Abstract

Abstract   This Research aims at describing the presentation of Talempong Sikatuntuang in Bararak alek anak daro and marapulai (bride and groom procession) in Subdistrict of Padang Alai of East Payakumbuh. This qualitative research used descriptive method in the research analysis. The Talempong Sikatuntuang in wedding ceremony is performed in form pageant which is played in ensemble music. The performance only presents talempong which is played in the time of  anak daro and marapulai (bride and groom) and the family of his father start the parade from the bride’s house to the groom’s house. Sikatuntuang is also played in the time of both the bride and groom arrive at the groom’s house.   Key word : Talempong Sikatuntuang, Pesta Perkawinan, Kualitatif.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the existence of Talempong Kayu in Talang Maur Village, Mungka District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. This is a qualitative research using a descriptive analysis method. The main instrument in this study was the researcher itself and was assisted by supporting instruments such as writing instruments and cameras. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The steps of analyzing data are collecting data, describing the data, and making conclusions. The results of this study indicate that Talempong Kayu musical instrument is one of the traditional arts in Talang Village, Mungka District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. It is played by being hit (idiophone). Talempong Kayu is only used as entertainment for the players, and serves as an emotional expression, aesthetic pleasure, and entertainment. The form of its presentation does not require other people or audiences. In the past, people in TalangMaur village had good enthusiasts and appreciation on Talempong Kayu. However, due to the development of the times, the enthusiasts have decreased considerably. This is due to the fact that today generation replaces their games byandroid phones that can access many games. Furthermore, there has been no government attention in developing Talempong Kayu Art. Talempong Kayu is only played by local people and is not really considered by the government. This is due to the fact that the wood Talempong Art only serves as a substitute musical instrument for training before the metal one, so this is not considered too important for deeper development.

Abstract

This work aims to display the creativity of female students in school, and it can be a reference for teachers in developing talents, interests and creativities of female students. The form of this artwork is percussion ensemble, the author will combine the rhythmic patterns of single stroke, double stokes, and triols in 4/4 hours with a simple form. It does not only focus on the instrument itself, the author will also combine with vowels to build atmosphere. Percussion ensemble is a musical composition that is adopted from the game of similar percussion instrument, such execution is very interesting because there is no melody instrument here. the incorporation of the rhythmic pattern of single stroke percussion instrument, dooble stokes, and triols can show a rhythm by exploring it into the percussion instruments used. Percussion ensemble is played by six players that consist of two tambua players, one snare drum player, one floor drum player, one cymbal and cowbell player, one bongo player and one of triangel player.

Abstract

The Purpose of this research is to find out the societies’ appreciation on devotee, lover, and creatif lover levels toward saluang dangdut’s performances in Padang city where is held on Pauh subdistrict. During the research, the writers see the live performances of saluang dangdut at Mr. Syahrial house which is the family appreciation to this performance is good, the neighbour and relative’s appreciation is really good. While, the resul of the research on the guest of Mr. Syahrial on this performance at Pauh subdistrict is very good. Keywords: Appreciation, Performance, Saluang Dangdut.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the Form of Bamboo Distilled Presentation in Balahak Tradition in Koto Periang Village, Aro Wood District Kerinci Regency. Qualitative research method that aims to get everything related to the topic. Data collection is done by library study techniques, observations, interviews and documentation. Distilled Bamboo art is a native art of kerinci people that reflects the social life of its people and develops in the community of Koto Periang Village which is displayed in balahak tradition. Balahak in indonesian synonym equal to procession, defile, kirab, convoy, parade is traveling together or accompaniment regularly with one purpose in a series of traditional, religious and so on ceremonies.  Balahak started the groom to the bride's house, on the way the player Distilled Bamboo played the song Nasib Malang with several pantuns over and over before getting to the bride's house. After that it again started for the two brides around the village, The Bamboo Flute Player played and the vocalist sang the song wahai pemuda dan Indonesia until returning to the bride's house.

Abstract

This type of research in this study was a qualitative with using a descriptive analysis approach that aims to describe the process of implementation of Drum-band extracurricular activity in SMP Negeri 11 Padang. The object of research was Drum band of SMP Negeri 11 Padang. The main instruments of this research were the researcher as an observer, the participants (actor) in an insider position also played a direct role in the object under study. Meanwhile, the supporting instruments used in this study were done by taking documentation from recording device in the form of observation, interview lists and photo camera. The results of the study illustrate that in the implementation of Drum-band extracurricular activity in SMP Negeri 11 Padang, the preparatory step of activitiy begins with the selecting Drum-band members, determining training material, determining training schedules, training and performances. In getting the most out of it, the builder makes two forms of training, which are regular weekly exercises conducted on Saturdays in Personal Development lesson and additional exercises that are done two weeks before Drum-band takes part in competitions or holiday. The first training begins with group musical instrument exercises, then followed by joint training of all musical instruments.

Abstract

This swan song of inspiration pursuant to ( 1) at galodo disaster that happened in West Sumatera. Target of this masterpiece is (2) for the depicting of musical instrument and atmosphere that happened at the time of galodo disaster come knock overing a area, later;then how situation of society which born down upon the the disaster before and after that disaster knock over. Form which [in] presenting in this swan song in the form of (3) and vocal game of modern and traditional castanets which in presenting in such a manner so that can depict atmosphere which wish in reaching.

Abstract

Abstract The cultural phenomenon of extracting the essence of sugar palms at Simalanggang Limapuluh Kota could not be separated from daily life of socienty at Simalanggang. The phenomenon referred to astructural sistem wich reflected the people’s way of thinking since it was created and developed by people themselves. This cultural was actually created in order to fulfill their needs. The cultural phenomenon was then tranferred into an idea of makin komposition about how people conducted the cultural of extracting the essence of sugar palm. However, it was not the process extracting that was tranferred. It was values of togetherness, considerateness, cooperation, and appreciation that were described into sounds. Fundamentally, it was assumed that traditional and western music colud ideally elaborate the values within the cultural phenomeonon. Kata Kunci : Air niro, Kebudayaan, Toleransi, Gotong Royong

Abstract

Abstract Implementation of the work Senting Meter to serve as expression of the composer’s musical experience, music composition has inspired and encourage a composer to learn music. In the implementation of the work, the composer present a collabortive instrument rebana with modern instrument with new packaging, so the composer can show that the game is the rebana can be merged with other instruments and not just use a rebana it just as well as eliminate the thought of teens today that says the game is boring rebana. Here composer present a development techniques Senting (a stong blow) is also one of the techniques of the game rebana. the development of rhythm, sound and colour on the paper Senting Meter is rendered into other instruments, both in terms of musical studies as well as the selection of the instrument. So the works presented more attractive and can be accepted at this time. Keywords: Senting, Meter
