Abstract

Learning From Home (LFH) is the best solution during the COVID-19 pandemic. LFH is a challenge for teachers, especially in preparing materials, determining methods, and making appropriate learning media. For children with special needs, LFR is a new experience that is not easy to implement. The aims of this community service were: 1) to overcome problems and help the community, especially children with special needs who get obstacles in learning activities at home; 2) create interesting learning media for studying at home; and 3) evaluation. This service was carried out in May 2021 for three days with 3 children with special needs. The media created are science and mathematics media made from used goods such as making puzzles and toy phones. The results of this service were the help of online learning at home during COVID-19 pandemic for children with special needs, the existence of interesting learning media so that learning at home becomes fun, and the increased knowledge and motivation of learning for children with special needs after using learning media.

Abstract

With the rapid development of technology, learning complex analysis has become increasingly important in keeping up with technological advancements, yet it is often overlooked. Therefore, interactive learning media such as videos integrated with artificial intelligence are needed to visualize theoretical material. This research aims to (1) describe the design of instructional videos, (2) explain the quality and validity of the development of instructional videos by experts and product trials, and (3) evaluate the effectiveness of instructional videos. The analysis used is qualitative descriptive analysis. This research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model, involving five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Instructional videos on complex analysis are deemed valid by media experts, with the product receiving favorable ratings in terms of appearance (85%), ease of use (65%), and material presentation (70%). Based on expert assessments of the content, the product is also rated well in terms of suitability (55%) and material coherence (85%). Meanwhile, assessments by language experts indicate high language appropriateness (90%), along with favorable ratings in audio pronunciation accuracy (70%) and language selection (80%). From the validation results and expert assessments, as well as trials with small and large groups, it can be concluded that the development of AI-based videos for complex analysis courses is suitable for use.

Abstract

Tadris Mathematics students have difficulty understanding complex analysis courses when studying independently because many students still lack confidence in doing assignments and only rely on help from others. Learning difficulties greatly affect learning independence. This study aims to determine the level of difficulty in learning complex analysis based on students' learning independence. The research method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data collection technique used was purposive sampling by distributing questionnaires in the form of google forms given to 20 students of the Tadris Mathematics study program at UIN K.H Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan. Then the researcher conducted interviews with three students as representatives of classes A, B, C. The results of the study show that in general, Tadris Mathematics students have learning difficulties based on independence and difficulty understanding language in complex analysis courses. This learning independence can create students' ability to control and organize themselves in carrying out learning activities.

Abstract

Dewasa ini, akhlak siswa di Indonesia sangat memprihatinkan dan cenderung mengalami kemerosotan yang cukup drastis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potret pendidikan akidah akhlak siswa, yang difokuskan pada siswa madrasah. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi. Objek penelitian yang digunakan adalah siswa Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Salafiyah (MIS) Gombong, Kecamatan Pecalungan, Kabupaten Batang, Jawa Tengah. Wawancara dilakukan dengan beberapa guru dan siswa untuk mendapatkan data primer langsung dari sumber utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepribadian siswa di MIS Gombong berkaitan pendidikan akhlak termasuk dalam kategori baik. Namun demikian, masih perlu berbagai bimbingan agar pendidikan akhlak mampu menjadi bekal siswa di kemudian hari, seperti masih ada siswa yang kurang memperhatikan adab serta sopan santun.

Abstract

This community engagement aimed to enhance the writing skills of Group B children at RA Miftahul Huda Tlogomojo, Pati. The activity involved all students of Group B at RA Miftahul Huda Tlogomojo, Pati. The assistance was conducted in three stages: planning, implementation, and monitoring. The storytelling method was utilized to create an engaging and interactive learning environment. The results showed a significant improvement in the writing skills of the students, as they exhibited enthusiasm and active participation during the sessions. The method fostered creativity and imagination, allowing the children to express their ideas effectively. The support from teachers and staff played a vital role in the success of the program. Abstract

This article discusses mentoring activities in order to increase public knowledge about the integration of cultural values and mathematical concepts. The activity was attended by 30 participants from various groups in Pekalongan City in January 2023. The activity method includes planning, implementing, and monitoring. The results of the activity show that there are various mathematical concepts in Pekalongan batik motifs, namely the concept of symmetry in the Parang Rusak motif; repeating patterns in the Kawung motif, geometry in the Tantrum motif design; proportions in the Slope motif, measurements and calculations in the Sido Mukti motif. This activity is expected to increase appreciation of local culture and integrate ethnomathematics in learning and everyday life. This activity contributes to the preservation of Pekalongan's cultural heritage and enriches mathematics learning with relevant cultural values.

Abstract

This article discusses the urgency of crossword puzzle-based IPAS learning media that is effective in increasing student participation in the learning process in grade V elementary school. This method allows discussion in large and small groups, learners can participate in learning activities. Creating fun learning and making it easier for students to achieve learning goals both in cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects. . This article uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to explore various studies related to the use of crossword puzzle-based IPAS learning media. Currently, there are many learning models introduced by each teacher in school. The development of education in Indonesia still does not educate students' creativity because schools only measure students' cognitive levels so that the level of creativity of students in Indonesia is low. Learning media using crossword puzzles is proposed as a solution to increase student creativity, especially in elementary school students. So this research has the aim of analyzing the benefits of crossword puzzles as a means of increasing student creativity. This analysis was carried out by collecting various sources of scientific literature related to the research variables. The results of the literature review research show that learning media using crossword puzzles can increase the creativity of elementary school students.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the dynamics of oil and gas exports in Indonesia during the period from 2012 to 2022 using the GARCH approach for forecasting volatility. The data utilized in this study encompass the monthly published volumes of Indonesia's oil and gas exports, sourced from the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency's website. The analysis involves a substantial amount of data, comprising 132 monthly time series spanning a significant timeframe. The findings indicate that the most suitable model for predicting oil and gas volumes is the GARCH (1,1) model. The GARCH approach is employed to model the volatility within the data of oil and gas exports. The results reveal the utilization of information criteria, including Akaike (14.73), Bayes (14.86), Shibata (14.73), and Hannan-Quinn (14.79). Moreover, the forecast analysis for the next ten periods depicts a consistent upward trend. Generally, these forecast results suggest that while the mean values of the data remain relatively stable, the volatility levels are anticipated to increase over the forthcoming periods. The implications of this research are crucial within the context of economic and international trade, as the volatility in oil and gas exports can significantly impact national economic policies and corporate decisions.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools still faces several challenges, including low student motivation and critical thinking skills. One innovative solution is the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of PBL in improving elementary students’ conceptual understanding and critical thinking in mathematics. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles involving fifth-grade students at [School Name] Elementary School. Data were collected through observations, tests, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the implementation of the PBL model increased student engagement, problem-solving ability, and the average score of conceptual understanding in mathematics. Therefore, PBL is proven to be effective in fostering meaningful learning and promoting higher-order thinking skills. It is recommended that elementary mathematics teachers integrate PBL as a student-centered learning approach.

Abstract

Pembelajaran geometri di sekolah dasar menghadapi tantangan mengkonkretkan konsep abstrak spasial. Siswa kelas 3 SD Islam Nusantara mengalami kesulitan memahami orientasi ruang, bentuk geometri, dan visualisasi spasial karena keterbatasan pengalaman konkret. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi pengalaman fenomenologis siswa dalam memahami konsep spasial melalui permainan tradisional engklek sebagai medium pembelajaran geometri yang otentik. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi dengan 12 siswa kelas 3 SD Islam Nusantara Kota Pekalongan yang dipilih purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi selama 8 minggu dengan frekuensi 3 kali pertemuan per minggu. Aspek observasi difokuskan pada pola gerakan tubuh, interaksi dengan bentuk geometri petak engklek, strategi spasial lompatan, kolaborasi matematika, ekspresi pemahaman konsep, dan transfer pengetahuan geometri. Aspek wawancara meliputi persepsi bentuk geometri, pengalaman embodied orientasi ruang, strategi kognitif visualisasi spasial, makna personal pembelajaran geometri, refleksi perubahan pemahaman, dan kemampuan mengaitkan konsep dengan lingkungan sekitar. Analisis data menggunakan model Colaizzi dengan triangulasi melalui member checking dan peer debriefing. Hasil menunjukkan permainan engklek memfasilitasi pemahaman konsep spasial melalui tiga dimensi: orientasi spasial embodied melalui gerakan tubuh terstruktur, pemahaman geometri kontekstual melalui interaksi pola petak beragam, dan pengembangan visualisasi ruang kolaboratif melalui strategi lompatan dan diskusi kelompok. Siswa mengalami transformasi dari pemahaman abstrak menjadi embodied cognition bermakna dengan peningkatan akurasi identifikasi bentuk geometri 89%. Interaksi sosial memperkuat konstruksi pengetahuan spasial melalui collaborative learning. Simpulan mengungkapkan permainan engklek efektif sebagai medium pembelajaran geometri otentik, meningkatkan motivasi belajar, dan mengembangkan pemahaman spasial holistik dengan transfer pembelajaran ke kehidupan sehari-hari.
