatif dan meningkatkan kualitas menulis cerpen. Subjek pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI SMA. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini diantaranya; 1) lembar validasi; 2) lembar observasi; 3) angket; dan 4) tes, untuk mengetahui respons siswa, tes lembar kerja untuk hasil soal pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa daripada penelitian ini. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan skala Guttman. Keberhasilan pembelajaran menulis cerpen dapat dilihat dari tes pengetahuan dan keterampilan. Nilai rata-rata pada tes keterampilan yaitu 86,6%. Pada tes pengetahuan, kesulitan yang dialami siswa terdapat pada soal nomor 2, 4, dan 8, mengenai sudut pandang, unsur intrinsik bagian alur, dan mengenai isi tersirat pada cerpen. Adapun hasil respons siswa yang sangat baik dari siswa dengan skor 93,3%. Berdasarkan hasil menulis siswa, dan hasil respons siswa, penggunaan media karikatur dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran menulis teks cerpen.

Abstract

The number of students who have difficulty in writing debate texts is the background for carrying out this research. The researcher uses the problem based learning method with the help of sock puppet media as a solution to overcome this problem. The purpose of this study is to know the scenario, implementation, teacher and student responses to learning to write debate texts in class X students using the problem based learning method assisted by sock puppet media and find out what difficulties are experienced by class X students in completing text writing tasks. debate. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research method. Data collection techniques using observation instruments, lesson plans (Learning Implementation Plan), teacher and student response questionnaires and student ability tests. As a result, the implementation of teaching and learning activities carried out by the teacher was carried out according to the planned scenario. It can be seen from the results of the teacher activity observation sheet that gets a percentage of 47% and students as much as 60%. Then the responses of teachers and students get a percentage of agreeing 75% on the teacher's questionnaire and 49% on the student's questionnaire. The difficulties experienced by students when writing debate texts are found in the use of aspects of conclusions and effective sentences that are still not mastered by students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi adanya masalah siswa dalam menulis teks pidato persuasif. Faktor penyebab masalah tersebut siswa gagal memahami struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks pidato persuasif sebagai dampak dari pemilihan model pembelajaran yang belum inovatif. Dalam penelitian ini menguraikan hasil pembelajaran menulis teks pidato persuasif menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning dengan media mind mapping. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterlaksanaan hasil belajar teks pidato persuasif menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning yang dilengkapi dengan mind mapping pada subjek sebanyak 34 siswa. Metode yang digunakan yakni deskriptif kualitatif serta pengumpulan data berdasarkan observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran teks bahasa persuasif menggunakan model discovery learning dengan mind mapping berjalan baik di kelas IX G SMPN 1 Margaasih sesuai hasil observasi siswa sebesar 93,7%. Hasil belajar siswa secara keseluruhan memperoleh skor total 85% dengan rincian struktur sebanyak 88%, kaidah kebahasaan 83%, kreativitas 79%, dan presentasi 92%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemilihan model dan media bisa menjadi solusi dari pembelajaran yang belum inovatif.
