Abstract

Management forest area in concurrently through community forestry programs is an alternative to social forestry programs that involve communities to reduce problems with forest resource pressures. Gapoktan Beringin Jaya is one of the community forest groups bring of forest management and utilization activities by empowering local communities that have an impact on sustainable livelihoods. Therefore to find out the impact is carried out with the sustainable livelihoods framework to evaluate the impact and find out sustainable livelihood strategies. The results of this study are changes in community forestry that occur significantly through the sustainable livelihoods framework for livelihood assets, which are natural capital including owned land, timber species and non-timber forest product types. Human capital includes the type of training and the number of children going to school. Financial capital includes sources of income and loans. Social capital includes organizations, social networks, levels of trust and mutual assistance, and physical capital includes housing conditions, the number of motor vehicles and the number of electronic equipment.

Abstract

Sekampung Hulu Watershed (DAS) is a catchment area for the Batutegi Dam. Changes in land use due to increasement of human need for land can affect the hydrological conditions of Sekampung Hulu Watershed. This research analyzed land use change to inflow characteristic of Batutegi Dam using descriptive analysis method by analyzing rainfall data, land use change data, inflow data and surface coefficient data. The results showed that there had been decreasing of forest area and the increasing of agriculture land, dry land, and shrubland. It affects the increasing of surface coefficient and decreasing of total inflow. The decrease in total inflow of batutegi dam in 2005 was 7.229,92 m3 / sec and in 2015 was 6.846,82 m3 / sec. This is due to the value of surface runoff coefficient in the Sekampung Hulu Watershed which increased in 2005 and 2015 by 0,23 to 0,34. The amount of surface coefficient value in 2005 and 2015 shows that the Sekampung Hulu Basin has been degraded, therefore it is necessary to restore the condition of the forest through reforestation and greening efforts to increase the water catchment area.Keywords: Sekampung Hulu Watershed; Inflow; Land use change.Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Sekampung Hulu merupakan daerah tangkapan air (catchment area) bagi Bendungan Batutegi. Perubahan penggunaan lahan akibat meningkatnya kebutuhan manusia terhadap lahan dapat berpengaruh terhadap kondisi hidrologi DAS Sekampung Hulu. Penelitian ini menganalisis perubahan penggunaan lahan terhadap karakteristik aliran masuk (inflow) Bendungan Batutegi digunakan metode analisis deskriptif dengan cara manganalisis data curah hujan, data perubahan penggunaan lahan, data inflow dan data koefisien aliran permukaan. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkansudah terjadi penurunan luas hutan dan peningkatan luas pertanian lahan kering, pemukiman, dan semak belukar. Hal tersebut berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan koefisien aliran permukaan dan penurunan total inflow. Penurunan total inflow bendungan batutegi tahun 2005 sebesar 7.229,92 m3/detik dan pada tahun 2015 sebesar 6.846,82 m3/detik. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh nilai koefisien aliran permukaan di DAS Sekampung Hulu yang mengalami peningkatan pada tahun 2005 dan 2015 sebesar 0,23 menjadi 0,34. Besarnya  nilai koefisien aliran permukaan tahun 2005 dan 2015 menunjukkan DAS Sekampung Hulu telah mengalami degradasi, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan pemulihan kondisi hutan melalui upaya reboisasi maupun penghijauan untuk menambah daerah resapan air.Kata kunci: DAS Sekampung Hulu; Inflow; Perubahan penggunaan Lahan

Abstract

Data and information regarding the potential of forest stands is very important in the preparation of Long-Term Forest Management Plan at Forest Management Unit. The purpose of the study was to analyze the potential of stands in the Protected Forest Management Unit Batu Serampok. Data and information were collected using a stratified systematic sampling with random start inventory method, then vegetation was analyzed to obtain an index of importance. The results showed a diversity of potential stands. The species that predominate in the seedling phase are clove (Syzygium aromaticum), because the commodity is easily grown and liked by the community. The species that has the highest importance in the sapling phase is bayur (Pterospermum sp.), This is because the species is included in the semi-intolerant classification and its distribution is quite easy. In the pole phase, the dominant species are bayur and mango (Mangifera indica). The dominance of bayur has decreased in the pole phase due to changes in environmental conditions, adaptability and the presence of other plants developed by the community. Mango also have a fairly dominant number, as well as other types of Multi Purpose Tree Species (MPTS) plants. Then at the tree level, the dominant species include bayur, jengkol (Archidendron pauciflorum), teak (Tectona grandis), gondang (Ficus variegata), candlenut (Aleurites moluccana) and petai (Parkia speciosa). In this phase there has been a balance between species of wood forest and MPTS. This happened because of the intervention of the HKm group in determining the types of plants to be developed. The preparation of the RPHJP document in Forest Management Unit should pay attention to the types of plants that are dominant and preferred by the community, especially in the planning part of forest land reforestation program.

Abstract

Community-based forest management program provides the access for communities to participate in managing state forests. One of them is conducted through agroforestry planting pattern in village forest. The purpose of this research is to know the performance of agroforestry management on land managed by Sumur Kumbang village community in Protected Forest Management Area of Rajabasa. The data collection was got through by interview and observation; the data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The results show the performance of agroforestry management in protected forest management area of Rajabasa in moderate performance (productivity 84, sustainability 167, fairness benefit 88, and efficiency 168). Such performance is influenced by forest management system, ie controlled lands and individually controlled forest products; agroforestry business orientation is commercial; and forest structure is a complex agroforestry. Therefore, the Protected Forest Management Unit of Rajabasa and related stakeholders should develop community capacity and strengthen local institutions continuously so that their forests can be managed in a fair, beneficial, and sustainable way.Keyword : agroforestry; village forest; protected forest management unit; performance..Program pengelolaan hutan berbasis masyarakat memberikanakses bagi masyarakat untuk berpartisipasi mengelola hutan negara;salah satunya dilakukan melalui pola tanam agroforestri di hutan desa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui performa pengelolaan agroforestri pada lahan-lahan yang dikelola oleh masyarakat Desa Sumur Kumbang di wilayah Kesatuan Pengelolaan Hutan Lindung (KPHL) Rajabasa. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan obsevasi, data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan performa pengelolaan agroforestri di wilayah KPHL Rajabasa dalam performa sedang(produktivitas 84;keberlanjutan 167; keadilan manfaat 88; dan efisiensi 168). Performa tersebut sangat dipengaruhi oleh sistem pengelolaan hutannya, yaitu penguasaan lahan dan hasil hutan yang dikuasai secara individu, orientasi usaha agroforestri bersifat komersial, dan struktur hutan merupakan agroforestri kompleks. Oleh karena itu, KPHL Rajabasa serta stakeholder terkait harus mengembangkan kapasitas masyarakat dan menguatkan kelembagaan lokal secara terus menerus, sehingga hutannya dapat dikelola secara adil, bermanfaat, dan berkelanjutan.Kata kunci : agroforestri; Hutan Desa; KPHL; performa.

Abstract

Pupuk menjadi kebutuhan petani dalam memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi tanaman. Pupuk organik merupakan pupuk yang terbentuk dari bahan bahan yang bersifat organik, baik itu dari tanaman dan hewan. Pupuk organik dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi tanpa menimbulkan epek samping pada tanaman. Desa penyangga Taman Nasional Way Kambas memiliki potensi sektor pertanian yang tinggi, sehingga perlu dilakukan pendampingan. Mayoritas dari kelompok Tani Hutan Rabala one adalah petani, kegiatan pengabdian dalam mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan dapat meingkatkan sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Pendampingan mengenai produksi pembuatan pupuk organik dari gulma perlu dilakukan guna meningkatkan kondisi aspek sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Kegiata. Sasaran kegiatan ini adalah anggota Kelompok Tani Hutan (KTH) Labala one yang berlokasi di Desa Raja basa lama satu, kecamatan Labuhan Ratu, Kabupaten Lampung Timur. Analisis tingkat pemahaman peserta dilakukan untuk mengetahui peningkatan pemahaman dengan membandingkan tahap penilaian awal (pre-test) dan tahap penilaian akhir (posttest) dan menggunakan observasi untuk mengetahui kondisi dan situasi masyarakat. Hasil pendampingan terjadi peningkatan pemahaman dan praktik sebesar 21%. Dengan demikian, pemahaman mengenai produksi pupuk organik dapat memudahkan dalam dalam peningkatan sosial ekonomi masyarakat hususnya pada sektor pertanian.

Abstract

Green open space has an ecological function because it contains constituent trees that can provide comfort in the form of coolness to the surrounding area. This study aims to determine the level of comfort based on the Comfort Index/Temperature Humidity Index (THI) by measuring the temperature and humidity at Taman Merdeka green open space, Metro City, Lampung Province. The method used in this research is direct observation method, with sampling using saturated sampling method. The data that has been obtained is tabulated and analyzed using the convenience / THI method. The results showed that there were 129 individuals of the Taman Merdeka green open space composed of 14 species, with a tree density value of 81,13 trees / ha, a total canopy area of 8.545,29 m2. The comfort level at Taman Merdeka RTH is included in the Medium category with an average THI value at the three data collection locations of 25,99. The condition of the open green open spaces of Taman Merdeka, in the form of the number of individual trees, tree types, tree density, and tree canopy cover area can affect the temperature and humidity in the green open space so that the level of comfort will also be affected. The condition of the Taman Merdeka green open space is included in the Medium category, the hope is that the manager of the Taman Merdeka green open space can improve it so that visitors feel comfortable when doing activities in this green open space.

Abstract

Limbah tandan kosong kelapa sawit dengan jumlah yang banyak dapat dimanfaatkan menjadi biochar yang diharapkan dapat memperbaiki sifat fisik, biologi dan kimia serta menjadi pembenah tanah (soil amendment). Penanganan limbah yang tidak tepat akan mencemari lingkungan, upaya untuk meminimalisirnya yaitu dengan pemanfaatan menjadi biochar. Berat jenis biochar yang sangat rendah menyebabkan sulit tercampur merata dengan media tanam, cara mengatasinya dengan metode enkapsul. Pemberian aplikasi enkapsul biochar untuk perkembangan tanaman sengon merupakan alternatif yang baik. Serta dapat melindungi bahan aktif yang ada di biochar menggunakan bahan pembungkus, sehingga dapat memperbaiki kualitas dan pertumbuhan tanaman. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian enkapsul biochar tandan kososng kelapa sawit terhadap perkembangan akar sengon. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat perlakuan yaitu tanpa penggunaan enkapsul biochar, menggunakan enkapsul biochar dengan persentase 5%, menggunakan enkapsul biochar dengan persentase 10%, dan menggunakan enkapsul biochar dengan persentase 25%. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis ragam (Anara) dan uji beda nyata terkecil (BNT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian enkapsul biochar dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang baik dibandingkan dengan tanpa penggunaan enkapsul biochar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemberian enkapsul biochar tandan kosong kelapa sawit dengan persentase 25% menunjukkan hasil yang paling baik pada pertumbuhan akar sengon dibandingkan dengan perlakuan lainnya.

Abstract

As the largest natural rubber producing country after Thailand, Indonesia has an immense potential of rubberwood sources. Rubberwood waste is suitable for raw materials to produce charcoal through pyrolysis method, providing more value-added. Kilns used in the pyrolysis process are diverse. The different kiln used will affect the characteristics of the charcoal produced. This study aimed to determine the characteristics of rubberwood charcoal produced using box-type kiln and dome-type kiln. The characteristics analyzed were charcoal yield, moisture content, ash content, volatile matter, and fixed carbon. The results showed dome and box-type kilns produced charcoals with different characteristics. Char yield of charcoal produced using box and dome-type kilns was 15.82% and 14.21%. Charcoal produced using box-type kiln has a moisture content of 4.51%, ash content of 3.06%, volatile matter of 18.10%, and fixed carbon of 74.33%, while charcoal produced using dome-type kiln has a moisture content of 6.16%, ash content 2.52%, volatile matter of 6.26%, and fixed carbon of 85.06%. The charcoal characteristics met the SNI 01-1683-1989 standard, except for the moisture content of charcoal produced using dome-type kiln.

Abstract

Restoration is an effort to increase forest function for carrying capacity and maintenance of life support systems. Way Kambas National Park (TNWK) has been doing restoration activities at the Rawa Bunder Resort since 2021. This study aims to determine the strategy for developing the restoration of Rawa Bunder, TNWK. Collecting data through interviews with the parties (community and managers) using a questionnaire; then analyzing using the Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threats (SWOT) method. From the analysis results, the average total score on the IFAS matrix is 1.54, and the EFAS matrix is 1.15. These results indicate that the position of internal and external factors in the development strategy of the Rawa Bunder restoration, TNWK is in quadrant one. Thus, the strategy for developing the restoration of Rawa Bunder, TNWK, that must be applied is aggressive, namely by using strength to take advantage of opportunities.

Abstract

Olah tanah konservasi (olah tanah minimum dan tanpa olah tanah) menjadi alternatif penyiapan lahan yang dilaporkan dapat mempertahankan produktivitas tanah tetap tinggi. Salah satu faktor penting yang menentukan keberhasilan olah tanah konservasi adalah dengan mengembalikan residu tanaman setelah panen sebagai sumber bahan organik dalam bentuk mulsa yang mampu menjaga sifat fisik tanah. Disisi lain pengolahan yang intensif dapat merusak struktur dan ruang pori yang telah terbentuk dari bahan organik. Oleh karena itu, pengolahan tanah sebaiknya dilakukan seminimum mungkin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh sistem olah tanah dan residu pemupukan nitrogen terhadap sifat-sifat fisik tanah seperti struktur tanah, bobot isi, ruang pori total, dan kekerasan tanah pada pertanaman kacang hijau. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL). Perlakuan disusun secara faktorial 2 x 3 dengan 4 ulangan. Faktor pertama adalah residu nitrogen terdiri dari pemupukan 0 kg N ha -1 , 100 kg N ha -1 . Faktor kedua adalah sistemolah tanah terdiri dari tanpa olah tanah, olah tanah minimum, olah tanah intensif. Data yang diperoleh diuji homogenitasnya dengan uji Bartlet dan aditivitasnya dengan uji Tukey, kemudian dilakukan analisis ragam. Perbandingan nilai tengah pengamatan menggunakan uji BNT pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum struktur olah tanah intensif berbentuk granular, sedangkan olah tanah konservasi cenderung gumpal. Bobot isi, ruang pori dan kekerasan tanah pada sistem olah tanah intensif tidak berbeda nyata dibandingkan dengan sistem olah tanah konservasi, begitu pula dengan pemberian residu pemupukan nitrogen 100 kg N ha -1 tidak berbeda nyata dibanding dengan tanpa residu pemupukan N. Tidak terdapat interaksi antara sistem pengolahan tanah dan residu pemupukan N terhadap bobot isi, ruang pori total dan kekerasan tanah.
